Dracula Year Zero Rises at Universal

I don't think Cooper was awful but that was definitely a weak ass speech he gave.

I disagree about Wolfman, the remake was not better than the original, what it was, was a major waste of potential.

Well, I disagree there. I think it delved into deeper territory than the original. Although I love the Wolf Man, I've always found it to be the weakest when compared to Dracula (1931) and Frankenstein (1931). It always felt like there was something missing from it.

With the remake I feel like it's all there. A deeper story & more backstory behind each of the characters. While I love Lon Chaney Jr.'s performance, imo Benicio's had more pathos & his Larry Talbot just felt more fleshed out.

And I didn't think it would happen but I ended up liking the werewolf designs of the remake more as well. They still allowed for full on acting while being a lot more fierce & bestial.

Just my $0.02 though.

But I will add Universal should've spent far less on the remake & shouldn't have taken 4 years to release it.

I too, really enjoyed the remake of The Wolfman. I do want to see Untold but I think The Wolfman will be better, IMO.

A modern Wolf Man could be really interesting if they actually manage to bring in some creative parties.
