With various footage cut out and people saying that the Iron Monger fight seemed a bit rushed, is it possible that there may be a longer director's cut version of the film?

I could have sworn I saw a scene online of the suit going like a stealth blue with red eyes...

am I imagining things?

. Threesome.

. Dubai party.

. Rhodes/Stark conversation.

. More action scenes.

. Tony/Pepper kiss.

. Pepper's flashback.

. Stealth armor (????)

Cut footage doesn't always mean there's a director's cut to be made.

The extended cut of Spider-man 2 was the furthest thing from a director's cut, and Raimi had little to do with it.

I'd like to see all this on DVD though.

I want there to be at least an extended cut if not director's cut. That scene from the trailer where Iron Man stands up from his crouch in that dark room looks like it's in the room where Stane had the Iron Monger armor. I think it might be more of their fight.

I'm not sure if it was filmed. But the game producers talked about Favreau seeing a part in the game where you grab a missile out of the air and toss it back and said he was putting it in the movie. Not sure if it was ever rendered, but something like that would've been really cool to see on film.

That is kind of pointless if you ask me...

It sounds more like something Hulk would do.

IronMan has guns, lazers, bombs, missiles...why would he risk his hide catching one and throwing it back?

Know what I mean?

Let Hulk stick to that

Because it kicks ass!!!

Because he's done this in the comics, and frankly, its an awesome looking visual and comic book shot. Just saying, the producers who worked with Favreau on the game said Favreau loved it so much he was putting it in the movie. For whatever reason it wasn't in the final cut, but whatever.

Why the hell would Iron Man do anything? He grabs a missile and tosses it back at the target.

Wasn't there a scene where Iron Man lands exactly like that photo/Adi Granov cover?

I was hoping he'd do that when he fought the terrorists. But he only does that in the games.

Boooo-urns you two....boo-urns.

This is one of the few films where I'm satisfied enough to not care if there is a directors cut or not :)

I would like to see entire Dubai party sequence, just because that's where Ghostface's cameo and the would-be ménage à trois occur.

Well the final version still looked great, even though it would've looked a lot more bad@$$ if he had disrupted the ground under him.

All i can ask for is, a nice 2 disc DVD, with some cool features, maybe a commentary or two, and all those deleted scenes.

NO need for a directors or extended cut.

Spider-Man 2.1 (while not a director's cut) was a waste for $20. It was a inferior film IMO simply because it killed the pacing of the original cut. I would rather just see what the poster above mentions.

2.1 was not a director's cut though. The theatrical version of Spider-man 2 was for all intents and purposes, the director's cut.

I preferred 2.1 over the theatrical version for Spidey 2 myself.
