Yeah the Comic Con trailer is truly intended for people who waited in line for this, pre-established Warcraft fans who know exactly who the characrters are and what's happening.

I'm happy how faithful the game seems to be.

Was able to find a video for it that hasn't been taken down yet. That moron talking at the beginning can just shut it. This film is looking good.

The guy compares it to Avatar, but if the cgi looks like Avatar's, then they must be doing something right.

Too bad the second half of the footage wasn't able to get recorded. Would've loved to have seen the gigantic battle between the orcs and humans I heard about.

Yep, speaking as someone who's never played WoW or even seen it, I have no idea what the hell was happening. :p So I'm looking forward to the official trailer to actually get a sense of it.

predictible reactions under comments of the leaked comic con video. people are disappointed. how would they not be? at comic con you expect a 3 mintue action packed trailer. not focus on ..............story and ...........characters.

p.s.: the guy next to the camera says that he doesnt like it because its all cgi like avatar.:lmao:

:funny:

I don't want to rush to judgment on this because it's bootleg footage but what I saw pretty much just looked like a video game cinematic. :(

Oh didn't know there was a Warcraft trailer at CC. Will check it out.

People that were there for the showing said that the cgi looked great. Let's not forget how amazing that official Orgrim Doomhammer photo was.

Looks great to me, I think I'm going to enjoy this a lot. It does resemble a video game cinematic a bit (I don't see that as a huge criticism given how good many of those look nowadays) but I bet it looks much better when not a bootleg version.

Isnt this footage missing some of the action stuff that I thought was shown at Comic Con ? If so this bootleg will not help this movie

video game cinematic from 2015 or 2010? :cwink:

it couldnt be made more realistic with that budget IMO.

It's not even a trailer; it's just a collection of several bits of footage.

However, it sounds like Legendary might be changing their minds and end up releasing a quick trailer in HD for the public now too. Duncan mentioned on Twitter that he had to go to a meeting for damage control and the like.

The thing is, the movie has been in development for so long that I think it should look better than this. But again, maybe it's just because it was a bootleg video.

The problem is for non game fans. The footage most likely will not get general audience opinion & with this bootleg out in the wild now. Anyone can find it easily. This leak wont help the movie at all. The more of the general audience that sees it

The movie is 11 months away, I don't see any damage caused by people not realizing the footage was intended for the con audience.

I was there. It's "very good" CGI, but photorealism it is not. There wasn't a single instance of me being wowed and fooled into thinking I was watching something tangible, like I did for Avatar.

Most of the people who aren't the core audience won't be seeing a bootleg trailer for Warcraft anyway. I don't think it's a huge deal.

Watched the bootleg. Bloody amazing. I'm not bothered by CGI, if it's a good CGI, and it was exactly that. But most of all, it looked like it has a heart and I personally invested in the characters.

Maybe I sound biased, since WC 1-2 was my childhood, but I'm super-excited.

Also, I thought I'd have a problem with orcs looking so disproportional in comparison to humans, but, turns out, their heads are of the same size, but orcs have MUCH bigger bodies, palms and stuff. Basically, ogres from LOTR.

So it was really cool to see Paula Patton as Garoona with a prosthetic make-up. Looked convincing among other orcs. Not to mention, still freaking hot even as a half-orc woman.

The previously released shot of Orgrim is from this scene, so we know what the CGI will actually look like here. Comparison:

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. But it might still work. They have time to work on it a bit more.

Saw more footage with real actors. This movie gives me 300 mixed with Avatar vibe. In terms of presentation. And I actually like it a lot.

This movie is just the last beacon of hope for movies based on games.

Not really, with the teams making Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell. Both have some serious potential, imo.

how can a character with proportions like Orgrim look realistic? Hulk is big but has at least a lot of human features.

i dont think they could make him more real in 2015 with 200 millions and 2 year of postproduction. why is it that with CGI some have so big expectations?

if only some would try to watch oldschool practical effects with their eyes open. it looked like silicone, rubber with moving mechanical parts. it looked good but still fake.
