Dormammu, I've come to bargain.
Rising after the Cloak catches him in the sanctum
Wong laughs and nobody can believe it!

Lots more goodies in there too. :)

-Every cloak scene
-Learning the time spells, really liked how they simply showed it with the apple
-the chase sequence was dope
-the sanctum sanctorum fight, the soundtrack was amazing for this.
-adele?

The time backwards fights in Hong Kong amazes me. The Beyonce part was cheesy but kinda works.

So much:
-the scenes after the car crash
-the honey tea trip
-the New York Mirror dimension scene
-Sanctum fight
-Kaelicius' speech (this is so good, it makes me really mad Mads was underused in this)
-Dormammu, i've come to bargain...

Dormammu, I've come to bargain. A scene that single handedly made a 3 star movie to a 4 star movie for me.

The cloak scenes were stand out. The cloak is the spiritual successor to the magic carpet in Disney's Aladdin. Loved it.

"Dormammu I've come to bargain" and "Teach Me" had me on the edge of my seat. Fantastic effects.

I really enjoyed the death sequence of The Ancient One. Felt the dialogue and acting by Swinton and Cumberbatch were spot on. The scene wasn't played for laughs and the music simply cuts off. It's probably the only scene I felt gave weight to the characters.

The line were she simply tells him that it's not about him really felt like Strange finally got IT. Great stuff.

Dormmamu, I've come to bargain.
The Ancient One's final talk with Strange.
Christine kissing him on the cheek and then walking away.

3 different scenes that sum up the moral of the film....loss can build character.

A lot of my favorites have been mentioned, but one that hasn't is.......while in training, Strange complains that he can't do the magic spells because his hands haven't healed properly....the Ancient One tells him he doesn't get it, it has nothing to do with the hands....she then brings out another student who shows that he only has one hand, and he then makes the spells that Strange says he can't make because his hands haven't healed.

I thought the moral of the story was "do not drive while distracted" it even said so at the end of the credits lol

But seriously those are some good observations and you made the movie even deeper than I previously thought

Strange lost:

His hands and by extension (no pun intended) his job

Had to lose his ego

Lose his life repeatedly

He lost all of those things he thought was important -
In order to learn that by losing everything he gained the most important thing; his full potential.

Can't decide between Strange's first trip through the multiverse or his bargain with Dormammu

It makes me hope that, come IW, when Strange meets Tony Stark beyond their similarities it's highlighted that Stark's continued flaws and mistakes throughout all these movies boil down to the fact that despite the revelations, and injury, that led him to being Iron Man he didn't really lose the things that defined him up until that point whereas Strange did.

Strange comforting Dormammu. I thought the whole climax / resolution was actually quite clever compared to some other comic book movies.

The fight scene in the Sanctum, Wong laughing, I liked Strange comforting Dormammu even though I didn't like the way he looked.

It was also really cool to see reconstruction in the climax instead of deconstruction :cwink:

other than ALL the amazing CGI, I think the most I laughed at was Wong laughing toward then end, and the Cloak bashing the Zealot's head repeatedly on the floor lol

- The prologue was outstanding; a memorable, inventive action sequence that's one of my MCU favorites bar-none. Hopefully they continue that trend in any sequels.

- Astral projection scene between Strange and TAO before her death. Was a nice character moment for both of them, and even though I think a bit more exploration of TAO's character would have strengthened this scene, it was still very effective.

- Strange vs. Kaecilius at the NYSS. Again, I'm pretty impressed by how creative Derrickson & Co. are with how Strange dispatches his foes. Aside from that, the back and forth between the two of them towards the end is a solid exchange as well.

There were several others, but these impacted me the most. Just caught it in 3d (bleh) this afternoon. Very good movie, and one of the MCU's better solos.

That was another thing I LOVED was the LOOK of Dormammu and the new Marvel Title opening & music.
I was trying to imagine what people saw when they were saying it looked like his face was turning in on it's self. To ME it was more of a wave or ripple rolling over his face. It kind of looked like they tried to combine the one Dormammu that looks like the build a figure with the classic Ditko.
Which brings up another thing I loved about the CGI. the DITKO universe art. I REALLY REALLY want to hear from Mr Ditko in some form about the film

Like many, the Dormammu, I've come to bargain, death, repeat. It's not just talent and intellect that personafies Strange to me, it is his sheer stubborness. He doesn't give up.

The cloak protecting him from Kaecilius, and then leading him to what he needed to do.

Warnings come after the spell.

Wong, I think, is at heart a daredevil, and I think he enjoyed the fight, right after his death was reversed. The surprise at his laughter.

Mordo's reaction to the Ancient One sending Strange to a cold snowy place, and how he wanted to go fetch him back. Like a mama bird, she just tosses him out of the nest to get him to finally believe magic has nothing to do with his hands.

- Astral Projection journey
- Astral projection fighting
- Last scene with the Ancient One
- Doctor Strange stealing books
- The split apart New York City
- The whole finale
- The attacking cloak
- The refilling beverage
- Hands don't work/trapped in the snow
- Strange doing the surgery naming songs
- Strange driving saying what patients he won't operate on.
