Is Dragonball Z Kai only available on DVD/Blu-Ray up to the Cell Games Saga?

I admittedly like the Buu saga, though it certainly doesn't hold a candle to the Frieza and Cell sagas.
 
Yeah, it's only up to Cell Games right now. The Buu Saga is just about the finish airing in Japan, and it's not been localized as of yet.
 
I watched the Resurrection clips on Youtube. Minus the ending, Vegeta is a boss. I am satisfied.

Looks like they're doing the 12 universes idea! WOOT! Looks like the Other Whis is female? I wonder what the other universes are like...
 
I kind of wonder if they'll make GT one of those alternate worlds, kind of like a world that resembled Z very closely up until the years after Uub until something happened to make it look a lot different than the canon world. Probably not, probably just ignore it, but wouldn't be too bad to give a nod for the (few) fans who enjoyed GT.
 
If they are doing the different universes, 10$ says we get a evil Goku.

Piccolo on the other better get to kick some ass. It's been waaaaay too long (since Android Saga).
 
If they did the multiverse bit like was done for DB Multiverse then it'll be awesome. I love the one where the Sayians took over with Goku gone evil.
 
Interesting. I like when they do other stuff besides train and fight. Can't wait!
 
I don't see how it would be a big deal to earn cash if they didn't mind showing off their powers. Look at Yamcha and his baseball career. Join a football team and never let your team lose unless the other teams paid you to. Join a logging company and rip trees out of the ground and fly them to the processing area faster than the trucks could hope to do.

Or just get a 'job' at Capsule Corp and let Bulma pay you $100,000 a year. :p

I get that Chi-chi is proud and all but she should know by now Goku has no marketable skills beyond fighting and blowing stuff up.
 
Goku could be the greatest delivery man of all time (instant transmission).
 
They could be hired to clear out the rubble from everything they keep breaking. Imagine hiring a guy that could throw tons of rock around like baseballs for demolition. A few laser like ki blasts or the destructo disk and the levels of a building could just be carried off like toys.
 
Summary of the first chapter by someone in the Kanzenshuu forums:
Basically. Goku imagines fighting Freeza/Cell/Boo while farming; Goten's off from school and is helping him out. Satan shows up and offers him money from the world peace prize (kind of sounds like the DB Earth equivalent of the Noble). Goku refuses at first (he wasn't the only one who fought Boo after all, and even Satan did his part), but finally agrees to accept some of the prize when Goten points out that with it, Chi Chi will probably allow him to stop farming and go off and train at Kaio's.
Meanwhile, out in space Beerus is having a big meal prepared for him by the inhabitants of some planet scheduled for destruction (the idea apparently being that he'll spare the planet if he likes their food). The aliens poison the meal, but it doesn't work on Beerus. Ultimately Beerus destroys the planet as scheduled, but the name of one of the dishes (the "Soup Yasai Jinkot") rings a bell with him: it reminds him of the "Super Saiyan God" from his prophetic dream. Beerus and Whis decide to head back home, so that Beerus can try and remember better. Meanwhile, the Kaioshins are keeping tabs on Beerus: East Kaioshin notes that a planet has been wiped out, while Elder Kaioshin has an uneasy premonition.
So, Goku seems set to head to Kaio's to train, while Beerus only knows of Super Saiyan God from his dream. In other words, all signs point to this being a prequel to (possibly an alternate version of) BoG.
A few more details:
Goten's off from school (since it's Sunday), and has brought his dad some bento. Goku has Goten drive the tractor while he eats the bento. Once it's finished, he turns into a Super Saiyan, then closes his eyes and imagines fighting Freeza/Cell/Pure Boo. While he does this, Goten drives off a cliff...so Goku saves Goten and the tractor (the tractor he throws back up to the top of the cliff). Goku says he's training in case someone strong like Boo ever turns up, but Chi Chi wants him to work (cue "mom's the real strongest in the universe" joke from Goten). Goten says grandpa Gyuumao is out of money, but Chi Chi thinks Goku ought to be able to get a job that would earn some money, like Mister Satan. Goku says he just likes to train.
And who should show up at that moment but Mister Satan himself (speak of the devil)? He wants Goku to have the 100 million zenny peace prize he received for beating Boo, since he doesn't feel he deserves it. Goku has to have it explained to him that 100 million zenny is 100,000 zenny one thousand times over. This freaks Goku out, and he doesn't want such an insane amount of money. Then of course he agrees when Goten points out that with the money, he wouldn't have to work and could just go to Kaio's to train.
With the Beerus/Whis stuff...I think I already covered everything. Beerus isn't terribly upset that the aliens try and kill him with poison (he mostly just thinks they're stupid for believing poison would work on him). Yet he still destroys their planet anyway, something he matter-of-factly announces ahead of time after trying their "Soup Yasai Jinkot"(the aliens then try and shoot him, but obviously that doesn't work either

The spelling of Buu as Boo is killing me in that.

But yeah, that does sound really weird, not what I was expecting at all. Does sound like the first few episodes may be [blackout]a retelling of Battle of Gods[/blackout] by the sound of it.
 
[BLACKOUT]Toriyama originally had much bigger script for BOG but had to cut it down because they couldnt tell it over one movie so this could be his way of retelling as he wanted to.[/BLACKOUT]
 
I'm a big fan of Beerus and Whis. Wasn't overly fond of the Super Saiyan God stuff, but those two characters helped compensate.

It was extremely refreshing to watch Goku and friends fight someone who is much more powerful than them but not strictly speaking evil.

We thought that with DBZ, specifically after the Cell Games, and we were disappointed then.

That'd actually be pretty cool.
Goku hanging out with some of the fellow cheery saviors of earth would be cool to see.

Yeah, Beerus and Whis were the best part of BotG. Helped that the movie as a whole captured the spirit of Dragonball: Action but more of a focus on comedy. Beerus and Whis really captured that.
 
Thing with Gohan is he's always valued a good education, and he really only butted heads with Chi Chi on the subject when it prevented him from helping his friends during a crisis. I never really got the impression that he craved the battlefield in the same way that Goku and Vegeta do. It's just that when push came to shove, he was ready to step up. In general, he seems to dislike violence, which only fuels his rage when they run across especially violent enemies.

So when the Cell Games were over and the Z fighters got to enjoy eight years of peace, it didn't seem out of character to me at all that Gohan spent most of that time hitting the books instead of training. And I admittedly enjoyed the budding romance between Gohan and Videl, despite how heavy-handed Videl's "I know he's alive despite all evidence to the contrary" got at times.
