The rules:
This is one of four threads containing matches.
The threads will be in use for 7 days. Days 1-3 (Friday-Sunday) are strictly setup time for owners to plead their cases, tell us their team’s strategies, breakdown the match ups, and do whatever else they can/want to do to try and convince you that their team would pull out a victory. Please, let the owners do this on their own with no help from you, the fan.

Debates will open to everyone on Day 4 (Monday) once I post that they are open. On Day 6 (Wednesday) I will post and tell everyone that voting may begin. Only after doing so will voting start. Any votes cast before I open voting will not count.

Look over the matchups and read the owners strategies and take into consideration how in-character each character is. Afterwards, use your best judgment to decide who you think has the best chance to win the match up. (Note: The length of a writeup is up to the owner. Do not punish owners just for having a shorter writeup.)

To vote, post the team names you think will prevail in each match. Remember, to vote for each match up or your vote will not count! The teams with the highest vote total at the end of the 7th day (Thursday) will get a W while the other will get an L. (Equal votes will result in a tie.)

The battleground for this week is: The Savage Land

Nova (Richard Rider) – (MU):
Continuity: 616
Powers and skills: Cosmically powered human with superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, durability and interstellar flight capable of generating a powerful energy beam known as a Gravimetric Pulse. Since the events of “Annihilation”, Nova carries the preserved physical brains of Xandarians collected over thousands of millennium, the Worldmind, who is among other things, capable of detecting weaknesses. The Worldmind also carries the Nova Force, which powers the Nova Corps, which has augmented Nova’s abilities greatly. His alien uniform is equipped with a wide variety of sensors and defense mechanisms.
Resources: Worldmind, carrying all data collected by the Nova Corps.

Quasar (Wendell Vaughn) – (MU):
Continuity: 616
Powers and skills: Possesses the Quantum Bands which allow him to control all forms of energy and generate constructs of any shape he concentrates on including force fields, giant weapons, and a suit of protective armor (his quantum armor). He can also fly and can use the bands to teleport by creating portals into the quantum zone, the source of the quantum bands power. His Quantum Bands also guard his mind against psychic control. While in possession of the Quantum Bands Quasar can fly at faster then light speed. Has had basic espionage training through S.H.I.E.L.D. and has had extensive hand-to-hand combat training through both S.H.I.E.L.D. and Captain America.
Resources: None.

Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff) – (MM):
Continuity: Ultimate
Powers and skills: Quicksilver is able to move at superhuman speed, fast enough to run across the U.S.A. in a matter of minutes. His perceptions and reflexes are similarly swift. He’s stated to have been capable of going mach 10 (10 times the speed of sound) since early youth.
Resources: Ultimates files.

Beast (Henry “Hank” McCoy) – (MR):
Continuity: 616
Powers and skills: The Beast possesses superhuman strength, agility, endurance, and speed, despite his bulk. The Beast possesses enhanced senses, the ability to secrete pheromones to attract members of the opposite sex, as well as a slight healing factor that allows him to regenerate minor wounds and recover quickly from minor ailments such as colds. The Beast also possesses cat-like night vision as well as razor-sharp claws on his hands and feet. Hank is considered one of the world's experts on mutations and evolutionary human biology. He has extensive knowledge of genetics, biochemistry, and a variety of other scientific fields.
Resources: X-Men files.

Animal Man (Buddy Baker) – (DR):
Continuity: Post-Infinite Crisis New Earth
Powers and skills: Normal human being with the ability to access a morphogenic field known as the Lifeweb which enables him to take on the attributes of any animal in the known universe. Abilities extend to being able to communicate with other animals and focus the energies of the morphogenic field as power blast.
Resources: JLA files.

TEAM ALPHA WOLF SQUADRON VS IN JESUS’ NAME
WEEK 1 LINE-UP PREPERATION

First off, Quasar, Nova and Beast would recognize and know one another. Although Quicksilver would probably try to attack the others at first, Quasar would easily be able to contain him and they could explain the situation. Animal Man would probably just accept it with a nod and a smile. He’s no stranger to these kind of situations, and like Beast, he’s quite the people person.

Quasar would logically take command. Although Nova has gotten quite a bit of experience during the Annihilation War, he’d defer to Quasar without hesitation. Although Beast is a capable leader in his own right, he’d have no trouble listening to Quasar, who is probably the team’s best option as leader right now. Again, Animal Man would follow their lead without too much hassle. Quicksilver might be a little arrogant, but he has enough respect for the hierarchy of authority to know he should shut up in this case.

Beast is quite familiar with the Savage Land, so he could easily fill his teammates in on the Savage Land. Beast is also familiar with 4/5ths of the opposing team, namely Northstar, Multiple Man, Mountjoy and Stryfe. Quasar and Nova are both extremely familiar with Thanos. Together with the info they naturally get, they should be to prepare extremely well for the opposing team.

Now, we’ve seen that, when combined with a genius like Reed Richards, Quasar can make a contraption capable of sucking all of the cosmic energy out of Galactus. For this week we combine Quasar with genius Hank McCoy to create some good old-fashioned telepathy blockers. Quasar’s powers are vast enough to protect the entire team from Stryfe if need be, but with the new ubers vs. regs rules, he only needs to protect himself and Nova.

There is really no other preparation necessary besides combat practice.

TEAM ALPHA WOLF SQUADRON VS IN JESUS’ NAME
WEEK 1 THE FIGHT

Once the match starts, the team will pretty much immediately split, to take on their respective opponents, as they would’ve planned in the preparation time. They would be able to communicate via constructs made by Quasar. Quasar would also act as defacto leader, but most of the team has enough experience to act on their own.

Break-downs first round:
  • Nova vs. Thanos
Nova’s greatest asset in this battle is the fact that he knows everything about Thanos thanks to the Worldmind, while Thanos would have precious little info on Nova’s current state. After all, he died before he could every fully see Nova’s powers. That gives Nova the edge of surprise, and he’s sure to not be pulling his shots, engaging Thanos where possible, holding out till he can be assisted by Quasar.
  • Quasar vs. Stryfe
As I said in my prep-time, Quasar would have a telepathy blocker ready, pretty much nulling Stryfe’s greatest asset here. Every other power at Stryfe’s disposal can be blocked or absorbed by Quasar’s quantum energies. While Quasar’s resources are virtually inexhaustible however, the same can’t be said for Stryfe. Considering the fact that while this fight goes on, Nova is battling Thanos, Quasar isn’t going to be wasting any time. Stryfe’s good, but Quasar is cosmic. With Stryfe’s primary power blocked, there should be no reason Quasar doesn’t win this one.
  • Quicksilver vs. Northstar
Quicksilver engages Northstar, guided by Beast, because of the fact that he’s also superfast, and he’s much much faster than Northstar is. Northstar is incredibly limited in this environment, considering he needs to engage his opponents on the ground. Flying isn’t much of an option in the densely covered forests of the Savage Land. In the inevitable confrontation, Quicksilver has the advantage of greater speed. Once Quicksilver is done, he can aid Beast in his battle against Mountjoy.
  • Beast vs. Mountjoy
Beast’s mission against Mountjoy is clear. Avoid and dodge. With his superior speed and agility, Beast should be able to dodge Mountjoy long enough for one of the others to come and help him out. Fortunately, Beast knows what Mountjoy is capable of, and the Savage Land is practically Hank’s natural habitat.
  • Animal Man vs. Multiple Man
Here, Animal Man has the advantages of power and knowledge. He’ll have info supplied by Beast, while Madrox will have absolutely no info about Animal Man than the information he’s been given. As such, Animal Man will know of Madrox’s strengths and limitations. Animal Man could use Madrox’s powers against him, by creating dupes of his own (which he does by copying the protozoa). He can then focus on taking out the Madrox prime. Since Madrox has no added strength or speed, he’d essentially be helpless against Buddy’s superior speed and power.
Still left:
Nova/Quasar vs. Thanos
Quicksilver/Beast/Animal Man vs. Mountjoy

Break-downs second round:
  • Nova and Quasar vs. Thanos
Thanos is good, but can he stand up to these two? Quasar flies in to take over for Nova for a while, giving him the chance to catch his breath and heal. With a two-pronged assault, I’m afraid Thanos has to buckle eventually. Quasar can beat the Silver Surfer, and with Nova’s recent upgrades, there are precious few cosmics that can still give him trouble. He can take on hordes of Kree Sentries.

It’s likely one of the two will fall against Thanos’ might though, which would most likely be Nova. Although powerful, Thanos is ultimately more cunning and experienced. Still, he’d be sufficiently weakened for Quasar to take him down. In one of his last appearances, he was able to keep Galactus at bay for a few moments. Nonetheless, Thanos is beaten against these overwhelming odds.
  • Beast, Quicksilver and Animal Man vs. Mountjoy
Mountjoy’s basilisk field would eventually nab Beast, and then it’s pretty much over and done for. With Beast’s knowledge, Mountjoy would be quite the threat against Animal Man, but I’m afraid he can’t stand up to Quicksilver. Quicksilver’s speed surpasses Mountjoy’s in such a degree that he’d have snapped Mountjoy’s neck before he could even activate his basilisk field.
Still left:
Quasar, Quicksilver and Animal Man.

WINNERS: TEAM ALPHA WOLF SQUADRON

Coronary vs. Randall Dowling

The arrogance. The stockpiles of hightech technology, alien and otherwise. The cutthroat ruthlessness. All fade and become more than useless as Randoll Dowling, one of the most intelligent men in his native universe, is stalked through the dense jungles of the Savage Land, his single power completely inaffective against the intangible wraith that now pursues him.

Exotic fauna bends and breaks beneath his retreating feet. Intriguing, really. Surely he would have samples taken and catalogue, along with the native beasts of this land. After killing the natives to avoid the problems that would insue, of course.

Desperately reaching out with his mind and attempting to once again lay his mind dominating "eggs", he once again fails against a man who's mind is simply not there.

Randall Dowling slumps to the ground, a marionette with his strings cut. The worlds smartest man becomes the worlds least capable genius as a massive stroke destroys his capacity to do anything beyond blinking. His shell of a body is left without a second thought given to it, to be taken by the plants and creatures of the Savage Land.

Devil Slayer vs. Rose Tattoo

Rose Tatto stands, alert. She has her best weapons drawn, her very most lethal customs. Her eyes dart through the dense Savage Land foilage. She would have even deadlier weapons if she or her team had more than the slightest idea who this "Devil Slayer" was.

Rose Tattoos speciality... The ability to create specalized weapons that can kill anything. Sadly, as Rose is about to find out, it's just about who you can kill, but who can kill you...

The pitch black edge of the Ebony Blade lashes out from a hole in reality, slicing through all five fingers on Rose Tattoo's right hand. Her weapons drop, a crimson mist covers exotic fauna, and Rose drops to her knees.

Scurrying frantically she gropes the ground, retrieving her weapon with her left hand and attempting, desperately, to find her phantom attacker among this dense forrest. And she does. Not 25 feet in front of her he's appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. To a trained killer like Rose, it takes her no more than a second even with a severed limb and to squeeze off half a dozen shots.

But her attacker does not fall. He dissapears. Or to be more precise Devil Slayer's telepathic illusion does.

The back of Rose Tattoo's head explodes as a single bullet from a weapon over half a century old explodes into her skull at point blank range. And so the woman who can kill anything is killed herself by the simpliest, most low tech of weapons. A simple WW II era pistol. And Eric Simon Payne simply dissapears.

Ambrose Chase vs. Blade

Exotic birds explode into the sky as hails of bullets explode, destroying the beauty of the Savage Land as they tear into ancient trees and cut holes through delicate fauna.

Ambrose Chase and Blade roll, take cover, and explode through the thick undergrowth as they desperately attempt to level their crosshairs on the other, to land that all important single shot, gunplay at it's finest.

Blade's superhuman speed and reflexes are the deciding factor as he somesaults through the air, sword gleaming towards Ambrose Chase. Ambrose falls back on his powers, physically overmatched by his superhuman oppoenent.

Time slows ever so slightly as Ambrose Chase levels the playing field, narrowly avoiding Blade's sword swipe which would of removed his head from his shoulders mere seconds ago. But seconds have taken on an entirly new meaning as Ambrose's selective physics distortion field is exercised. Ambrose moves through his distorted time field as Blade thrusts, swipes, and does his best to disembowel a man who is one step ahead of him at all time.

Leaving nothing to chance, Blade's weaponary... Guns, knives, sword, & daggers rot as entropy takes affect, time speeding up around them as Ambrose exercises another facet of his powers.

Confident he can still defeat his all too human oppenent through supeior skill and strength, Blade renews his attack via hand to hand combat. But superhuman speed can't overcome time dilation and Ambrose Chase continues to out-manueves Blade.

Reaching out with his power once again, Ambrose Chase speeds up time once again, but this time in a far more lethal manner... Blade crumples to the ground, healing factor working to to and beyond it's limits, trying to keep him alive as his lungs shrink and flake to near nothingness as they're aged beyond even their vampiric lifespan.

The temporary still that fell over the Savage Land as their guns ceased to fire fades once again as Ambrose Chase stands over a prone Blade. A handful of bullets shatter the silence for a few more violent moments... And then... silence.

Spartan 3.0 vs. Dr. Doom

Animals long thought extinct on planet Earth flee, stampading over one another as their home, the Savage Land, is destroyed by a battle raging far above it.

Trees are bent back and broken as if caught in the most powerful temptest to ever rage on this planet. Fires rage created by falling superheated plasma rage and any and all water within the battlefield and beyond boils and evaporates into the sky, creating great plooms of steam. And above it all, Dr. Doom and Spartan wage war.

Power Cosmic and Void powered energy meet as they trade blasts of energy. But this is merely the beginning, the simpliest uses of their unimgaginable power. A feeling out process of one another in this high stakes game.

And pressure begins to mount. Spartan teleports, slowly at first and then with increasing intensity. Above Doom, below him. Behind and directly in front, all the while funneling the power of the Void into raw blasts of power, attempting to break through Doom's defenses.

And then the moment comes. The decision is made, the split second chance to win this contest. Spartan does not hesitate.

His after-image still lingers as he teleports into existance behind Dr. Doom. Before Doom can even begin to react a punch powerful enough to crack a moon in half lands on Von Doom, sending his blurred form exploding into the ground leaving a crater equal to that of a meteor strike.

Long before the dust is settled from the apocalyptic impact, Dr. Doom rises from the crater, energy bleeding from his fists.

Spartan charges towards Doom, ready to land another blow, and another, and yet another, until the battle is won. But he's stopped dead in his tracks as Doom extends his arms, hands clenched and brow furrowing.

A gravity well springs to life beind Spartan, the four fundamental forces of the universe being shaped and manipulated by the power cosmic wielding Dr. Doom. All local matter supercompresses into a micro-singularity. Time closes down around the event horizon, and even for a being who thinks and reacts in nanoseconds, those fractions of a second have crawled into an eternity.

Leaving nothing to chance Doom materalizes previously created technology crafted on the knowledge of Spartan given to him by Ambrose Chase. Energy tendrils snake from Doom's hands, moving towards and then INTO Spartan. And if he could react in anything approaching real time, the nearly human android would double over as if his very soul was being stolen. And maybe it is.

Energy pours from the time locked Spartan's body, drawn towards the iron fist of Dr. Doom. Two small technological devices levitate in front of Doom, both created through the genius intellect of one Victor Von Doom. Within mere moments, both are filled. One containing the Void essence of of Spartan, the other, Spartan's disembodied consciousness.

"Be thankful I did not leave either of your essences to the Magus, machine thing. I have stolen greater power in my time, but I will admit to at least one facet of your being peaking my interest".

The Magus vs. X-Man

The first blow very well could be the last. A two fisted axe handle blow landed by a teleporting Adam Warlock directly on the chin of the levitating X-Man. His head swivels violently, almost comically, seemingly barely able to keep itself on his shoulders. Half of his teeth instantly explode into a rough white powder, the other half simply break into pieces, filling X-Man's mouth with a combination of shredded filament and pulsing gore.

X-Man lashes out with his powers, attempting to gain a moments respite, to turn the tide of this battle. Adam Warlock simply disappears into the folds of his cloak. The second blow is a knee to the back of X-Man that nearly bends him in half. The breaking of numerous vertebra echoes through the Savage Land like a gunshot. The third is a blackhanded blow to the cheek of X-Man, a clenched fist that breaks X-Man's jaw.

In another time and place, this may have been a fight. A contest. A give and take battle between good and evil. Yin and Yang. Entropy and creation. Now it is simply a mad God 5000 years X-Man's senior systamatically beating a young, overmatched mutant to death. A mutant who even now falls from the sky like a bird with one wing, spiraling almost in slow motion to the earth of the Savage Land.

X-Man rises to his knees, vainly reaching out with his mind once again but his greatest asset is all but useless against the telepathy proof, impenetrable mind of Adam Warlock. The Magus advances on X-Man, walking on air almost casually towards his prey. X-Man's energy onslaught bends around the Magus, his hand outstretched forming a forcefield around himself.

"The Magus bestows no kindnesses, human, but know that your inability to peer into my mind is one unto itself... For you would not like what you would discover there.

Oh, but your mind, child... I have more than glimpsed it. He terrifies you, does he not? This "Apocalypse"? This self proposed demi-god who ruled your world and made it in his own image.

Child, I have imposed my will on entire galaxies in mere days! I have conquered my universe entire! The work, the evils of this Apocalypse... They... are... nothing!

Fear Me!"

The Earth, the stone and the dirt of the Savage Land itself raises, heaving. But not without purpose. Not without reason. And the reasoning is Adam Warlock's. The tidal wave of rock and stone becomes fluid, warping, taking on almost human features in it's gigantic mass. And the features are Apocalypse's.

X-Man's heart skips a beat as the giant mass once again becomes fluid, rising up far into the sky, seemingly defying gravity for a moment as it almost floats, suspended... and then crashes down on the downed X-Man. Thousands of tons of rock and Earth that moments before took the form of X-Man's worst nightmare... At least until he met the Magus.

Dust still settling, Adam Warlock once again uses his telekinesis, lifting the battered and broken X-Man from the pile of rubble.

"You, child of Earth, are as fragile as the most delicate butterfly to the Magus. And I have crushed you as such. Both as a sentinent being, and a beacon of hope.

But your soul... Your soul is still pure. Untouched. But soon it shall be as twisted and broken as your physical form. So the Magus bestows no kindnesses."

X-Man falls to the Earth, a withered husk, as The Magus absorbs his soul into his soul gem, an artifact of unimagible power. And so they've fallen.

Annotations

Adam Warlock is, and always has been, telepathy proof. He's casually kicked Moondragon from his mind, and the barred her from it completely.

The Magus used a combination of telekinesis and rapid evolution using the Soul Gem to create the giant size Apocalypse in an attempt to break X-Man mentally.

Devil Slayer initially attacked Rose Tattoo from another dimension with the Ebony Blade, and then landing the killing blow as he teleported in behind her as she was distracted by his illusion.

Points

Leadership

My team has two of the most competent villian leaders in the Marvel Universe, Dr. Doom and Adam Warlock. Doom's leadership capabilities are best highlighted by Secret Wars as a whole, and Adam Warlock has shown the ability to plane and scheme on par with Thanos more than once, to manipulate cosmic beings like pieces on a chess board.

Weak Link

In the entire 10 year run of Planetary we never once saw Randall Dowling engage in one fight. He was never intended to be a combatent, and it shows in my write-up. He has a single power, a very underwhelming one... And when it fails, what's he doing to do? He's a weak link and it drags your entire team down.

Well, I'm pretty proud of that.

Still pretty rusty. I think I'll improve.

Feedbacks welcome.

ive been out of town since friday, ill have my write up up asap

Prep Time:

Nate Grey
Spartan Jack Marlowe
Rose Tattoo
Blade
Randall Dowling

First, Randall Dowling has conquered the Earh hundred of times over. So while not a competent soldier, as an orchestrator or leader there is none better. Except maybe Spartan who has the ability to ALWAYS pick the right strategy(not just because he's been programmed with such information but he has void's precognitive abilities as well)...he's a Kherubim war lord who has Majestic level strength and durability PLUS energy projection teleportation and other "power cosmic" like abilities.

Then we have Nate Grey, whos not just your average telepath, but the most powerful psionic EVER. He so powerful he can teleport himself between dimesions, bend electro-magnetic fields with his telekenisis, can shift light partcles around to create holograms....and since he's moving light, he doesn't even have need his telepathy to do so.

Their best weapon is probably Rose Tattoo, the spirit of murder, can kill anything, even things that have been thought unkillable before they meet her.

All of the above being said, Spartan and Dowling come up with the best strategy possible, and it looks nothing like what X wrote.

Dowling has not conquered the Earth a hundred times over. He didn't even conquer it once, evident by the fact that Planetary and the Four waged war for decades. And, eventually, he was out-manipulated and killed by Elijah Snow.

Dowling almost took over Earth. The Magus has taken over his entire universe, and Adam Warlock has manipulated cosmic beings more times than I can keep track of.

Moondragon with the Mind Gem has been potrayed as an equal and at one time a direct superior to Xavier. X-Man does not dwarf her telepathy wise and she was completely ineffectual against Adam Warlock with her telepathy.

Their best weapon is probably Rose Tattoo, the spirit of murder, can kill anything, even things that have been thought unkillable before they meet her.

Rose can kill anything she can get a bead on you mean. Get back to me when she can shoot at people that are in other dimensions.

All of the above being said, Spartan and Dowling come up with the best strategy possible, and it looks nothing like what X wrote.

My team simply has better leaders and more proven strategists. It is going to look like what I wrote because your team was out maneuvered and over powered by mine.

Debating is done after the write-ups are posted, not in or during write-ups.

That means you ignore what your opponent has said or done until it's time for debates.

X, you should know this.

I can't rebuke points from the opposing side once they're made?

Nevermind that I haven't done this in a year and a half. Ease up.

ROUND I

BLADE v. Ambrose Chase

They engage eachother each believing hey have the upperhand. While Blade has supernatural enhanced vampiric strength, Chase is an expert marksman who has a limited probability filed allowing him to bend space/time in his bubble. It allows him to get a few shots in on Blade, but Blade's healing factor is more than enough. Chase doesn't realize Blade has been toying with him. As soon as Chase is close enough, Blade fires a single round between Chase's eyes killing him instantly. Dowling, who knows Chase's entire playbook, had given Blade the device that essentially de-activates Chase's power. Chase doesn't se it coming. ANd is eliminated within seconds. In fact this is how one of Dowling's henchmen had him killed in Planetary.

Easy winner: Blade

ROSE TATTOO v. CORONARY

Come let us reason together. At least that's what Rose Tattoo says to coronary as he begins his assault. As the spirit of murder not only does can she kill anything, shes quite capable of driving people insane with words. And Coronary, has no idea what to think. X is right she does have all kinds of specialized high tech weapons of her creation, and its a good thing Nate Grey was able to tell her exactly what would be needed to kill him.

Winner: Rose Tattoo.

DOWLING v. DEVIL SLAYER

Here Dowling begins to play mind games with Devil Slayer, peeking into his mind rather than engage in a bloody battle. Here, Devil Slayer time is split between blocking Dowling mental attack's and trying to go after Dowling's real body. Deciding to cut to the chase he pulls his ebony blade from his cloak and goes after him.

What Slayer doesn't realize, is Dowling's been stalling. Blade and Rose Tattoo emerge after easy victories, and they combine forces. Luckily, Slayer has his ebony blade...or is it luck, he thinks after Blade wrestles it from him. He had been shocked by the emergence of the two new Brawlers he'll have to contend with. That second is all Dowling needs as Blade wrestles the ebony blade from him. But did he wrestle it fom him? It felt like Slayer just let Blade have it. He's not sure. You're not sure. But it desn't really matter. They use the Ebony Blade to kill Devil Slayer, and Rose Tattoo, the woman who can kill anything, especially when given the ight weapon laughs as she picks up Devil-Slayers cloak.

Round I winners: All of Boom's regs. Round II to follow.

X, you should know this.

i know right? I need to at least finihs my write up. he's just attacking my prep time.

I can't rebuke points from the opposing side once they're made?
Them's the rules.

Nevermind that I haven't done this in a year and a half. Ease up.
I won't mind.

i know right? I need to at least finihs my write up. he's just attacking my prep time.
And you shouldn't have said anything about X's write-up either.

Now I don't want to play mod or anything, but anything else on this should go in discussion.

Nah. I'll just hold off until we can legally debate then.

I'm guilty, I want to get this underway. :wow:

Round II

SPARTAN v. COSMIC DOOM

the battle is titanic just as X posted, each an experienced fighter and strategist, each with "power cosmic" like abilities and with the ability to manipulate energy. The standard assaults are both brutal and negligble. Spartan is able to teleport himself out of the way of Doom's blasts. but between these two epic itans, neither is willing to give even an inch.

Its all for naught after the flare goes up. Spartan uses his teleportation powers to bring a friend over...Rose Tattoo who now has Devil Slayers cape). She pulls out one of Reed Richards techno-machines designed specifically to drain the power cosmic from Doom. Once that's done, Spatan makes easy work of the villian.

...or in the alternative, as the battle wages Doom doesn't realize that Spartan has been slowly draining the power cosmic from Doom during the fight, after Dowling altered Spartan's body during prep time to be equiped to siphon away Doom's power cosmic. Either alternative leads to the same result, Spartan's cybenetic body feels no pain, and is vastly superior to Doom's armor. Spartan wins.

Last round coming up.

NATE GREY v. MAGUS

A HORDE OF SPARTAN ANDROIDS v. the MAGUS! At least that's what Magus thinks. Nate Grey is off in the distance, creating holograms of light with his teke powers. Theyre not telapthic images, they are true visual holograms created by Grey's telekinetic control of light particles. Do they have substance? Not really, except for the fact that when each of them attack Magus, Nate Grey exerts a pinpot TK burst where the hologram makes contact with the Magus there so it sure feels like he does. This initial assaul catches the magus off guard, but after a few moments quickly recognizes the ruse, i mean, the guy has conquered universes right? A fictional army is nothing new so he begins to search out his real assailant, and since Grey can't cloak himself telepathically, Magus ultimately does and decides that X-Man is not someone to toy around with going for use of the soul gem immediately. except Grey is gone.

using his ability to shift through dimensions, Nate Grey steps out. And Spartan fresh off his victory against Doom, steps in (he either brings Rose Tattoo with him, or she comes on her own accord depending on the scenario from the previous round). Now we have an android attacking the magus and this battle would be even more collossal then the one before, but we also have Rose Tattoo wielding the ultimate nullifier having drawn it from Devil Slayers cloak). No matter what happens its all of Booms Brawlers against the Magus and he goes down.

(and i didnt even have to cheat by having Nate Grey take him to aleternate dimension and leave him there)

all right all done. not too bad for my first entry ever if i do say so myself.

Not bad at all. Kudos.

Looking forward to discussing it too.

Wieg's actually just said that team owners can begin debating whenever they want, but just the team owners.

So up yours, Harlekin. ;)

Kaboom?

which is when? when wieg gives the go ahead right?

Ambrose Chase can deflect bullets casually. Blade isn't shooting him anywhere. - http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v39/bmovie_buff/Ambrose/?action=view&current=Planetary9pg08.jpg

Nor has Dowling ever shown the technology to turn off any superhumans powers, especially Chase's.

Ambrose Chase is going to know what Rose is capable of. Considering my teams tactical ability, do you really think any member of my team is going to stand in front of Rose like this?

Your operating under the assumption that my team seemingly knows nothing about yours, and that we're going stumble into these pitfalls, where we actually have information on every member of your team, Dowling included (From Ambrose)

Dowling isn't going to picking Devil Slayer's brain casually considering Devil Slayer is a low level telepath himself.
