. I believe theres some licensing issues involved there with Nintendo and really that is an inferior version of the game. Im glad I got the MGS Collection from a few years back so I at least have the first game in its original form

How is it inferior? Its the same game just with updated visuals and the controls from Sons of Liberty.

Have you actually played it? The only thing better about it are the visuals. The music is different. Some of the voice acting and dialogue is different. The cutscenes are different. These changes make for a different experience and simply put the original is a much better game. I played TTS first so I didnt get the complains people had about it till I played MGS1, and sure enough I ended up agreeing with them

I find that hard to believe. I played through the first 30 minutes or so recently and nothing jumped out at me as being off. Same voice actors are there. Same story elements are there and the game looks 100x better.

Maybe once i get further into ill notice the differences, but i doubt itll bother me. I just dont think i can play through the original game anymore. Its just looks way too dated.

Try playing the entire game and then come back. 30 minutes barely touches the surface of it. The differences noted by people arent arbitrary. They actually do exist

Probably the big issue for me was that the first person perspective they brought over from MGS2 actually made the game insanely easy, even on the harder difficulties. Though, yeah, there was some altercations to dialogue and cut scenes as well. I forget the specifics and all, but I remember them doing some minor changes to that kind of stuff.

I dont think i remember any of the dialog from the first game any way. Its been years since iv played that game.

The big complaint was the matrix inspired cutscenes with Snake doing all these extreme acrobatic moves. One particualr scene had a missle hurled at him and in slow mo, he does a backflip off of it. Stuff like that was too flashy and unnecesary as the original had more of a gritty realistic approach to its cutscenes but TTS felt they needed to be over the top and outrageous

Is it still a Platformer??

All they show is a giant flaming C. It comes out of a tiny little rectangle screen though, so I'm thinking it might be a portable title.

After the Playstation 1 game they all had that problem.

So I think I've heard enough about Transfarring for a long while now.

Not quite. Snake wasnt doing crazy matrix inspired moves in 2-4. They didnt go overboard with the over the top stunts and theatrics with him

The final battle in Metal Gear Solid 4 with the cowboy man and the Rambo man is one of the most overblown things I have seen in a cut-scene ever. It's hilariously over the top, even the voice acting is way over-done.

Liquid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think because the rest of the games are so over the top, seeing Snake do some crazy moves, just wouldnt be that big of a deal.

Yup it is indeed Contra. I'm betting on it being a 3DS title.

I liked Fox's voice actoe better in Twin Snakes.

For the nostalgic, Konami has bundled Silent Hill 2 and 3 into an HD package called Silent Hill Collection. These two titles are getting the high-definition upgrade, so a whole new audience can enjoy these horror classics. No release date has been announced.Konami wins.

Also, I totally called MGS going MP in the MGS thread in the Sony forum. :)

The MGS games getting released on 360 gets me hyped as I've never played them before.

Some still believed #'d games would never go MP. This proves otherwise.
