So lately I've given these a try and there's some that actually read like a novel employing the fantastic elements of Dungeons and Dragons without seeming like a written account of a gaming session. There's a few different worlds the novels take place in. The Forgotten Realms, Eberron (my favorite world), Krynn (the Dragonlance series).

Anyway, I'm wondering if the novel "The Temptation of Elminster" seems like a rehash of "Elminster: The Making of a Mage." I read that in TTOE, Elminster releans some magic from the Lady of Shadows. It reminded me of him learning magic from Mystra in ETMOAM. So I'm wondering if Ed recycled the idea, or if its done in a way that it doesn't seem like a rehash. Thanks!
