Dr.Strange (Johnny Depp )

Please get a life.

You cannot defend your argument, can you?

As for Depp, I got to say that is a bizarre choice and it doesn't jump out at me for Dr. Strange. But the way I see it, neither did Robert Downey Jr. for Iron Man so I guess it could work. He has the look. As for Tim Burton directing? I'll have to go negative on that one. Burton and Depp don't always have to collaborate. Burton's style, in my opinion, wouldn't mesh with Dr. Strange. Plus Burton himself said he would never direct another comic book movie.

I think Johnny Depp could do well with the role and so could daniel day lewis . However i dont think Tim Burton should direct it.

Johnny Depp is too big an actor, we've had enough of those with marvel

hhmm....howz aboot david wenham (lotr, van helsing, 300)? dye the hair black and BOOM! you got doc strange.

del toro to direct...screenplay by greg johnson...elfman to score?

thanks savage...that means alot coming from you :)

David Wenham is awesome.

It may sound strange, but I think his performance in Van Helsing was great; it was such a contrast to his characters in LOTR's and 300.

Agreed on no Burton.

I can do without him putting his own unique 'stamp' on Strange.

I don't want Burton anywhere near this new Marvel goodness.

As for Depp I can't see him in the role, personally I think Liam Neeson would be great.

I think we've seen enough of Johnny Depp for the time being...

This will always make me laugh.

And yeah, I'm sick of the Burton/Depp combo. Give it a rest for a while.

Just say No to Tim Burton...

Depp is one of the best there is, so can nail it... I also like DDL and someone mentioned Gary Oldman (he is one of my favorites).

Weaving is right on for Domamu's voice...

Hell no to Depp. Every damn character he plays is exactly the same. I don't really want that tongue-in-cheek goofiness brought to Dr. Strange.

Daniel Day-Lewis sounds about perfect, IMO.

Over-exposed? Maybe. Repetetive? No.

Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Raoul Duke, Ichabod Crane, Agent Sands, Willy Wonka and, yes, Jack Sparrow, were all portrayed amazingly by Depp and each had their own characteristics that made them different from the last. He is easily one of the best actors of this generation.

Who thinks Johnny Depp would make a good Dr.Strange?
Also who thinks Tim Burton would be great as the Director?

I think this would be a freaking hit.:woot:

Depp could be anybody in my book.

Well Del Toro is said to be attached to the film.

I'd love to see Daniel Day Lewis; imo Johnny Depp is a bit too young for the role. I'd like to see a Dr. Strange who's about 50.

How young do you think Johnny Depp is*?

*Please note that I am in no way endorsing Johnny Depp for Doctor Strange, or anything for that matter. No way, no chance, not doing it.

I thought he was like 38-39. I didn't realize he was 45.

I just don't want a Dr. Strange in the same general age group as Bruce Banner and Tony Stark. He should be about 10 years older. Someone decidedly of the baby boomer generation, someone who would be more contemporary to a Charles Xavier for example.
