Yea that really blows. That was the one game I was looking forward to seeing the most. Ah well, at least we got confirmation of the MGS:HD collection.

In 40 minutes GTTV on Spike is going to be showing several trailers for games that you'll see at E3 including Soul Calibur V, Uncharted 3, Tomb Raider, SSX, Metro: Last Light, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Prey 2, and Back to the Future plus a few more.

That whole video was agonizing and poorly done. I thought the dubbing was funny at first and then they get into Transfarring and was I like, WTF?!

What was most pathetic is that dude begging Kojima to give us something and he had NOTHING TO ****ING TELL US OR SHOW US! That whole video would've been fine if we got some sort of teaser or footage of Rising or some cool announcement. That was a waste of ****ing time. I don't want to see you ride in an elevator underground Kojima!

The 'demo' of the engine wasn't even impressive. It looked like some weird middle ground between Snake Eater and Uncharted. I get that this is Konami's first engine, but they need to take a note from Epic when debuting engines to the world.

Well, to be fair, he pretty much explicitly said that Rising would not be there, or at E3 in general beforehand. For some reason, people just outright ignored that or thought that he was lying.

I think I don't like Kojima.

He basically says it will allow for quicker development and better development across all platforms as the engines is built with multiplatform in mind. It probably also means cheaper development in the long run.

Using similar assets doesn't mean the engine will have games that look the same. Lots of engines use jungles or forests as a demo. They have environments that highlight things like light and shadow, color as well as more complicated geometry better compared to other environments.
