Cool. That place always makes me think of Rohan.
First time I saw Whiterun, I heard the Riders of Rohan theme in my head.
Cool. That place always makes me think of Rohan.
are there any cool "rapier" style swords? especially ones that would go well with that cool Nightingale armor?
Sadly no, just Great, Long and Short Swords in the game, no Rapier type weapons.
Elven short swords looks pretty sweet.
Unlike Oblivion, I've never been in need lock picks. I don't know how many I actually have, but it's said 99+ for a long time.
Then how do you unlock locked doors or chests? Do you have a spell for that? Or are you saying u just always have a bunch of em?
I'm just saying I have a ton of them to the point that the counter hasn't dipped below 99. Hence, I've never been in need of them.
Hopefully in TES VI, they'll give you the option to bash doors/chests open.
Riders of Rohan?
Do you guys mean Rohan Sippy the director?
Free video games for life is quite a treasure.
Especially when the game company offering the freebies is the maker of Skyrim (aka Elder Scrolls V), the latest in a series of award winning roleplaying adventure games.
Bethesda Softworks threw down a challenge early this year that they probably assumed no woman would take part in — simply have a child born 11/11/11 (the day of Skyrim’s release) and name it “Dovahkiin” (that means Dragonborn in dragon lingo) to win.
Quest complete.
The game company officially congratulated Megan and Eric Kellermeyer for their part in bringing baby Dovahkiin Tom Kellermeyer into this world bereft of magic (Xanadu does not count).
“Be it the real world or the game worlds we create, we wish young Dovahkiin the best in all his adventures,” Bethesda wrote on the company blog. They’ve even got a pic of the tyke surrounded in Skyrim loot.
The challenge came with a disclaimer of pure legend:
“Any reward for completing this quest will not ultimately justify the potential teasing your child could — and probably will — endure over its lifespan. Bethesda Softworks is not responsible for your parenting. You may gain experience points for completing this quest, but you will not care at 3 am on a work night. Completion of this quest may also result in decreased desire to play video games and/or function as a human being. Consult with your friends before embarking on this quest; while it may not start in prison, it probably ends there.”
The prison joke is a reference to how Elder Scrolls games usually begin. The main character is stuck in prison and somehow escapes to become a hero. I should know … my dark elf mage escaped death row and is currently torching zombies in Dustman’s Cairn!
