To be honest, I don't really care. Dumb & Dumber is my least favourite Jim Carrey movie. Don't get me wrong, I love both Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. But this movie just had me burying my face in the palm of my hand and groaning the whole way through.

Now Ace Ventura 3? Now THAT'S something I could get behind.

I think most would disagree with you there.

For example, ME! I love how the movie offers gross-out, stupid and slapstick humor, yet it's kinda (secretly) heartfelt. You can't help but like those two adorable idiots, and care about them. That movie was really about two hopeless idiots trying to make something better out of their lives, but of course failing hialriously. I hope they won't forget the heart in the sequel in favor of shock humor.

Yep, script is already done. Jim Carrey and Jeff Bridges were on board, aswell. The only thing that kept them from doing it until now was Warner Bros.

I see they're sticking to the "dumb" part of the title by intentionally mis-using "To" instead of "Two" or even "Too." At least they have Jeff and Jim back to reprise their roles.

Why was Warner Brothers keeping them from doing the movie? Not that I'm surprised, mind you, they always seem to sit on the properties that they own rather than use them to try and turn a profit.

Warner isn't the only one to do it. Most of the studios will sit on a good property because of internal political bickering and posturing. It's also why we sometimes get truly terrible sequels to otherwise excellent movies. One executive wants to make another look bad or get revenge on them for making them look bad so they sabotage the movie their rival was in charge of.

You would think being under the same roof in the same studio would make a difference but it doesn't.

You gotta admit though, Eric Christian Olsen and the other dude whose name escapes me, were pretty ****ing perfect. Especially ECO, he just nailed Carrey's physical sense and facial expressions. But yea other than that, bleh

In the first major new character casting in the upcoming sequel, Kathleen Turner has come on to Universal and Red Granite Pictures’ “Dumb and Dumber To.”

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are set to reprise their roles from the 1994 comedy, with Bobby and Peter Farrelly returning to direct the pic.

Plot details have not been revealed, nor have the details of who Turner will be playing.

Red Granite will produce, finance and distribute Dumb and Dumber To. Universal has acquired the film’s domestic distribution rights.
