Discuss Dr Strange in Avengers 4. Fresh of an amazing possible MVP performance in Infinity War, we need to see the good Doctor back to see out the Endgame that he prophesised.

He shouldn't show up till near the end; give Tony the responsibility of figuring out what the Endgame is, and how to play it. But he should be part of the final team that goes against Thanos. His magic is visually awesome.

Good point about letting Tony figure out the end game before Strange arrives. Makes sense to do it like that.

I wish him a sizeable role in this film, and I hope we get to see him evolve into the Sorcerer supreme in his next solo venture (if it ever happens).

He took a big step up in IW from his own film so he is on good pace to achieve that.

He was the best part of infinity war for me. I hope we get more of him and his awesome powers. Avengers 3 really got me hyped for Dr strange 2.

I wonder how they plan to outdo what he did in IW. I can't even imagine it. And it's great heading into Dr Strange 2 now that he's had such a power boost. Same would go for Thor if he got another solo (which I really want to happen).

Dr Strange 2 will be awesome. His powers were incredible in IW: that thing with all the multiple arms, looking so Hindu deity, was really impressive.

Ha, didn't think of that but it does remind me of that a bit. It was like a demo reel of awesome-looking magic powers. Hope he adds to those over the course of Avengers 4 and Strange 2.

Totally. And didn't he wield a sword at some point, made out of orange light? That was cool. Everything about his powers is spectacular.

Yeah, loved that too. That was when he first started fighting Thanos I believe, and he used that orange light to keep Thanos' hand open so he couldn't use the gauntlet.

I didn't much care for him in his solo film, but in IW; he was amazing. I def will see a sequel of his.

I'm surprised it hasn't been announced as of yet.

I loved how he didn't take any crap from Stark.

"Unlike everyone else in your life, I don't work for you"

Yeah that was great.

Also awesome (altough maybe a little vulgar for the good Doctor):

Stark: What is your job besides making ballon animals?

Dr. Strange: Protecting your reality, *****ebag.

I hope there's more to Strange than just showing up at the end when everyone gets resurrected. The interplay between him and Stark was a high point of the IW.

Yes it was great. You don’t mean him showing up before everyone gets resurrected do you?

We are indeed in the Endgame now.
I liked that line, even more so coming from Strange and at such a critical point of the film, and now even more with it being the name of the film where everything will be revealed.

No I mean him along with all the other "dusted" just coming back in the last third. With the possibility of alternate timelines or realities being in play we could see Benedict or Tom back before the versions of them that died officially return is what I'm thinking.

Oh gotya. I haven’t quite got my head round how they might handle that aspect in these films, but Strange in particular would make sense to see earlier in some form to help the others make sense of shenanigans with time and alternate realities. He is the only one who has at one point seen all the future possibilities.

Ha, but naah, he loves him really. They got much closer by the end of IW despite all the early (hilarious) conflicts.

This JUST came to me... Strange goes like everyone else in the snap affected, right? Seems cut and dried. He's dead. He's not able to be part of the story.

Except... We've seen Strange leave his body in the MCU before. Classically his astral projection is a big part of Strange stories going back forever.

So... How do we know Strange didn't leap out before his body was totally obliterated? Without a physical form is he going to be an ace in the hole for the heroes, perhaps without them even knowing it? Think about it. He could influence them in ways they wouldn't know. He saw the way to victory. Who is to say as a formless being he wouldn't tip things into a direction that made the outcome he knows is best possible?

He can be the puppet master of the good guys in that way.
