I disagree.

The reason the crowd's behavior comes across as childish and obnoxious boils down to this:
Daniel Bryan has been getting major focus on a fairly consistent basis since the WWE elevated him to main event status by giving him the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2011, regardless of whether or not he's holding a title.
How is this a response to the quote. And secondly, what is your point? They aren't happy. Should they fake it?

The fans aren't stupid. They know what it means when a guy ends up behind Cena and Orton in the main event line again. They know what true main event status is.

And when Bryan WAS WHC, he was put up against nothing, but giants and made to look weak.

No he wasn't. The WHC was a glorified midcard title that hadn't closed a PPV since 2010.

I just find it funny that Bryan was "elevated to main event status" by winning MITB when the exact opposite happened.

At any rate, I hope The Shield vs The Wyatt's is booked as a Chamber match, it'll probably be the closest we ever get to a War Games in WWE.

I surely hope so too - I was really hoping they'd do it last year when it was The Shield vs. Cena, Sheamus & Ryback, but it ended up being a regular tag match. In hindsight, it was probably the right call since The Shield had been so dominant at that point that it might have been a bad idea for any of them to take a pinfall only a few months in... but now, they don't have to worry as much about protecting them since they're already established.

Oh man, Wyatts vs. The Shield would be so awesome... Start with Harper & Rollins and we'd get a nice back & forth for five minutes, bring in Rowan so they can double team Rollins & he can bump like a madman, Reigns in to wreck shop next, Wyatt in next to match him, then Ambrose in last. It'd be fun, since you've got such fun personalities & great workers in there.

So if the WWE had done the same thing to Austin and The Rock back in the 90's, fans should have just accepted the same thing as well?

And one of the big points of this business is to provided material that fans want, and clearly they're not satisfied and I don't blame them.

Plus, the amount of Fans that Daniel Bryan has isn't just consisted of random groups of people throughout the audience. All you would have to do is just listen to the entire arena to know that practically every one supports this guy.

And honestly, I wish you would do some research Digific before making your points.

After Daniel lost his first world title, in a rather embarrassing way, he was stuck in a losing streak before being placed in a tag team with Kane for several months...hardly something that I would call main event.

He only got back into the main event once his match with Cena came around...and we all know on how that happened.

Look, fans would be more than happy if Daniel was allowed to have the same run that most champions currently and before him have had...which is a long reign where he's not screwed over.

If you consider that too much to ask for and still say that Daniel has been given the main event spot light, despite the fact that I just stated above on what's been going on with Bryan outside of the Title Picture, then wow...

Honestly, when it comes to the Wyatts...my belief has always been this. Aside from Bray, the rest of the Wyatt gang really don't stand out like how all three members of SHIELD do in some form. That's why it's hard for me to look at this match up as a great thing between two teams when one of them is just practically made up of one standout that has two generic big guys protecting him.

Isn't the idea of Bryan that he is getting screwed over? Isn't this not the reaction you would expect in such a situation?

He was jobbed out, then he won the the title and worked the undercard just like all fake IC champions.

The return of the American Dragon vs. KENTA!?!?!?!

I think both units are at the perfect point for this to be amazing. The Shield are still strong the seeds of a split are planted, while The Wyatt's have gained some real traction with the Bryan angle. It'll be interesting to see Reigns and Bray square-off given how much both were elevated at the Rumble.

I actually think Harper is great, with a little repackaging he can do well post-Wyatt family gimmick IMO.

According to pwinsider.com, Pro Wrestling NOAH's KENTA arrived at the WWE Performance Center for a tryout with the company. William Regal made the suggestion for WWE to bring him in for the tryout.

Always been a fan of KENTA, I'd love to see him get a shot in WWE but realistically I think it's unlikely. Okada is the only Japanese wrestler with the all round package to make it in WWE right now IMO.

- According to F4WOnline.com, while Vince McMahon and WWE officials did take note, and respond to the Royal Rumble reaction, it's being said the crowd response will not change WWE's current creative plan of featuring Batista vs Randy Orton for the WWE World Title and Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus at WrestleMania 30.

As we noted moments ago, WWE is considering a heel turn for Batista after WrestleMania 30, and it remains unclear whether or not that was due to the Rumble reaction or if it was WWE's plan all along.

- 36 hours after the Royal Rumble match, fans are still furious as to why Daniel Bryan was not added into the match. PWInsider.com is reporting that there was never a thought in the mind of WWE officials to add Bryan into the match.

Furthermore, Xavier Woods and Bad News Barrett were replaced the day of the event by JBL and El Torito.

The head agent of the match is Jamie Noble, who may be taking some blame for the lack of interesting spots. Other than Kofi Kingston, who always seems to have a big highlight in the match, backstage officials are saying that there was nothing memorable. A major reason to potentially look at is that WWE officials did not start mapping out the plan for the match until 6pm, which was only a few hours before the show went live from Pittsburgh.

- According to PWInsider.com, original plans for Raw last night called for the show to feature a series of Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, but when Vince McMahon ordered that the show be written yesterday, the decision was made to instead feature the 6 man tag team match as a qualifying bout.

There were also plans for CM Punk to be involved in a Chamber qualifying bout, however the decision was made to hold off until next week so they could focus on Punk's story line with Kane.

The return of the American Dragon vs. KENTA!?!?!?!

Interesting... as much as ^this would be awesome to see in a WWE ring, I just don't see it happening. Especially because of the recent reports about their feelings on smaller guys.

Totally agree. Okada is a bigger guy, has "the look" and has experience working in a televised environment in the US. If you do bring in a guy from Japan though, do you bring him in with a handler? Might not be a bad second TV run for a guy like Regal... bringing in the foreign guy to reach plateaus he could never reach himself.

what's that WWE?? Nothing memorable happened at the Rumble??

how bout......Daniel Bryan makes a surprise entrance at #30 to the roar of the crowd and wins??

would that not have been memorable??

guess not..........

So now putting all of the interesting spots together for the Rumble is on the shoulders of one guy? Wouldn't you think the wrestlers themselves have some ideas for how to maximize their time? I like Noble & by all accounts he's a great guy backstage, so if he gets punished because there wasn't anything "memorable" they really just don't have a clue. FWIW, I thought the match was structured very well. They did miss a big opportunity by not allowing Barrett to be #30 & address the fact that Bryan wasn't going to be in it. Can you imagine the heat it would have got if Wade came out with "I've got some bad news... You won't be seeing your hero tonight, so deal with it!" I can't take credit for the idea, but it's a shame that they didn't capitalize on a situation where it was obvious the crowd would want DB.

Who on planet Earth really thinks Batista vs. Orton should main event WM? If it holds, I am definitely not buying it this year.

So I just ordered WWE Superstar Collection: Kofi Kingston for 5 bucks.

I'm sure Woods and Barrett are upset about being replaced by Torito and JBL. I think Woods will develop into a solid midcard face. Still before him i'd have called up Kruger, and Graves.

Ultimate Warrior, who had a brief war of words with Jake Roberts via Twitter a couple weeks ago, has posted the following in regards to Roberts' Hall of Fame induction:

He'd definitely need a manager I think, ideally though they'd avoid the oldschool foreigner heel gimmick and just play him as himself. Heyman promoting him as bringing a new threat from the far East would be my choice.

I would dig either KENTA or Okada coming in with Regal as a manager.

On a related note, I also read something about Tanahashi possibly appearing in Ring of Honor.

I actually said that about Barret the other night  People seemed to have forgotten Rey was in the match, as did I . WWE can't be this stupid. Also I enjoyed the rumble. It could of been better but besides the ending it wasn't bad imo.

At least Bryan is part of the elimination chamber. That will cool some of the heat. WWE will get 75000 fans to chant for Bryan but it will be during the Orton/Batista match.

I wonder if there's a way to get people to turn their boos into silently turning their backs? Or, better yet, empty seats!

Sadly, they are playing us like a true heel. Treating us a certain way, getting exactly the reaction they want, and still, getting us to show up and tune in. We'll do it just to boo them.
