I'm just hoping they don't turn the Orcs into standard baddies. I want there to be some actual moral ambiguity to the conflict like in the games.

I hope they make this an actual film, not a "set-up"

Exactly, I feel the moral ambiguity is the strongest thing this game has going for it. You really do have all these races, wanting different things for the world, and that's really one of its strongest themes.

Orcs are just looking for somewhere to live.
Humans are trying to develop there sciences/magic and evolve further.
Nightelves are looking to keep balance to the realm.
And the undead are looking for freedom.

They did mention that the film would explore both perspective, which is a step in the right direction to me.

That's one thing that worries about basing it on the earlier games. The Horde are really kind of generic villains until Thrall became Warchief.

True,..but they were possessed by demon blood. That's what makes it interesting, cause you can tie alot more of that into it..I really do wonder where they go with it, I'm hoping for a slow build up..could make a legacy out of these if they do it right.

Can't believe no one has this footage ripped!! Everyone is going around posting tht Batman v Superman but no one has one of the biggest video game ever to film footage! Insane!

Argh so annoying I've scoured the net and now I give up! Age of Ultron and Antman have audio up just want to see Warcraft! :(

Well, so clearly I'm late to the party and only just learned they were making a WarCraft movie. Not sure if I ever played the original game, but I have played II+expansion. and most certainly III+exp. Never got into WoW though (never really had a desire too either)

I admit a live action movie has me somewhat tentative (nightmares of the Dungeons & Dragons film keeps popping into my head), but if they can bring the type of quality & atmosphere to live action that Blizzard has in those cinematics, I'm at least willing to give it a shot. I see it being mentioned that it seems they're starting at the beginning with this, I wonder - if it's successful - if they'll continue with the story-line as it is in the games (will we see an eventual appearance by the Night Elves and the Naga?). I also wonder if it might lead them to maybe adapting the other Blizzard titles like StarCraft & Diablo into films.

Anywho... mainly post as a way to subscribe. It will be interesting to follow this, and now I'm thinking I want to pop WCIII in at some point this weekend and give it (yet another) play.

I need to crank up the game of WCIII I started last winter. RTS is painfully hard for me though. Totally not my genre.

Good news. Ramin's score for Dracula Untold was enjoyable. And I love his work on GOT.

Bodes well, the Game of Thrones theme is just about the best thing I've ever heard.
