The rules:
This is one of four threads containing matches.
The threads will be in use for 9 days. Days 1-4 (Dec 6-9) are strictly setup time for owners to plead their cases, tell us their team’s strategies, breakdown the match ups, and do whatever else they can/want to do to try and convince you that their team would pull out a victory. Please, let the owners do this on their own with no help from you, the fan. Owners can debate only when their opponenet has finished posting their writeup.

On Day 5 (Dec 10) I will post and tell everyone that voting may begin. Only after doing so will voting start. Any votes cast before I open voting will not count.

Look over the matchups and read the owners strategies and take into consideration how in-character each character is. Afterwards, use your best judgment to decide who you think has the best chance to win the match up. (Note: The length of a writeup is up to the owner. Do not punish owners just for having a shorter writeup.)

To vote, post the team names you think will prevail in each match. Remember, to vote for each match up or your vote will not count! The teams with the highest vote total at the end of the 7th day (Dec 12) will get a W while the other will get an L. (Equal votes will result in a tie.)

Baron Helmut Zemo (with Moonstones)(MU)- The Moonstones grant Zemo his own version of Cosmic Awareness and powers, including the ability to open warps through time and space, in addition to his own natural skills and prodigious leadership ability.
Ares (DU) (Bio link seems fairly suspect) - The Olympian god of battle, conflict, and death, Ares grows in stature by the presence of all three. A top schemer, he possess superhuman stats, and is capable of producing various mystical and divine effects, including interdimensional teleportation, and naturally afflicting god-wounds, which prove difficult to heal. Prep Time

-2400 hours, Titans Tower

The air shimmers and the five members of the Authorititans selected for this match materialize in Titans Tower. A symbol to billions across the globe of heroism, the Tower is known to all but Ariella Kent. Then again, she's a child, so she probably wouldn't quite grasp the meaning of this place the way the others do. But none of them have been inside before, and it is an awe-inspiring moment for all, from the absurd Agent ! to the hyperanalytical intellectual Anarky.

The moment lasts only a moment. “Aztek. Infinity-Man. Nice to see a couple of you back from last week. Let's get down to work, people.”

-2315 hours, Titans Tower

“Well, there's 45 minutes and a bank of computers we'll never have back,” sighs Anarky. After close to an hour of pleading with Ariella Kent, the Supergirl of the 853rd century, the girl has finally agreed to cooperate with Anarky and the rest of the team, since they've promised to play with her afterwards.

“Are we all on the same page now? Good.” Slaving the Titans Tower computer systems to his onboard computer, Anarky lays out his plans.

“Alright, kiddo,” he says to Ariella, trying his best to seem kind and friendly. “Here's the guy you're going to go after. He's dangerous. A very bad man. He kills people! Just for fun! That's what kind of a bad man he is, Ariella.”

Ariella frowns disapprovingly at the image and nods with that cute but grim solemnity that only a child can produce.

“Attagirl. Just give him hell like I know you can.”

“Infinity-Man, you took it on the chin pretty hard last time around, but you did what you had to do. I'm counting on you to do the same here with this Captain Marvel. He's not the one from this planet—some other multiverse. Much more powerful than ours, too, from the looks of him, although I'd hate to be caught between the two. Point being, this isn't going to be a walk in the park for you either. This could go all the way down to the wire like your fight with the Silver Surfer did. Be prepared, and look for any opening to use those beams of yours.”

“A word to the wise for both of you: I wouldn't be surprised if these two big guns stuck together to try and maximize their capabilities. You could end up with a bit more of a mixed-up fight then you were bargaining for. Regardless, I want the two of you sticking together. If you get lucky enough to run into any of them solo, so much the better, but it's better for both of you to find both of them, if they stay together.”

“We'll be watching for where they are here in the control room. Infinity-Man, the moment the match starts, and you see on the schematic where those two big hitters are located, hit your man as fast as you can. Ariella, follow his lead and hit yours.”

“Aztek, this Mount Joy character should be a walk in the park. You're aerial, he's not. Find him on the schematic, zip over there superfast, toss him in a plasma net and be done with him. For some reason, I get the feeling that there is NOTHING I would like better than taking that piece of crap out in a matter of seconds. Then you can help me take care of this Northstar character if I need it, or maybe help Agent...Agent...how the hell do you even say that?”

“You say it like you spell it. Just sound it out,” replies Agent !.

“Agent...Agen...dude, that doesn't...you can't just...”

“Just call me Malcolm.”

“Malcolm. Right. Well, Malcolm, you've got a date with this Multiple Man. Based on what we know of him, we can probably count on him to make a few duplicates of himself and spread out to do recon. Sooner or later, he'll run into you, Malcolm. But he won't notice you, so you can just do whatever you want to him. We'll take a look around here for some sort of ordnance that you and I can carry into battle. Basically, Malcolm, your job is to find all the multiples of Multiple Man and take them out. Should be relatively simple. All the guy can do is duplicate.”

“And Northstar's mine. Walk in the park. Let's do this, Authorititans.”

Meanwhile, down in one of the sub-basements, In Jesus' Name makes similar preparations. Thanos and Captain Marvel will use their cosmic awareness to locate their opponents and take them on together. Mount Joy will take out Anarky and Agent ! in short order, leaving him, Northstar, and Multiple Man to deal with Aztek.

-0002 hours, Titans Tower

In the monitoring station, the five members of the Authorititans squad stare at the screen as the seconds tick away. Infinity-Man, who's always had a way with kids since his first meeting with the Forever People, encourages his young sidekick and builds her confidence. Aztek communes with the higher powers that have given him his power. Anarky checks through his arsenal, some of it self-gadgeteered, a few items harvested from equipment lockers in the Tower. Agent !, armed to the teeth with pillaged Bat-weapons from Robin's cave below the Tower, scrawls sentences without vowels on the wall. Each team member is equipped with comms tech from the equipment lockers and psi-protection tech rigged up by Anarky during prep time.

“Watch that screen, folks. It's about time.”

The match begins.

Battle Time

The match begins, and the three superfast team members disappear. The sound of the Tower's structural integrity groaning and giving way float up almost instantly. Down in the sub-basement, the movements of Ariella Kent, Infinity-Man, Thanos, and Genis-Vell are as lightning, imperceptible to the normal viewer as the fight quickly moves to Tim Drake's Batcave. Back in the sub-basement, the first victory is claimed by the Authorititans...

Aztek vs. Mount Joy
The chosen champion of Quetzalcoatl roars down to the sub-basement, where Mount Joy has barely moved a muscle compared to the superspeed onslaught of Aztek. Even though Mount Joy will never see him coming, Aztek carefully maintains a healthy 30-foot distance. He then promptly hurls a plasma-beam net around Mount Joy and blasts the mutant over and over again with plasma beams, knocking the inert bundle through the wall and farther and farther into the Earth. He then seals up the hole in the sub-basement wall, and has won his duel.

Agent ! vs. Multiple Man, part 1
Jamie Madrox (one of them, at any rate) feels only a pinprick, and barely has time to wonder where the hell it came from before dropping to the floor, temporarily paralyzed and unconscious. Agent ! discards the used syringe that Anarky gave him and pulls out another one, hunting for another multiple.

Anarky vs. Northstar
Northstar is fast. Not as fast as Aztek, but he is very fast. And while Aztek takes care of Mount Joy and the four big guns clash in the Batcave, Northstar speeds his way upwards to locate Anarky or Agent !. Who he comes across is Anarky, naturally, since Agent ! comes as no surprise. However, Anarky is ready. As Northstar approaches, Anarky pulls out his boom tube generator and fires it, keyed to the other side of the world. The sound and fury of the boom tube slam Northstar into a wall, but he doesn't fall into the tube.

Anarky is unconcerned—he hadn't expected Northstar to fall for that, but while his opponent is disoriented, he flips another switch on the boom tube generator and hurls it at his stunned enemy. This isn't Apokoliptian tech, just a jury-rigged version made by Anarky, but the explosion of the device is enough to seriously damage Northstar. Northstar struggles to rise, but Anarky flings a fist full of flash-bang grenades at him and the agent of HYDRA drops to the ground again, clutching at his eyes and ears. Anarky sends numerous boomerangs rigged with heavy electroshock pulses against his opponent, and brings the defense systems of the tower to bear on him as well. Northstar writhes in agony before collapsing, unconscious.

Aztek arrives on the scene, wraps Northstar up in a plasma beam net, and takes him down to the sub-basement to dig a hole and seal him up inside it.

Agent ! vs. Multiple Man, part 2
Agent ! steps over the inert form of a second Madrox duplicate. So far, that's two he's taken down. He doesn't know how many more there are, and he really couldn't care less. He stops to admire a statue in the memorial hall. A few yards to his right, Infinity-Man crashes through both walls, with Thanos in hot pursuit. Moments later, Ariella Kent and Genis-Vell, trading blows and blasts, surge through the same breach. Agent ! doesn't notice.

Eventually, he continues walking, calmly looking for another duplicate of Multiple Man. He has, after all, all the time in the world.

Infinity-Man and Ariella Kent vs. Thanos and Genis-Vell
It's a massive clash of titans that rages throughout the tower and throughout the underground caverns that lace the earth beneath it. But for Infinity-Man, it's only a matter of time until he can deal with his opponent. Thanos may be the champion of death in his universe, but here at home, Infinity-Man fears only the coming of the Black Racer. This Thanos is giving him a workout, but nothing more. He waits only for the opportunity to use his infinity-beams to drain the titan of his energy and leave him a motionless carcass.

Meanwhile, Ariella Kent isn't having much fun playing with Genis-Vell. His energy manipulation powers are dangerous and deadly, and as much as she teleports around him, darting into get in a few superspeed sucker-punches and heat-vision blasts, he still comes after her. She has a couple of ouchies. She knows he has more. But she also suspects he can handle more. She's no fool, this girl.

Still, Genis-Vell eventually gets another shot at her and sends her flying. Thinking quickly, Ariella teleports up to the top floor. Momentarily confused, Genis-Vell charges into the shadows where he last saw her go. It's all the time she needs as she ports back down to the Batcave and mercilessly beats Thanos and blasts him with heat vision for all of two seconds—an eternity at Kryptonian superspeed. And that's the opening Infinity-Man has been waiting for. Now with a chance to fully power up the infinity-beams, he lets them loose, and they lance outward into Thanos. With not even a gasp, the titan collapses, lifeless, devoid of energy.

Together, Infinity-Man and Ariella charge Genis-Vell. He is a powerful opponent, but he cannot overcome an enhanced Kryptonian and the brother of Darkseid imbued with the energy of Infinity. It is only a matter of moments before Captain Marvel falls to their combined might.

Agent ! vs. Multiple Man, part 3
Malcolm tosses out the third used syringe, and leaves behind a third multiple. He doesn't hear the sounds of fighting anywhere anymore, and sure enough, the voice of Anarky crackles over his headset: “That's four down. Malcolm, how are you doing with Multiple Man?”

“No,” replies Agent !.

“Dammit...crazy old...Aztek, round up any multiples that are left and dispose of them.”

"Consider it done.”

The battle is over. Jamie Madrox and all his multiples are either knocked out or confined in plasma nets. Northstar is out cold. Mount Joy is raging, alone, buried deep in a sealed tunnel under the tower. Thanos' body is devoid of all energy, motionless. And Captain Marvel is beaten almost beyond aid by the Supergirl of the future and Drax, brother of Darkseid, wielder of the power of Infinity.

Hopefully the shorter writeup still conveys my points and doesn't sacrifice content while also maintaining voter interest.

Again, the basic plan is numbers for "In Jesus' Name". So, being the smartest thing to do, Thanos again has MJ aborb one of MM's dupes, "jump" into NS, dupe, spit out a NS and finish assimulating the two(the two being absorbed not struggling because Thanos' ungodly telepathic control).
Problem is, that's just not going to work. Aztek is one of the fastest meds in the League, and Mount Joy's just a guy. While the ubers battle each other, Aztek will take care of Mount Joy before the others can even blink, forcing the regs to take the fight elsewhere for fear of being taken down with similar prejudice.

NorthStar bulleting at Aztek, misses do to Azteks being intangible. Anarky is taken out right away by dupes of MJ, as MJ absorbs Agent !, while Multiple Man stays grounded with nothing to do...
IF the fight were to break down like this (which it wouldn't), Aztek wouldn't go intangible, he'd just take Northstar down hard. He's substantially better than Northstar, superior speed, superior powers, superior strength, superior durability. Mount Joy might get Anarky, but he can't get Agent ! because he doesn't know where Agent ! is. So Agent ! will just take Mount Joy right down, slow reflexes or not. That leaves Jamie Madrox. Yeah, not a problem for Aztek.

Nope. See the final bits of my prep-time post. We were ready for that.

Location: Titans Tower

Again, the basic plan is numbers for "In Jesus' Name". So, being the smartest thing to do, Thanos again has MJ aborb one of MM's dupes, "jump" into NS, dupe, spit out a NS and finish assimulating the two(the two being absorbed not struggling because Thanos' ungodly telepathic control).

Anarky, try as he might, can't get any information on the opponent off of Titans' computers.

Thanos(leading this team) aquires the information necessary from Captain Marvels Mastered Cosmic Awareness. (Thanos)Ordering MJ to dupe 10x and swarm like bees(with increased durability and super speed), punching countless holes into the base of Titans Tower. Making the Tower fall into the River like a giant tree.

Infinity-Man(the leader of this team) grabs Anarky and Agent ! to escape the falling building(Aztek and Ariella fly to safety by thier own ability).

Knowing where their going to come out, Captain Marvel instintaneously fires two azamingly bright blasts of photonic energy, blinding The Authorititans. Captain Marvel then doing as his uncle(Thanos) asks, grabs Thanos and flings him at Ariella. Captain Marvel then rams into Infinity-Man, breaking down the battle as such:

Mount Joy, Multiple man and NorthStar vs Aztek, Anarky and Agent !
NorthStar bulleting at Aztek, misses do to Azteks being intangible. Anarky is taken out right away by dupes of MJ, as MJ absorbs Agent !, while Multiple Man stays grounded with nothing to do...

Thanos vs Ariella
Before Ariella can recover from the blinding light, Thanos is upon her, flying into her, wrapping his huge hands around her child sized throat, pounding her face. Fighting back, Ariella bends Thanos' hand back, biting his wrist freeing her to fly away in terror(Searching frantically for Infinity-Man).

Captain Marvel vs Infinity-Man
Seemingly unaffected by the bright blast, Infinity-Man sheds Captain Marvel, showwing his fighting skill. Using leverage(Attacking without moving), Infinity-Man affects the magnetic spectrem around Captain Marvel to no avail. Captain Marvel never tried to ram Infinity-Man, but rather thee illusion and a concusive blast to open up an easy shot. Creating a super concentrated photonic beam, zapping Infinite-Mans neck from side to side, dropping Infinite-Man to the ground.

Mount Joy and NorthStar vs Aztek
Aztek in mid flight, plans his next move as some how, out of nowhere, Multiple Mount Joys gang up on him, slowwing his reflexs. This time unable to phase fast enough to stand a chance against them, Aztek is killed.

Thanos and Captain Marvel vs Ariella and Infinity-Man
Arriving on the scene as Captain Marvel ferociously blasts Infinity-Man to the bottom of the river. Ariella turns from scared to protectively mad, Putting all she had into a super speed punch angled down on Captian Marvel. Sending him into the river bed as well. Infinity-Man following up on her attack under-water, chases Captain Marvel out of the water as he vanishes... Teleporting directly to Thanos.

Hands to wrists, Captain Marvel rapidly flies Thanos back to battle... Before arriving, Thanos uses his Superior Telepathy to take over Ariellas mind, attacking Infinity-Man. Continually dodging her attacks and pleading for Ariella to come to her senses, Ariella duplicates, continuing her attack...

Long story short, Thanos releases his power of Ariella after thier both exhausted... Thanos and Captain Marvel easily defeat them.

Problem is, that's just not going to work. Aztek is one of the fastest meds in the League, and Mount Joy's just a guy. While the ubers battle each other, Aztek will take care of Mount Joy before the others can even blink, forcing the regs to take the fight elsewhere for fear of being taken down with similar prejudice.

you TOTALLY lost your way, man... Mount Joy absorbed NS who is superfast on top of absorbing one of Multiple Mans dupes... so its not one guy.. its an ARMY of NS's

The computer genius who built a global hacker empire and created a boom tube projector from scratch can't get into the Titans Tower computers?

Dude... my characters are MARVEL. Not DC... Meaning your DC guys don't know them and No DC computer is either

Yeah, not a problem for Aztek.

they were blinded as they flew out of the tower. walking into a battle ground, being blinded and not going intangible would be DUMB... you don't have 1 mount joy or 1 ns... you have an ARMY of Mount Joys to take out that have NorthStars Power an army of MMs and 1 NS

Nope. See the final bits of my prep-time post. We were ready for that.

yup. did you forget that Captain marvel is also a master energy manipulater and woulda just short curcuited the protectors... and it doesn't change ariellas weakness to magic, which would SIMPLY tear her apart and leave IM to my ubers

Since that was apparently the only way you could win the fight, you lose. My two ubers simply overpower yours.
I have Cosmic Beings on my team. you have superman and a new god(which is Superman with more powers and no weaknesses)... your chick has no chance of survival. NONE. and by himself, IM doesn't either.

Essentially, I go ahead and refute your arguments, and all you can come up with is "uhhhh...no."

Anarky vs. Northstar
Anarky is unconcerned—he hadn't expected Northstar to fall for that, but while his opponent is disoriented, he flips another switch on the boom tube generator and hurls it at his stunned enemy

he wouldn't have time enough to turn. NS is already beating his head into the wall. killing Anarky

Infinity-Man and Ariella Kent vs. Thanos and Genis-Vell
He waits only for the opportunity to use his infinity-beams to drain the titan of his energy and leave him a motionless carcass.

can his beams absorb magic?

As much as Ariella teleports around him, darting into get in a few superspeed sucker-punches and heat-vision blasts, he still comes after her. She has a couple of ouchies. She knows he has more. But she also suspects he can handle more. She's no fool, this girl.

Cosmic Awareness brother... she'll only be able to get a teleport and hit off only so many times... not counting that her eye beams will bounce of his shields and she would have to punch those those same shields before her super speed punches could touch him.

Still, Genis-Vell eventually gets another shot at her and sends her flying. Thinking quickly, Ariella teleports up to the top floor. Momentarily confused, Genis-Vell charges into the shadows where he last saw her go.
more like: sense where shes teleported to and teleports there himself

more like: sense where shes teleported to and teleports there himself
The way you're writing him, he'd be able to sense anything before it happened, and would therefore be unbeatable. I'm not going to accept that you have a character that is unbeatable. NO. You don't get to play that way. That's not how this game works.

Infinite wisdom combined with infinite power is unacceptable, so I am writing your character as an uber, rather than the tuber you're trying to play. And an uber is beatable. And my ubers are beating your ubers.

A quick rundown and summary of the fight:
Aztek vs. Mount Joy: Mount Joy gets wrapped up with a plasma net and blasted underground and buried there.
Anarky vs. Northstar: Using a boom-tube bomb, tons of Titans tech and tech he himself rigged up or had on him, Anarky brings Northstar to unconsciousness, after which Aztek buries him underground.
Agent ! vs. Multiple Man: Agent ! just keeps sneaking up on multiples and putting them out of commission with stolen Robin tech. The multiples really can't do that much in the fight, and neither can Agent !.
Ariella Kent and Infinity-Man vs. Thanos and Genis-Vell: Tough fight, with Infinity-Man doing better against Thanos but Ariella not doing so well against Genis. Momentarily distracting Genis by porting out, Ariella ports back in, whales on Thanos long enough to distract him, and I-M hits him with the Infinity-beams, sapping Thanos off all energy and leaving him motionless and done for. The two of them against Genis-Vell, plus Aztek joining in, leaves Genis with no chance.

get out of the DC universe and pick up a cosmic being
Do I HAVE to point out the obvious here and remind you that your characters are only Cosmically Aware when they're in their OWN COSMOS? You're out of the Marvel U. here. Just as there's no Speed Force in the DCU, your characters aren't godly or demi-godly or cosmically aware here. They're just big, tough, scary ubers.

And even in the Marvel U., "cosmic being" is not a free ticket to win every fight. Or didn't you see where Drax just one-punched Thanos to DEATH?

Furthermore, I'll remind you that the only scan you've provided with regards to Genis-Vell's cosmic awareness implies that he is PARALYZED by his awareness, not moved to action. That he CAN'T DO ANYTHING.

your so simple

i've easily disputed your every debate... including your last comment, i'm done...

theres two short write0-ups here that MIGHT take 20minutes to go through. 3or 4 debate/rebuttals with take another 5minutes to read... that is all

Yes, I'm simple. I'm the one completely dismantling your argument about "cosmic beings" somehow being your one-shot ticket to a victory in every match.

Even with no writeup, B'wana Bet gets my vote on the strength of a much more impressive lineup, especially at the uber end of things. The other team basically just has two regenerating bricks . . . and would their healing even work against the "god wounds" mentioned in Ares description? Beats me.

Now on to the other match . . .

Two things that confuse the hell out of me:
(1) The fact that Aristotle somehow replied to AS's writeup before AS wrote it (at least the reply appeared above it)
(2) The fact that AS's comments on Aristotle's posts are inside the quote of Aristotle. I almost missed half of AS's argument. Is it that hard to add "
comments here
" so as to break up the quote?

Now that I've got that off my chest . . .

Info-gathering
Ari, regarding the computers you're misunderstanding what AS is saying (admittedly, that's pretty easy to do sometimes). He's not saying your guys couldn't get into the computers. He's saying, even if they do get into the computers, they aren't going to find any info on his all Marvel team, because you're in a DC location. Whereas his guys could find info on your guys during preptime -- at least someone like Aztek who'd be known to the Titans. I understood, because I made a similar point in my writeup this week (I also fielded an all-Marvel team against an all-DC team.) That said, since AS didn't bother to include descriptions of his team's powers, I think you would probably be justified in assuming your team would know whatever you want them to know.

Uber Battles
AS using Thanos's telepathy seems like a good idea to me. Aristotle had the foresight to have Anarky make psi-blockers. But does Anarky know how to make psi-blockers? If he's used them in the comics, that's cool, otherwise you can't just assume someone can whip up tech to cancel an uber-level power. Anyway, AS makes the decent point that Genis could probably short out the psi-blockers once they realized they were there.

As for the whole Cosmic Awareness thing... As Ari said, AS may be overwriting it a bit -- he writes it like Genis has pre-cognition, and if that's true, then how come Dr. Manhattan was banned for having Genis-like powers with precognition? But Aristotle's argument that Marvel character's Cosmic Awareness wouldn't work in the DCU doesn't hold -- at least, that's not the way we do things in the DTL. The official rule is that for the purpose of the match the Speed Force is extended to Marvel battlegrounds, the Power Cosmic is extended to DC battlegrounds, etc. So everyone's powers still work normally. (Remember our match when I had Zoom take Flash through one of Magik's portals to get him away from the Speed Force? My logic was that the Speed Force was extended to the Marvel battleground, but not to random extra-dimensional Marvel realms like Magik's limbo.)

Even without telepathy or cosmic awareness (i.e., even if I gave both those arguments to Ari), I don't buy that his ubers could "simply overpower" AS's (Ari's words). Genis and Thanos are two of the top guys in this thing in terms of raw power. I don't know Ari's ubers as well, but at best they might be evenly matched with AS's -- if they're drastically stronger then a powerhouse pairing like AS has, they'd be tuber.

Anyway, I think the uber battles could potentially go either way, so let's move on to:

Reg Battles
I feel like Aristotle didn't give AS's regs enough credit. In particular, why did he have them all fight individually, rather than having Mountjoy absorb the others and take their powers? Even if AS didn't do this every week (which he does), it's the obvious strategy. Aristotle's writeup illustrates that AS's team would be at a disadvantage with them all fighting individually -- is a leader like Thanos dumb enough to let them go into the fight with this big a disadvantage? Of course not. So really I see this as being an army of Mountjoy duplicates with Northstar speed, like AS presents it. (Some might argue that pushes Mountjoy to uber, but I doubt it -- how is that any better than an army of Atom's, which is what Atom 1 Million is? And he's a med.) And in that case, Ari's main strategy, exploiting his team's speed advantage, is mostly neutralized.

Ari might be saying Aztek takes down Mountjoy before Mountjoy absorbs his teammates. But since he can absorb them during prep-time, that doesn't make sense.

So I suppose I'll give my vote to In Jesus' Name. And on that note, Happy Hanukkah. ;)

Anarky has replicated Apokoliptian technology from scratch. I think we can confidently assume that he could make powerful psi-blockers. Has Genis been shown to be able to do something similar to that in the comics? WHILE under the extreme duress of fighting a massively power foe?

But Aristotle's argument that Marvel character's Cosmic Awareness wouldn't work in the DCU doesn't hold -- at least, that's not the way we do things in the DTL. The official rule is that for the purpose of the match the Speed Force is extended to Marvel battlegrounds, the Power Cosmic is extended to DC battlegrounds, etc. So everyone's powers still work normally.
That wasn't really the thrust of my argument. It was an afterthought that apparently looked like I was emphasizing it. My main point was that Cosmic Awareness just can't work in the DTL, the way he's writing it.

"simply overpower" is focusing on two words from an entire section of the writeup. I had Ariella port out, port back in, distract one uber long enough for him to get Infinity-beamed, and then had the TWO of them "simply overpower" his remaining uber. Basically, both ubers went down because both of them got double-teamed.

I feel like Aristotle didn't give AS's regs enough credit. In particular, why did he have them all fight individually, rather than having Mountjoy absorb the others and take their powers?
Because I took Mountjoy out superfast with Aztek the instant the fight started.

Ari might be saying Aztek takes down Mountjoy before Mountjoy absorbs his teammates. But since he can absorb them during prep-time, that doesn't make sense.
That is exactly what I'm saying, but Mountjoy shouldn't be able to do that. That should not be legal. That is a combat action. Secondly, AS didn't specify that he was doing it in prep-time, so you're doing his writeup for him! Third, I responded to that scenario, and my characters still take it. Fourth and finally, I maintain that my ubers take the uber fight, which allows them to come back around and finish off whatever regs AS has left.
