I actually think if they truly wanted to, they could make a RE game in vein of the classic ones even without Shinji Mikami but I dunno, I guess they just want adapt the series so it'd be more action-oriented since those games is what selling really well nowadays, it's either that or they want to play it safe so it would fall into the tastes of what the current gamers like. All I can hope for now is that I spoke prematurely regarding Leon's section but who knows. I want to believe.

You're right. If they wanted to, I think they could absolutely make a spectacular survival horror game. But Capcom is run by some very greedy Bobby Kotick-esque types that are only interested in projects that have the potential for huge sales.

That's how it is in the ESPN app for most sports and so I'm guessing it'd be the same But all games of their respective sports!

Microsoft has been coasting for at least a couple of years now and it showed this year more than ever. If they can't even get excited about Halo and Kinect and what have you, how can they ever expect us to?

This generation has gone too long. I have zero intention of buying another console after Wii U, but I can't wait until they're announced so at least E3 will be fun again and game devs are allowed to do new and creative things.
Moving to pc?

They need to just release this last batch of titles and then call it a day. All the new consoles need to be on show this time next year or it will be a complete disaster.

It did start strong. The dashboard stuff should be done somewhere else for people who are looking for that side of it.

Yeah, that or maybe save it for the end or the start...make it easy for us to know when it really "starts". Putting it in the middle puts people to sleep, and you kill the groove.

Having all the crap at the start, then having Usher do his thing to kick off the "real start" and then just go with Halo, Splinter Cell, etc. probably would have been a better way to manage it. Maybe, I don't know. If you NEED to keep that stuff there, I guess.

The new racing action game they showed was not Forza..It's just inspired by it and so there's one new game!

With Microsoft relying heavily on multimedia and more than just being on the console..They should start making handheld consoles,And then that way they can focus more on games as Sony does between PS3&Vita and Nintendo&3DS!!

The expansion of ESPN was actually pretty good news for me. I like the ESPN app I've currently got on XBL, but it's pretty much limited to ESPN3, which means you get to watch Professional International Archery and Xtreme Badminton World Tour from three weeks ago, instead of live football, baseball and basketball. With the expansion, sounds like we're actually getting genuine ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, and ESPNU, 24/7.

That's damn important to me, because now I'll have some games to watch without having to arm-wrestle my wife for TV time. (She *usually* loses, but hey)

The handheld market isn't as large as the console market to the point where just two on the market make it feel kind of crowded. Plus MS' core demographic does not tend to play handhelds. I think an MS handheld would be a pretty big flop.

SpikeTV just showed an XCOM: Enemy Unknown trailer. Looks ****ing great

Forza and the Kinect games disagree with you.
Forza & Gran Turismo completely cancel each other out. Everyone knows we are going to have a massive driving game on each console every couple of years. Never going to be a surprise. It's as exciting as hearing a new CoD is coming out. I love the idea of Kinect but I'm just waiting out the 5 years or so before they do something good with it. I'd be on it for hours every day if they'd done what I was expecting. And can you call any of the Kinect stuff you've seen today exciting? MS also have Fable but they're not exactly trying to push that towards being a top title either.

Moving to pc?

I am. With all the different SKUs with different HDDs, patches, DLC/expansions, optional high resolution texture packs, media apps, etc... consoles are becoming very similar to PCs anyway, only you're getting a lot of the headaches of PC gaming with none of the benefits.

Not to mention all the nonsense like pay to play online, preorder DLC, retailer exclusive DLC, increasingly dumbing down games to please an ever-growing audience, possible monthly subscriptions just to own a console, overpriced everything... its getting to be more than I care deal with and completely divorcing myself from it is becoming more attractive everyday.

Or even, you know, don't have Usher in it at all!

I'm interested in that stuff and I could barely stay awake so any of those methods would be preferable.

Yeah I also like it and IF they add more ESPN to have NFL games and now also NHL then that's great news indeed and saves me money on sports packages!

Personally I'm a HUGE wrestling fan and so I'd love for a WWE/TNA or indie wrestling channel app to be announced next year and have full new episodes and able to buy&see ppvs from the console like the UFC Channel!

G4 has such little talent. These people make local news anchors look like Tom Brokaw.

It's not worth it. Microsoft would be better off taking that money and throwing more of it at Kinnect then flushing it down the toilet on a mobile gaming device.

Just saw the other portion of the demo for Tomb Raider on SpikeTV and man that game looks great. It's been at the top of my list since the trailer last year, and the gameplay looks very impressive.

Speaking of which, I finally saw the Splinter Cell Blacklist demo and I really liked what I saw. Although I don't know if its supposed to be a sequel or a prequel or anything, and I never played Conviction since it never came out for PS3, so I'm kinda confused as to what the story behind it is. And as much as I liked Eric Johnson as an actor, I kinda miss Ironside as Sam.

PC gaming could get a bit expensive at times too though,Having to upgrade game cards or even PC's themselves!!

I like Usher, though. He can put on a good show.

The rest is pretty easy to just doze off to.

Well I really couldn't blame anyone with the cash in today's market for making that move and exiting consoles entirely. At this stage of the lifecycle pc is the obviously superior format on many fronts. I will be staying with consoles (as well as light pc use) as I want to stay in touch with all the people I've played with over the years and a massive game collection that I plan on keeping. Good luck to ya.

I'm watching it online, when is the EA press conference going to begin?

Getting a gaming PC (I plan on building my own) definitely has bigger cost up front, but maintaining it over the years is a lot cheaper than buying new consoles, and games are significantly cheaper. I just bought the entire Ghost Recon franchise not long ago on Steam for $6. Compare that to the $20 it costs to get just one GR game for Xbox on Amazon or Xbox on Demand.

He can put on a good show. I'm just not in the mood for all that till I get my gaming fix. :woot:
