Probably the truth is: they think Doom is a character too serious and deep for a family-fun movie.
I expect some excuse like "They made it of rubber to better express teh mad acting skillz of Julian", where, judging from the first movie, encasing him in lead could almost be an improvement..

That's what I've been saying after the first film. The Doom we all know and desire is to big and epic for Story's vision. 616 Doom would change the entire scope and feeling of Story's vision, he wouldn't fit. I see Doom portrayed by the likes of Langella, Irons or some other notable European actor in his prime, not McMahon.

I can see 616 Doom in a FF2 movie directed by Raimi, Jackson or some other notable director capable of making a sophisticated fantasy film. Ditto for Galactus.......but Story's vision, be it shackled by Fox or not, I can't see it.

Damn,......just damn. What other properties of Marvel's does Fox have? Let me start adjusting my expectations now.

What's with the eyes? That's what I'm curious about.

Yeah they look almost lit up in that pic.

It'll probably just be harder to see his eyes in the new mask than in the old one. BTW is it possible that they will just CG the armor onto the rubber parts? The newest pic seems to have odd orange dots on the arms for some reason.

That might explain why they've been so aggressive in trying to keep this photo off. It may not be complete.

Since we know they are overlaying the Surfer with CGI, they could very well be doing it at least partially on Doom.

Marco Polo is a children's pool game. One player stays out of the pool with his/her eyes covered and yells "Marko", the other player remains in the water and yells "Polo". The player out of the water uses this to judge where the other is. As is my understanding.

Basically, not dialogue suited for Dr. Doom.

I hadn't done, good find! I am guessing it will be the same technique as with Colossus in X3. The latest TV spot has shown that this is likely the case.

I love that new clip.....Doom's arms are very armored in that scene and he has the cloak and hood...it looks more like a dark green but only time will tell...

Red dots are usualy tracking markers for additional CG elements. So yes it is 99% certain it will be CG'd. Looking at it now its so blatnet yet none of us spotted it back then. Shows what extreme hate does.

I never hated that costume, I thought the first costume in the first movie was better, and this new one could've been better, but I still like it alright.
