Risky Business is reporting that Eddie Murphy is attached to produce and could potentially star in The Misadventures of Fluffy, a new buddy comedy that's been set up at Paramount.

Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly sold the pitch for the R-rated comedy and will write the script. The project is described as a road trip film through New York featuring talking animals.

Paramount was already working with Eddie Murphy business, as writers are currently being sought for the studio's Beverly Hills Cop 4.

I agree he needs to get out of the goofy family stuff, though this film if he is in it seem to be for more adult crowd. But he should go back to his BHC days and less family film days.

Eddie Murphy as a Talking Animal? Sure why not he's talked to them before in Doctor Dolittle. Sounds like Homeward Bound to me though. God this guy really needs a new agent or something.

well also looking at the article he could end up not even being in the film, it did say he is producing the picture.

But it's a R-rated comedy, this is what people have been wanting from Eddie for years! I'm excited for it if he manages to channel some of that good ol' 80s Eddie.

If this is R-rated and they don't tone it down into a family vehicle through rewrites, I'll give it a shot. Thought I'm still wanting BHC IV. Heck, I'd take Nutty Professor III.
