Don't you just hate movies censored for TV?

I hate censored movies on TV...they'll show all the sex stuff (except for nudity) but then block out a guy getting his arm chopped off...whaa??
Science shows that people are far more influenced by sexual visuals than violence (which had little to no effect on the mind and body)

The Scarface DVD acknowledges the TV changes.

"Where'd you get the beauty scar, tough guy, eatin' pineapple?"

"How'm I gonna get a scar like that eating pineapple?"

That's why you shouldn't watch TV, I have a nice widescreen and cinema system in my room, no tv ariel, Purely for my ever expanding DVD collection, that way you never piss anything....

My favorite example was one time when I watched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake on TV... and they left all the violence in, all the way to the scene where Leatherface tosses the guy on a meathook and rubs salt on his leg stump wounds...

...but as soon as someone in the movie says "bull****", it was censored into "bullsweat". :D

Haha. That's great.

''Oh, no! Let's watch this man get his leg sawed off! Aww, that's great. Great stuff. .....Wait, did he just swear about bull feces. Well, that just won't do at all, now will it?!"

Blazing Saddles on tv, never in all my life have i seen a movie get more censored then that movie. i mean they used the word ****** as it was back in those days and on tv they cut it out. so when the old lady says "up yours ******" its just "up yours" or when the scene at the start where they ask for two ******s; i mean that is one of the funnest parts of the movie and its cut down to them being sent off no reason for it.

Of course not Lost.
Although technically, I've never seen that on TV, just DVD.
dvd is the way to go and if you rent them you only pay half the price to see the whole season, or if the show sucks half way you can just stop.

Did everyone here Peter Jacksons comments on the special edition dvd about in the two towers how in some place the severed head on a poll had a helmet in some editings. I believe it was in the U.S when they released it on tv. I have terrible problems with how TNT and most tv stations really gut good scenes and dialog.

I never noticed that Smokey and The Bandit was alot dirtier then i have always seen it on tv. When i baught the dvd boy there was alot more cuss words and lud comments. They were sure funnier but man i never realized how much censorship was on that movie for i had always seen it on tv.

You shud make a poll on ur favorite cuss word. It could be like 1-****, 2-****, 3-*****, etc... :woot:

Do they ever show Kubrick films on tv? That must be a complete mess if they do.

When was the Texas Chainsaw Massacre on TV? Which channel?
