I don't see the rush. Yes, I want to see this film, but not at the cost of lazy/rushed special effects and post-production.

This movie wont involve the 38 hours per frame that Transformeres required. Thats why that movie had like 8-10 months of post production.

Dragonball will have action sequences, but they will be no where near as demanding or time consuming as Transformers or Pirates. This movie only needs 4-5 months of post production, at most. It is an origin movie, and its made by fox, so it will have a bit of action at the middle and quite a bit at the end, but it will probably not pass the 2 hour mark.

NOTHING is set in stone. The release date April 3rd was an estimate. My guess is Fox saw that April is a bad month for blockbusters and said to James Wong:

"Are you sure you won't be finished by November or December 2008?"
and he said "We'll try."

Joon Park is all cool and hippie and so is his producer.

Eh I hope they don't dump it in January. That is worse. End of the year will be much better aka December 5th.

That means Japan won't get it first. But they can release it worldwide in december if they want to.

I've a friend that says to me that he knows somebody working in a theater, and they have planning for movies, and on this planning, Dragonball was previewed for the end of the year. This friend says it to me before the change of day release, when it still was in August...So I think in fact, with Joon Park itv, and Hoycinema news, and my friends informations, that in fact, Dragonball will release at the end of the year. Maybe a christmas movie.

It cannot be Christmas movie because there is a big family movie called Bedtime stories coming out and fox's own Marley and me.

December 5th is the best date but after 1 week fox's The day the earth stood still comes out.

Maybe they will move one of their flicks or scare aways some movies and make a space for themselves.
