This would be amazing...
If so....I will go to church every day
I don't like fox tuggin us around like this..we need a press confrence or a interview wit wong or chow immedietlly
i think its pretty much final that its april... fans just dont wanna wait that long and are trying to find any kind of hope they can for an early release.
I don't see the rush. Yes, I want to see this film, but not at the cost of lazy/rushed special effects and post-production.
This movie wont involve the 38 hours per frame that Transformeres required. Thats why that movie had like 8-10 months of post production.
Dragonball will have action sequences, but they will be no where near as demanding or time consuming as Transformers or Pirates. This movie only needs 4-5 months of post production, at most. It is an origin movie, and its made by fox, so it will have a bit of action at the middle and quite a bit at the end, but it will probably not pass the 2 hour mark.
The only thing that's important is this:
NOTHING is set in stone. The release date April 3rd was an estimate. My guess is Fox saw that April is a bad month for blockbusters and said to James Wong:
"Are you sure you won't be finished by November or December 2008?"
and he said "We'll try."
This of course is all assumption my dear friend.
Hi, I'm the webmaster of Dragonballfilm, I have a video of Joon Park speaking about Dragonball and the release day, but I'm not sure of the translation, could somebody help me?
The video is here
"I've been working my butt off in the deserts of Mexico"
"Dragonball should be released end of this year or early next year."
Thanks for the update, by the way.
wow I must say I am impressed by the fact that there are so many blogs related to dragonball movie.
Joon Park is all cool and hippie and so is his producer.
Eh I hope they don't dump it in January. That is worse. End of the year will be much better aka December 5th.
That means Japan won't get it first. But they can release it worldwide in december if they want to.
Yeah he's cool.
You didn't know mine before? I'm disappointed. I think Joon Park says truth. And it's a very cool guy, he send me a small message very nice!
Lol. Sorry dude. But now i will be visiting your site as well. keep updating us.
Yeah it's a really nice site. He posts stuff before JP and Movieland sometimes.
Ok, and if you see problems of translation, say it to me! I've a friend that says to me that he knows somebody working in a theater, and they have planning for movies, and on this planning, Dragonball was previewed for the end of the year. This friend says it to me before the change of day release, when it still was in August...So I think in fact, with Joon Park itv, and Hoycinema news, and my friends informations, that in fact, Dragonball will release at the end of the year. Maybe a christmas movie.
It cannot be Christmas movie because there is a big family movie called Bedtime stories coming out and fox's own Marley and me.
December 5th is the best date but after 1 week fox's The day the earth stood still comes out.
Maybe they will move one of their flicks or scare aways some movies and make a space for themselves.
And it wont come out November either because of Harry Potter 6 and James Bond 22
Fox can do what they want.
^Indeed. Just dump it in April with no marketing. It will be awesome.
I detect a hint of sarcasm...
Thanks. So the December release date is possible. I wish we had an official word from Fox though
