I remember Warhammer. Warhammer 40,000 could make such an epic movie. Epic sci-fi and fantasy should be merged together more often.

Ugh... all of the vids have been taken down. Not sure what's up; the vids were the real deal and not fan-made stuff. Oh well. :csad:

I just noticed, Warhammer, not Warcraft......Excuse me while i boil my head. :(

Yeah they're different IP's. Warcraft did originally start as a Warhammer 40k game though:

How Warcraft Was Almost a Warhammer Game (and how That Saved WoW)

So you were on the right track anyway. No head-boiling necessary!

I think you guys are still confusing Warhammer with Warhammer 40K.

Those are are two different universe altogether ( albeit by the same company).

I'm not confusing anything. Blizzard has Warcraft (fantasy) and Starcraft (scifi); Games Workshop has Warhammer (fantasy) and Warhammer 40k (scifi)

edit: I see. Warcraft started as a Warhammer game, not 40k was what I meant to say.

Comics are also coming in 2016, this one announced is about Medivh, Llane and Lothar.

Setting the stage for the new film Warcraft, Legendary Comics announced the official graphic novel prequel Warcraft: Bonds of Brotherhood today at the Blizzard panel.
Based on the video game franchise, this is an original story conceived by Blizzard’s Chris Metzen, written by Paul Cornell (Doctor Who) and featuring art from Mat Broome (Batman: No Man’s Land, WildC.A.T.S., Witchblade).
Warcraft: Bonds of Brotherhood will be released in May 2016, weeks before the movie hits theaters on June 10th.

Can anyone tell me what Warcraft is about? I honestly have no idea apart that it is a computer game.

^ Same here. Is there a trailer expected for this at SDCC? Surely.

You can download it from Legendary Pictures virtual reality app that is on the iTunes store and the Google app store. It's an official release so it isn't illegal to download it.

Built for Google's cheap VR headset for mobile phones, Cardboard, the trailer lets you look up, down, and around from the back of a gryphon, a creature used for transport in Warcraft games. Even if you don't own Cardboard, though, you can still watch the trailer. It utilizes a phone's accelerometer to let you change the view by moving the phone through space.

It's a short trailer, around a minute long, and comes in at around 400 MB. But it's really cool to be able to soar above Stormwind City and look down at people going about their lives, or gaze out at the mountains in the distance.

The trailer is available through studio Legendary Pictures' mobile app on iOS and Android devices. The studio also put out VR trailers for its upcoming movie Crimson Peak, and for 2013's Pacific Rim.

You have the world of Azeroth, which has the Kingdom of Stormwind. The Orcs are like Klingons, warriors with a code of honor and they actually come from another planet, but you see the Orcs we're enslaved and tricked by evil demons, but some Orcs realize this evil scourge inside them and so there's a small inner power struggle happening.

So Warcraft 1 is about Orcs invading from another planet, these Orcs are infused with demonic powers and likely there will be Orcs who want to stop this demonic control, because they don't want to be slaves.

Trailer should give a clear idea about the story.

Warcraft is about so many things, that's what makes it so great. Every race has a deep history of lore and events, and the world it takes place in is fascinating.

The movie will be based mainly on the story from the first Warcraft game, and focus on the first encounter between humans and orcs.

you know...this could actually be a good movie. A good movie based on a game. Which would be amazing. Maybe this will be the next Lord of the Rings epic.

As I've said a few times before, I want this movie to be huge because:
1. We need more epic fantasy films and
2. Blizzard also made the Diablo series, and I REALLY want to see a movie based on that.
