EA.... "Just got the news"?
Ah right..sounds fun at least.Think of it as the Fast and the Furious movie series with your buddies on line which star the players.
Yeah. Also I posted a link to a long article about potential benefits from cloud functionality a few weeks ago. If any of that pans out it will make a massive difference later on in the generation, especially to open world games with live populations who are doing things in the background that can affect the world. I didn't think any games near launch would need to or bother using it though based on that.
The more I think about The Division, the more I can't help but feel like it will feel like the MP in GTA IV. You have this big open world and you can get a crew and just go around causing mayhem or whatever. I know some people who loved that, but personally, I want to go around and do things on my own.
oh that's shame that was a fun game when I played it. and I'm supposed to head back to it too. as I promised a buddy that's still on it.I tried DCUO and I just couldn't get into that either because there was so much going on around me and it didn't feel like my character mattered much in the grand scheme of things.
The fact that mere days after Sony announced Uncharted 3, XCOM, and Saints Row 4 for June's PS+, MS announces their own free games service which will launch at some point over the next months with AC2 and Halo 3 is so silly.
I get that Sony has been doing this for longer, and has gotten increasingly awesome at it, but c'mon those can't be the most recent/relevant games MS could get, can they?

My second thought was, "This has got to be relying on cloud computing or something." And yet, when I asked one of the game's producers during my hands-on session, he assured me that the whole game played off the disk.
I think I just saw Peter Moore say that on GTTV.
It sounded just as ridiculous as you have it written.
Not really. MS didnt announce a free games service. This is something they are doing for Gold members from July up until the One's release. Its not an actual ongoing program. They may be testing the waters for something down the line but this isnt meant to be a PS+ equivalent. The fact that mere days after Sony announced Uncharted 3, XCOM, and Saints Row 4 for June's PS+, MS announces their own free games service which will launch at some point over the next months with AC2 and Halo 3 is so silly.
