I thought this was cool, thought I would share.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - "Sons of Skyrim" Song Lyrics

Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin,

Naal ok zin, los vahriin,

Wah dien vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal,

Ahrk fin norok paal graan,

Fod nust hon zindro zaan,

Dovahkiin, fah hin kogaan mu draal.

Ahrk fin kel lost prodah,

Do ved viing ko fin krah,

Tol fod zyemah win kien meyz fundien

Alduin fyen do jun,

Kruziik vokun staadnau,

Voth aan bahlok wah diivon fin lien.

Translation

Dragonborn, Dragonborn,

By his honor, is sworn,

To keep evil forever at bay,

And the fiercest foes rout,

When they hear triumph's shout,

Dragonborn, for your blessing we pray,

And the Scrolls have foretold,

Of black wings in the cold,

That when brothers wage war come unfurled,

Alduin bane of kings,

Ancient shadow unbound,

With a hunger to swallow the world.
Nice, lol.

Fighting a dragon with a bow highlights the problem of first person with a control pad. It turns far too slow and this is problematic with dragons when they are flying. If you turn the sensitivity up, aspects outside of using a bow at a distance move far too fast because you are looking at things from a closer viewpoint that requires less distance and more precision to turn. I really don't like it at all but i'm stuck with it until someone fixes the UI, which could take well ver a month. :/

I just use Shouts and then hack at it when I can get close to it.

It might be because of the light armour built and combat skill but anytime I get near one with a sword it just takes a chomp and throws my char halfway across the map.
Most of the kills have been stealth without the need to swing. Much of the damage comes from potions on a bow tip at a distance. It's fairly easy to kill when it's distracted, which seems to be alot as it attacks anything on the dam map.

Hahaha

Buy the plush Skyrim helmet for dramatic effect. lol

Then storm the living room.

I want one!! :wow:

Yeah, sure okay. :o

I want that, too!! Skyrim Nyan Cat as a companion FTW!! :awesome:

I'm usually listen to classical type music like

Escaflowne - OST ~ Dance of curse
[YT]vSlNHi6wgQQ[/YT]

Final Fantasy VIII - Liberi Fatali
[YT]Zfd9krEsr-k[/YT]

Gustav Holst - The Planets - Mars, the Bringer of War
[YT]L0bcRCCg01I[/YT]

Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song (In The Forest & The Hobbit)
[YT]sC7iR577OQw[/YT]

Gotta go with anything from Two Steps from Hell and the entire Conan The Barbarian soundtrack.

Farkas and I were on my initiation quest for The Companions. We picked up the quest item and about 20 Druegers popped out of their sarcophagus' in wave after wave. At 3:33 of the vid would accurately describe how How me and Farkas cut, stabbed, bashed, blasted, and healed our way through the onslaught!

Anyone know of a site that has more info on what happened between the Oblivion and Skyrim games? I'm a little confused.

I get that Skyrim is at Civil War with those who want independence and those who want to remain with the Empire. I'm not quite clear on the Talos worshipping ban, I thought he was an Imperial but talking to NPCs I think they said he was a Nord. Not really sure where the Altmeri Dominion fit in with this either, seems like they control the empire or Emperor.

Damnit! Just spent 1K on a horse and not 5 min later a damn dragon eats him. WTF dragon!

I much prefer a controller. I've never liked using a mouse, for anything really. In fact, I don't think I've used a mouse for even regular computing for nearly 10 years.

Im loving the puzzles during the Alduins Wall quest

Somewhere in the 200 years between the Oblivion Crisis and the Return of the Dragons, the Altmeri Dominion and the Empire went to war with one another. Talos, who was a Dragonborn, was actually the Emperor Tiber Septim, the first emperor of the Third Empire. He is revered as one of the Nine Divine, he was once mortal, but was raised to godhood when he died.
The Altmeri Dominion hates humans, so they want to ban the worship of a once-human god. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Tiber_Septim

Thanks, that clears things up. Didn't realize he was a Nord, thought he was an Imperial which kind of threw me off.

Also, if you don't have Oblivion, it's on sale at Steam the rest of the week. $5 for the GOTY version (game, Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles DLC), $6.24 for GOTY version and all other DLC.

Lol, my horse died eariler as well. And my
companion, Lydia, just died!

I think I might cry if that happened. She's the Gabrielle to my Xena, Iolaus to my Hercules.

Am I the only one who feels like they're playing a TV show when they play? Lydia has been with me since the beginning, and it makes me feel like we're two adventurers on a journey, and the quests feel like episodes. It makes me feel like I'm playing a syndicated Sam Raimi show from the 90's. If she were to die, I think I'd have to go back to the save before she died.

Man, this game is so freakin' immersive!! I really feel like I stepped into a new world.

Not really a spoiler but I'll put tags on it anyway

I went to do a College of Winterhold quest. I fast traveled to some spot on a map in the mountains and went to the location. When I got there, enemies were attacking me, so I just got off my horse and ran. Did the quest (which took maybe 40 min) and some other stuff. Then found out my horse must have died. I fast traveled to a city, it wasn't there, went back to where the quest was, couldn't find it but found Necromancers who must have killed it. I killed them and loaded a previous save. I refuse to lose my horse. We have survived everything together.

As for Lydia, she just stays in my house in Whiterun. I prefer to go through dungeons alone so I can stealth kill everyone.

LOL, well said. I'm still debating on whether or not I should load a previous save before she died.

Found the hottest chick in all of Skyrim and of course, she has no dialog tree. Damn! She would of made good wife.
