Or just make it Lesnar vs Orton for the belt at the Chamber and have Lesnar win it as they are gonna be in Lesnar's hometown for the PPV and have the Chamber be a #1 contenders match with Cena, Punk, Bryan, Sheamus, Del Rio, and Batista with Bryan going over.

For Shawn Michaels to call himself the Headliner, he had to headline.

For Shawn Michaels to call himself the Main-Event, he had to main-event.

Shawn was given the opportunities to do these things and it was done without belittling, and it was done also because the fans wanted him to make it. Bryan has not.

you seem to forget that before he reached that point of not needing to be in title matches, he headlined Wrestlemania, won the title, held the title for a period time and was consistently kept in the main-event. Those things had to take place first. Do you think after the ladder match at Wrestlemania X that Shawn was a main-eventer?

And if the fans hijack Wrestlemania because the main-event isn't what the crowd wants, that's the company's fault for not listening to them for nearly half a year now.
THANK YOU The Sage?

And you know what else, HBK when he had his first run was never as big of a draw as those he came in succession of. Even though he wasn't as big of a draw with PPV and ratings, they didn't just dump on him every week. He held the title until like Survivor Series and then got it back again a short time later.

Just saying, the creative team actually got behind him and allowed him to run with the ball even when it didn't look like it was doing well.

WWE no longer has type of patience.

Nolan, that's too late. Bryan and co. are already in the Chamber match.

The first two matches (IMO) for Elimination Chamber:

Randy Orton vs John Cena vs Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus vs Alberto Del Rio vs Brock Lesnar

The Wyatt Family vs The Shield

Cena Vs. Bryan Vs. Sheamus Vs. Orton Vs. Punk Vs. Lesnar

See, this is exactly why I hated them unifying the titles. Now, you got too many guys (including Batista) in the title scene now. : /

I can see the final 2 in the chamber been Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan, then suddenly the lights go out and Taker appears and costs Lesnar the match, setting up Lesnar vs Taker for WM.

Orton can still complain and weasel his way out of that match, thus making it the Chamber Match for a #1 contenders spot, and still keep Bryan, Cena, and Sheamus in the Chamber.

Pass on that ending. If Bryan wins, let it be clean. Maybe Brock can challenge Batista for his Wrestlemania shot.

Here's ths thing though, guys like Lesnar, Batista, Orton, and Sheamus don't need to be in the title scene.

At least, right now.

The names and faces in the title scene should NEVER be fixed. At any time.

That's exactly why WCW went out of business, and why we've now had Cena/Orton nearly 20 times for the title.

That's gotta stop.

Plus, there are 2 other titles those guys could be competing for. Particularly, the IC title, which needs to be elevated to the placec the WHC was at, and had taken when it from it when it was introduced.

The only problem by doing that is the WrestleMania title match becomes a triple threat. I prefer it one on one.

I would have Orton vs Lesnar for the belt at the Chamber with Lesnar going over and Bryan winning the #1 contendership inside the Chamber the same night and thus: Bryan vs Lesnar as your Mania main event.

Personally, I like the idea of it being triple threat.

It'd be a great mirror of the WMXX three way, and it would continue the tradition we've had since WrestleMania X, where every tenth mania, we have 3 men vying for the top title.

You'd still have the same problems of both titles not being seen as equals though, but rather one (the WWE title) held in higher esteem than the other (WHC).

I think that's an unfair assessment. Honestly, I think the bigger problem was that the developmental system couldn't produce enough TV-ready guys based on the fact that it was smaller (and run less competently towards from 2008-2011)... Now, with the performance center & NXT in full swing, there's a bunch of guys that are ready to make the jump but there's just not enough space to feature them effectively.

Seriously, you've got Bo Dallas, Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, Tyler Breeze, Corey Graves & Leo Kruger (in whatever incarnation) on the guys side with Paige, Sasha Banks, Emma & Bayley who could contribute on the womens side - all of those people could be on WWE TV right now and they'd be 1000x better than some of the people who we saw promoted during 2008-2011.

Granted, all those young talents are great. But a brand split might ghettoize them further. You'd have CM Punk, Sheamus and Orton, let's say, rotating in between the top program in Smackdown, and then Cena, Bryan and Big Show rotating in between the top program in Raw. You wouldn't get the impetus for someone like Punk for instance to work with Adrian Neville, because they will "need" Punk to be a constant fixture on the Smackdown title scene because they now have only three top draws. Whereas with a full roster, it would force them to move their big 6 guys up and down the card, which will shake things up in a good way.

When you've got 5+ hours of TV a week to fill, you don't need an artificial division to give everyone a chance, you just need your creative team to be smarter and better organized.

Yeah, but at least this way, you could have had Batista Vs. Orton for the WWE Championship while Bryan Vs. Cena for the World Heavyweight Title which would guarantee the title would be higher up on the card with Cena's involvement which would've saved him from the Wyatt feud.

I mean its good for Bray Wyatt to work with a top star at WrestleMania, but downgrade for Cena to work with a "rookie" at Wrestlemania considering he defeated The Rock one year ago.

I'll just say this, WWE killed the prestige of the World Heavyweight Championship and as result they made the Intercontinental Championship mean less. The World Heavyweight Championship should not have been opening as many shows as it did. Don't ever use the WHC as a line of defense. It doesn't hold water

Orton vs. Batista is going to get **** on so bad at Mania if WWE doesn't find a way to get the fans behind Batista between now and then, because so far his return has been lukewarm at best and Orton is even more lukewarm as a heel as Batista is as a babyface so he can't get Batista more over. The biggest reason I'm thinking Bryan should be in there with them is so the fans actually have someone to root for.

WWE should really do more rethinking of their plans.

Its like what Hunter mentioned last night and I agree with, the triple threat match at WM dilutes the big match feel.

WWE made the WHC a midcard title, so what purpose did it serve that the IC title didn't for years?

I don't mind a triple threat for the WrestleMania main event if it makes storyline and business sense. I don't care about it being one on one for the sake of having a one on one match. It has to be a match that makes sense from a crowd reaction standpoint, a storyline standpoint, and a business standpoint.

But all the triple threats that did happen didn't need to:

10 - McMahon mishandled Luger's push.

20 - McMahon didn't think That One Guy could draw well on his own.

22 - Eddie's death and Orton was being a headache backstage.

24 - Helmsley didn't stay want to stay out of the title picture.

25 - Hogan backed out of a match with Cena.

Bryan needs to somehow win the title shot from Batista. It's what's best for business. It will also justify the flip-flop booking of Bryan for the past 6 months. The only con is that having Batista lose his title shot not only cheats what the Royal Rumble represents but it will make Vince and Haitch look stupid for obviously changing plans after the Rumble fan sabotage.

As said earlier on this page, Bryan's chase should not end at a throwaway PPV like Elimination Chamber. If you put the strap on him, you do it at the granddaddy of them all. With that said, I truly feel for Punk. That dude is in limbo. They should have just had him end the streak. They truly should have.
