while i can sort of buy that, goku should still teach the others a few of his techniques lol. I think at his point in his career he can be more of a teacher and less a learner. plus he kind of hogs the best moves for himself lol.

I like the retelling of the new movies in super. You get to see more of the world and universe. There is time in the series to expand on the movie versions. I can't wait to see the 6th universe saga though.

Goku is the ultimate leaner. Training, getting stronger, learning new skills. That is what he craves. It is a part of his DNA.

You need to watch their Dragon Ball Z abridged. It is the greatest adaptation/parody/redubbing of Dragon Ball ever. It starts off alright but by the tenth episode it gets amazing an never looks back. They're redoing the Cell saga now and they made first form Cell ****ing terrifying.

They have the voice actors actually talk during let's plays as the characters, so you'll have Vegeta scream at Nappa to shut up while they play Diablo 3. The actual voice actors from the official DBZ dub and Kai have actually said they're jealous about how amazing they are at it and how much fun they have doing it and even did a few voices themselves in one of the movies they did. They even had one of the guys from TFS do one of the voices from DB Xenoverse which they then used as a character they made (Named Dumplin) and played through the game.

I have seen the episodes so many times I never felt the need to watch the abridged ones. I thought they were the same as the show, since they are different I will check them out.

They basically keep the same story but radically alter the characters while keeping them similar to the show itself. Like Goku is still a bit stupid and loves to eat but here he's a moron who sometimes forgets he can do certain things like fly. Nappa has gone from a sort of okay villain to one of the greatest characters in the show. He's now a childish, possibly insane, idiot that is hilarious. Krillin is still the shows butt monkey but they take it up to 11 here. They even have an 'Owned' counter whenever he gets beaten up or does something dumb. And remember Mr. Popo? If not then you'll never forget him after watching this.

The show is amazing and they're just about to release episode 49 which should be the one where Cell absorbs 18.

I liked the Ocean dub voices too because I saw them first as well. I just look at it this way now, Vegeta from the saiyan saga to the namek saga he was younger. In the android saga he got older had a kid and his voice is deeper now.

Just watched Episode 4 of Super. Really enjoyable, but something was off with the animation for me. The line work seemed about three times too thick at points.

Brian Drummond's Vegata > Chris Sabat's. By miles and miles. Scott McNeil's Piccolo runs circles around Sabat's as well.

Here in Canada we saw the return of the Ocean Dub around the end of the Cell Saga (not sure why). It took the cast a while to find their footing (the actor portraying Cell was especially terrible), but ultimately, I enjoyed Ocean's take on the Buu Saga a lot more than Funi's.

In the UK I seem to remember we had the Ocean dub all the way up until the tail end of the Majin Buu saga, just after the Human Extinction Attack.

Chris Sabat really hams it up with his deep cruff voices, particularly Piccolo. It's terrible.
