Or is that what *I'm* seeing, and not what everyone else sees?![]()

Still, it is funny that they put that particular picture in the WB Gallery. Maybe someone working there has prevert-vision too?![]()

AgentPat said:I think they altered TW's make-up for that one episode so he wouldn't look so young. When Martha says to Clark in the loft scene that he looks different and that she could see it in his eyes, he really DID look different.
More than the danger factor, Lionel as Clark was possessing and self-assured, something that nobody can ever claim Clark to be. It's such a distinct difference in style...Serene said:He does Dangerous (i.e. RedKal, Lionel/Clark) frighteningly well.

The problem with a role like Clark is that it's very difficult to be convincingly introverted, much more so than it is to be loud and brash; yet at the same time, if you do it well, nobody really notices that you're doing anything. John Glover said as much.
While I agree it's totally within his capabilities to pull off such a role (antagonist), I prefer him more as the romantic or hero lead - or both. Not every actor can do that believably well, but it seems to be effortless with Tom. His easy-going nature probably spills over onto those he's working with, making chemistry less of a concern. And we all know what he does for his female costars. *ahem*Serene said:Maybe, but I think it can be chalked up more to Tom's acting. He really projected a completely different persona in every move, look and speech. He does Dangerous (i.e. RedKal, Lionel/Clark) frighteningly well. I still hope for a movie where he plays a really baaad guy one day. The juxtaposition of that preternaturally gorgeous face on the outside and an evil heart within would work SO well with him. Okay, it would work for ME at least.![]()

Whoa whoa, back up a bit LOL. I said romantic or hero lead, ie the protagonist. A romantic lead would be like Hugh Jackman's character in Kate & Leopold, minus the accent of course. Ashton Kutcher sux the big wazzoo - I wouldn't want Tom to do *anything* that turkey has done - especially the goofy rom-com stuff.Serene said:I honestly hope he doesn't do a rom-com, yet at least.
Hey, that works for me too. I prefer rooting for the hero, but it doesn't mean I dislike antagonists. If he's gonna do edgy though, I'd rather see him do trigger happy, make-my-day, yippee-ki-yay type characters like Martin Riggs (Lethal Weapon), Dirty Harry or John McClane (Die Hard.) He could still be the hero - but be gritty, rude, crass, unpredictable, and uh.... darn sexy all at the same time. And he doesn't have to die at the end. LOL See my point?I'd vote for the edgier, weird stuff if it were up to me.
I'm with ya! Bring it on. He was adorable in that film. And just to make everyone crazy.. the more I think about it, I'd also be fine with him doing a CBTD 2.
