Education person: "If you cheat you're only hurting yourself."

I never needed to cheat, I'm one of the flukey bastards that just managed to bull**** his way through school without doing any work. I got 73% for my dissertation which was supposed to take me a year to write. I did it in three days and didn't read a single book, just picked an obscure topic, skimed through a couple of books and picked interesting sounding quotes. Half of them I didn't understand what they meant but I managed to blag it :word:

My parents are so proud :D

Anyone else believe that?

I don't. I don't cheat in school often, but sometimes I have to. Like if I'm really confused on a homework thing. Usually math or science. Sometimes other assignments don't make sense. I usually do it all on my own but like I said, I need answers sometimes. So usually friends help me out. I help them too.

How is it going to hurt you? Really, when are we going to use history in life, or science, or advanced math? Never. Unless you're going to get a job that has to do with that stuff.

I've asked tons of adults who have been through school if they have EVER used any of that stuff and they said no.
I've never cheated on a test or whatever. Usually it's just with homework. But not much though.

Anyway, do you believe that stuff? Do you think cheating is okay sometimes?

You especially need to do it when you have NO IDEA on how to do it at all and if you fail that assignment it will hurt you pretty bad.

Pretty much....

Cheating in school does not hurt you at all unless its grade school or something that you will need in your desired career or field of study.

I'm talking about Algebra and crap. When will you use that?

When I get older and stuff, I'm choosing between these.

Comic artist
Movie director
Actor

Wow...you're so ****ed.

If you cheat at something that you 'have no idea how to do', you'll never learn how to it - which is the entire point of education in the first place.

I guess you must have skipped more than a few classes if you don't understand that.

Yes I do believe it. I also think you are hurting your future sons and wife... and all of your future. You are hurting your parents and that could even affect your family a 100 years from now. Being stupid is passed along from generations to generations.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away :)

Dude, we know you're a troll, get over yourself, it's kinda boring. If you want to report me feel free. I'm sure there will be plenty of people lining up to support your position in this...literally hundreds :whatever:

See, what you've done there is that you've confused 'life' with the fictional adventure film 'Back to the Future Part 2.'

he tends to do that quite a lot

Instead of cheating, hire yourself a tutor to help you get through the difficult subjects. Ask your teacher which student in the school is doing best in that subject and have them tutor you. You will hopefully learn the subject, the teacher will know that you're trying, and you might even make a friend.

First of all, "If you cheat you're only hurting yourself" is true. If you're cheating on a test or an assignment only to get it done, get the good grade so it looks good for college, or whatever you want the good grade for...then, yeah, you are hurting yourself. Do you know how to do that certain area of math or science? Do you not comprehend it?

If you don't comprehend the assignment or what's being taught ask the teacher for help. About 99 percent of teachers will set time aside for you after school to help you out and help you better understand what is being taught to you.

Just because there are some adults around you that say, "Oh, don't worry about that you won't EVER use that in your life again." First off, what kind of adult is that? Second off, who's to say that you WON'T need to use that again in your life? You just MAY because you never know where you're going to end up.

When I was high school people used to try and copy off me all the time. I used to let them because I knew what I was doing, and if getting a good grade helped them, that's fine. But they won't ever know how to do that certain area of education. Trust me. I talk to people who graduated with me recently and mostly all of them say they wished the paid better attention and didn't cheat to get the good grade because it would be nice to know certain things.

So, how about this? Take advice from this adult. Pay the **** attention in school, do the work yourself, and don't rely on other people to do it for you. Because in the really real world when you go to work...do you think someone is going to let you cheat off of them? Trust me, they aren't and you'll be left jobless and wanting to constantly cheat off of people because you CAN'T DO IT YOURSELF! :cmad:
