E3 Thread: 2012 Edition (Conference Times in First Post)

This is the first gameplay footage I've seen of Tomb Raider. Just so we're clear, it is Uncharted with boobs and "teh gritty." Is that accurate? Because it doesn't even look like they are trying to hide it. Not that I mind, it looks like a lot of fun. But that is about right, yes?

You can already tell its better than Uncharted. The game looks much more fluid gameplay wise and you can actually play parts where Uncharted would make them cutscenes

But seriously, i have to admit i haven't really followed full E3 conferences before. I guess i was just expecting too much (maybe more games) now that i could watch the whole thing with my Xbox. So i guess i'm just ignorant when it comes to E3.

Oh and i didn't mean to say that Gears and Halo were crap if anyone got that idea.

It's supposed to be a little bit more than a Uncharted copy. They took other elements from other games too to give it a more unique play style, such as the "Eagle Vision/Detective Mode" effect that slows down time and highlights important things in the environment.

But yeah, the look and feel is definitely heavily influenced by what made Uncharted so great, and if they just come close to mimicking it, I don't see that as a bad thing at all.
