The French arm of Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed the date of the company’s E3 press conference in an email sent to journalists today.
The briefing will take place on Monday June 4th at 18:00 PST (that’s 02:00 on the morning of Tuesday June 5th in the UK).
It will take place in the same venue as it did last year – the Memorial Sports Arena.

Predictions time is a go!

Wait, what!?!

2 in the morning?!

****.

Think of it as a Queen's Diamond Jubilee present Jamie. Just add caffeine.

- Sony announces God of War IV, new IP from Guerrilla Games, new IP from Media Molecule, Uncharted 4, and MediEvil 3 (I make this prediction every year :csad:)

- Sony announces a revitalization of NBA: The Inside and NHL sports franchises

- Sony pulls a Microsoft and focuses a lot of attention of the media features that Sony will include for the PlayStation 3

- An unnecessary large amount of third party games

Bet they have some CoD and Assassin's Creed for Vita to show off. The long rumored Sony Fighting Game too. I'll make a list of predictions later, but I think those three games will be there.

Here's What i think Sony will be showcasing
-Ps Vita: Call of Duty ,Killzone, God of War, Price Cut?
-PS3: Last of Us The Agent God of War IV, Playstation Fighting Game and hopefuly more media features
-PS Move titles
And maybe reveal PS4 at the end of the conference.

Hopefully they will announce release dates for The Last of Us and The Last Guardian.

Anyways, God of War IV and The Last Of Us demos are a given (though I suspect one might be held back for Gamescom). One the Vita front I think we'll get dates for LBP and Killzone too. Oh, and a date for Sly 4 while we're at it.

I doubt we'll be seeing Quantic Dream; their GDC presence seems like an excuse to stay out of the spotlight for another year. I'd also wager that Guerrilla won't announce anything despite its many projects.

I'd hope that Sucker Punch were working on a Vita title, maybe an Infamous spin-off.

I think if Sony want to really hit home this E3 then there's got to be a GTA game on Vita, maybe even GTAV if that's in anyway possible (which I really doubt).

Screw the queen!

:wow:

Here's a question, how much of a presence do you think Move will have at the conference? I think Vita is going to be the centerpiece, so I don't think Move will get very much attention.

i think they'll just announce how much it has sold since launch and maybe announce a few games that will support it Bioshock 3 maybe

The Desmond's Quest guys will show a new game, no question. Aside from that, hopefully not much.

Yeah, I think this is going to be Vita's show.

Anyway, I predict we'll see Metal Gear Solid 5 at Sony's presser this year.

I wouldn't do so well at containing my excitement if that happened. Jack Tretton would actually stop talking as people heard my squeals of glee all the way from the UK.

Have you guys seen or heard about this? It's only available in Japan right now, but I have a feeling that it will make its way to the US before the holidays. The article and link are below.....

Sony has outed a new universal media tuner and recorder, the Sony nasne, intended for use across its PS3, VAIO computer and smartphone/tablet ranges, and the first step in the newly-harmonized “One Sony” business. A PS3-lookalike with digital terrestrial and satellite tuners along with a 500GB hard-drive for recording shows, nasne will allow Sony tablets, phones or other gadgets to access its recordings across the network, as well as being able to stream live video to up to two devices at once.

There’ll also be integration with “G GUIDE TV OUKOKU CHAN-TORU,” a Japanese program guide service, which will enable scheduled recordings to be set remotely from Sony hardware. Streaming, though, uses DLNA, so any compatible TV, phone or tablet should be able to access content stored on the nasne.
Ports include gigabit ethernet, antenna input and output, a B-CAS card slot, and a USB port for hooking up external drives to augment its internal capacity. Multiple nasne units will be supported by various Sony devices so as to boost the number of simultaneous recordings: the PS3 can handle up to four, with the “torne” app, while VAIO PCs will manage up to eight using the free “VAIO TV with nasne” app.

Meanwhile, a “torne for PS Vita” app is in the pipeline for this year, allowing the PS Vita to access shows and transfer them directly onto the gaming handheld. Tablets and Xperia phones will be able to stream across a local network.
The Sony nasne will go on sale in Japan on July 19, priced at 16,980 yen ($211). No word so far on launch plans outside of the country, though we wouldn’t be surprised if Sony was considering it.

I was hoping for a battlefront 3 announcement but screw that now. I expect not much of a huge announcement, just more of showing off 3rd party titles and the last of us. I get the feeling they will still push the move even though I think its technically dead.

I don't see it as dead, but more along the lines of what Sony has always seen it as: a supplement. But pushing the Move onto their major titles like Resistance 3, inFamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, and whatnot, they can heavily promote the Move while not gimping those games with potentially bad controls.

True but I dont know anyone who actually owns a Move. I did for about 2 months but got rid of it because I didnt use it that much.

I'd love to see what the Vita Bioshock looks like.

same here it was fun at first but then i just never ended up using it. Plus the battery life on it sucked it would last only like 2 hours and it'd be down to like one bar.
