The position of Bart's hand makes it look like he's putting that lump of kryptonite somewhere interesting...

Or is that what *I'm* seeing, and not what everyone else sees? ;)

When I first saw it, late last night.. I couldn't even tell it was Bart's hand. All I could see is a long fleshy thing sticking out of Clark's pants.. and the slight green glow at the base made it even funnier. Strategic cropping would make this picture even more interesting, but that would too bad for even me to do.

Have I mentioned that I'm having problems with my eyes lately?
And don't forget the "issues" and the dirty mind.. it all adds up ya know.:)

I should probably just stop sharing when I crack myself up.

Glad I'm not the only one with prevert-vision around here. ;)

Still, it is funny that they put that particular picture in the WB Gallery. Maybe someone working there has prevert-vision too? :D

I feel your pain, Chell! ;)

LOL! Yeah right. I'll only pull you down with me.

Pssst: Just enjoy the pain with the rest of us and don't seek help. We all know there's no cure to this addiction anyway. :D

Well, I'm not an expert - but I'm working on it. I'll get there eventually. We should all have goals in life, doncha know? And gosh darn, I love this particular addiction. It keeps me all warm and fuzzy inside. :D

[SHUDDERS]

I've got 45 minutes to go at work today, and that just blew any concentration I had left. LOL! ;)

I think they altered TW's make-up for that one episode so he wouldn't look so young. When Martha says to Clark in the loft scene that he looks different and that she could see it in his eyes, he really DID look different. Well, apart from the open shirt that is, which is so unlike Clark. And what's up with that anyway? For a character whose always accused of losing his shirt (literally) in every episode, he usually keeps it buttoned completely to the top when it IS on. ;) :D

Maybe, but I think it can be chalked up more to Tom's acting. He really projected a completely different persona in every move, look and speech. He does Dangerous (i.e. RedKal, Lionel/Clark) frighteningly well. I still hope for a movie where he plays a really baaad guy one day. The juxtaposition of that preternaturally gorgeous face on the outside and an evil heart within would work SO well with him. Okay, it would work for ME at least. ;)

More than the danger factor, Lionel as Clark was possessing and self-assured, something that nobody can ever claim Clark to be. It's such a distinct difference in style...

The problem with a role like Clark is that it's very difficult to be convincingly introverted, much more so than it is to be loud and brash; yet at the same time, if you do it well, nobody really notices that you're doing anything. John Glover said as much.

Exactly.

I think that's the reason why so many people discount his acting skill.

He is very talented and Transference proved it.

While I agree it's totally within his capabilities to pull off such a role (antagonist), I prefer him more as the romantic or hero lead - or both. Not every actor can do that believably well, but it seems to be effortless with Tom. His easy-going nature probably spills over onto those he's working with, making chemistry less of a concern. And we all know what he does for his female costars. *ahem* :D

I honestly hope he doesn't do a rom-com, yet at least. It's just seems too predictable... Ashton Kutcher anyone? Yeah, it may make get his face on People every other week, but I really want to see Tom do something different.

Of course, I'd watch him do *anything*.. (I believe we're all in agreement about the Phonebook readings. ;)), but you know I'd vote for the edgier, weird stuff if it were up to me.

And just to make everyone crazy.. the more I think about it, I'd also be fine with him doing a CBTD 2. :D I loooove Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, and of course, Tommy boy. Maybe they'd get a better script together for a 2nd one. I thought it was a cute family movie.

He's going to be in a horror movie, but he's *still* the hero. I want him to play against type and be a mad axe-wielding murderer or something.

Whoa whoa, back up a bit LOL. I said romantic or hero lead, ie the protagonist. A romantic lead would be like Hugh Jackman's character in Kate & Leopold, minus the accent of course. Ashton Kutcher sux the big wazzoo - I wouldn't want Tom to do *anything* that turkey has done - especially the goofy rom-com stuff.

Heroes come in LOTS of different genres. Sci-fi, fantasy, action, adventure, horror, and yes, even comedy. But I wouldn't want to see Tom do the bubbling routine. I'm looking forward to The Fog because he's the lead as well as the hero in that flick. And the icing on the cake is the sexual humor w/o it being a rom-com. I'm all set, big time. :D

I'd vote for the edgier, weird stuff if it were up to me.
Hey, that works for me too. I prefer rooting for the hero, but it doesn't mean I dislike antagonists. If he's gonna do edgy though, I'd rather see him do trigger happy, make-my-day, yippee-ki-yay type characters like Martin Riggs (Lethal Weapon), Dirty Harry or John McClane (Die Hard.) He could still be the hero - but be gritty, rude, crass, unpredictable, and uh.... darn sexy all at the same time. And he doesn't have to die at the end. LOL See my point? :)

And just to make everyone crazy.. the more I think about it, I'd also be fine with him doing a CBTD 2.
I'm with ya! Bring it on. He was adorable in that film.

And SHAME on us for going off topic. Gotta fix dat...
