E3 Thread: 2012 Edition (Conference Times in First Post)

Well that was disappointing.

Halo 4, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell, Gears, South Park and possibly Smart Glass if they can do some interesting stuff with games. That's all I liked.

I dunno, I thought it had a great start. Halo 4 and Splinter Cell seemed like a good star to the first part of it. But, I dunno...it kinda ran out of steam.

Ya know, I was really excited about Splinter Cell. But the tweet that Ironside isn't returning is killing it for me.

Hopefully it's untrue. I kinda remember this happening with Conviction when Ironside hadn't done the voice for the first bit of trailers.

If Ironside is out, then I probably am too.

Well, no real surprises. Kinect, Apps, Halo, Journey, Forza, Gears, and CoD. Nothing jaw dropping.

Word has it that Star Wars 1313 is the best game at E3 this year. That's what I'm looking forward to the most.

As one of the analysts on Spike said, we really can't expect many new franchises to be launched this late in the generation. That said, I hoped Microsoft had at least one surprise up their sleeves. Very boring show. C + (saved from being lower by some truly awesome looking third party games).

Black Ops 2 looks great. Not ashamed to say I've started liking the CoD campaigns (Black Ops & MW3). BUt Microsoft please understand that a timed exclusive is worthless unless that time is 8-10 years. Thanks.

Fifa:Meh

Madden'13-Looks alright

Splinter Cell Blacklist:Looks f'n awesome

Features: Only interested in NHL/More ESPN/Machima&Web Browser apps

Arcade games:They all look alright

New racing action game:Looks nice But I'm just not into racing games

Tomb Raider-Very cool

Resident Evil 6:I prefer Chris over Lyon But games looks f'n great

South Park-Looks funny But not sure about it yet

Call of Duty Black Ops II:Looks very good But I just haven't been interested in COD games since the first modern warfare

My thoughts:

BLOPS II and Halo 4 looked alright. That's all that really caught my eye.

I'm super excited for Resident Evil 6, or at least I was. I'm really hoping all that QTE Baysplosion crap was for the sake of putting on a good show and not indicative of the bulk of the actual game.

I think the SmartGlass stuff was kind of a stealth confirmation that the next gen Xbox will have a tablet.

Other than that, the show was extremely meh.

SW1313 is really intriguing. Can't wait to see what all the hub bub is all about.

Part of me is wondering if Sony will try to beat MS to the punch and release info this year....but I think we'd hear some buzz about it by now. So yeah, I'd say that both will reveal next year. The incredibly underwhelming roster this year indicates as much. This console generation is nearing the end.

I think that we may even get something at TGS.

This is really feeling like the last lap isn't it? I also get the vibe that we'll get announcements next year.
