The last hope remains with XIII Versus (or now XV). If they **** that up, they've lost my trust.

Oh it's an MMO. No wonder I didn't know about it. Don't know why they combine both single player & MMO games into the same numbering.

Can Square still make a great FF game? I hope so, it's like a chunk of my future being stripped out otherwise.
Ahh the only reason thing's went down hill this gen was cause of their obsession with graphic's and the fact that they went too far with having that be done with the MMO and then they had to fix that MMO game play wise cause of their too much focus on looks for that MMO of all thing to too put too much work into. that was a poor chose.

And it made the normal series like XIII suffer in quality cause of it. and who knows the dev's leads were smoking on XIII as well.

Anyway "versus XIII" which now XV or what ever we'll see it be named is their chance to reset/ or set things right.

I don't even think the graphics are as good for their time as the previous games (from VII onwards) were.

yeah well that was the issue unfortunately and it cost them dearly. and I think it was most for that MMo's cut scene's part more so then next to the in game stuff.

I thought FFXIII on PS3 looked pretty amazing when I played it when it came out.

Anyway the big problem is that Daisuke Watanabe and Motomu Toriyama are bad writers and project leads and just need to stop.

If it's generic fantasy you're looking for, that's what FFXIV is there for. I'm happily ignoring it.

Sony owns 8% of Square Enix.

that's why I said i don't know what their dev leads are smoking

the problem is there's more Effort in how pretty it looks these days then any other work they do . It's not necessarily a bad thing but it's not a good thing if your other work on a game like this suffers.

if the story and over all game play was better or there was more to Exploration from the jump which was what the first installment of XIII suffered from, cause of what happened with the MMO cause they happened at the same time and cause of the MMO made XIII suffer from not having more place's to Explore due to cutting costs . this wouldn't have happened.

The Final Fantasy series doesn't work as generic fantasy for me as it's kind of designed to be huge and end of the world type stuff. I'm a fan of fantasy & don't mind playing a generic Dragon Age or Dark Souls style of fantasy but with FF's style it becomes really bad when it doesn't come together. Most of the characters aren't iconic any more either. I'll take many side characters from VII, VII or X above the more important ones from XIII. On the graphics front I think the competition caught up so that particular game doesn't have the wow factor for the year it came out compared to previous games.

Well like I said there was also the exploration aspect of FF that XIII suffered from not having at the start due to cost's of the MMO being a financial failure, that was a big factor of it going down hill among other thing's. They were trying to stop a bleed of money lost.

I'm hyped&excited for the Sony conference,I'm going to check out the MS conference just so I can know more info and be fair when I likely chose PS4 over XB1

Just got a text message from a friend of mine that's a manager at GameStop that said the following...

have a mandatory schedule. Im here suspiciously at times when microsoft/sony are delivering their conferences. I don't know if that means anything or not...Could however mean instant preoders after the events. If you share this info online don't use my name pls.

GameStop is actively looking for inside informers now.

So out of respect I obviously can give a name..But everything he's ever told me is legit. He's not promising preorders ASAP...but he's saying he wouldn't be shocked. I guess this is worthwhile info for those of you who will be getting one at launch like myself.

Yea im assuming we'll get a date/price and the announcement that the systems are up for preorder.

There's really only 2 things I'm looking forward to. Smash Bros and Batman. Everything else. Eh could careless

I'm looking forward to many games and possible announcements But as far as upcoming games this year..Batman Arkham Origins and Battlefield 4 since they are the only games I'm actually going to buy,Well GTA V and WWE2K14 too But they won't be at the event..Although I'm betting a teaser trailer for 2K14 gets released during or soon after the event.

As far as games go, I'm really anxious to see some actual gameplay from Arkham Origins and Assassin's Creed 4. I want to see if there are any significant differences made in the gameplay. With AC4, I want to see how innovative Ubisoft is willing to be, and just how much of the game will be more about ship battles than running around. For Arkham, I want to see if WB will be content with just mimicking Rocksteady's style, or if they will try to make it their own.

Other than that, some more footage of Splinter Cell and Watch Dogs wouldn't hurt, but I'm already sold on those games.

So will this be the only thread for E3 or will there be separate ones like last year for the specific MS and Sony shows?

I'm hoping we have threads for each...and this one can be kept for general/MP E3 reveals.

SpikeTV will have Live coverage
