Have you played D&D? I'm not talking video game, I'm talking the sit down at a table with a bunch of friends pen and paper roleplaying game. You know, the game that made it so we HAVE computer and console RPGs. I'm saying that in D&D a high level rogue with a good weapon can deal upwards of 200 damage to an opponent with a sneak attack and good damage rolls. A rogue at level 19 deals an additional 10d6 damage with a sneak attack. A rogue at level 20 has the option to outright kill ANY opponent who fails a fortitude save after a sneak attack. Also, the perks system? D&D did it first. They're called feats.Personally I think it's totally fair. Skyrim has an entire skill tree dedicated to sneak with specific sneak related items. When I created my own built, I specifically pre-thought out that I wanted to play as a Rogue. Shogun 2 isn't totally a RPG game but I would say thats skill tree is more balanced than Skyrim as well.
Batman Arkham City works in a similar manner regardless of stats. Critical strikes, instant take downs. The diffrences with stats doesn't really stop Bethesda from looking at it and saying "hey this is really good". The combat in Skyrim is taken from Bioshock, which isn't DnD at all. And I beleive the perk system, from Call Of Duty.
When you progress through Arkham City, Rocksteady attempt to mix things up. Nightvision goggles to stop the player just perching on top of Gargoyles. Scramblers on specific NPC's that stop the player from abusing detective mode. Hostages that prevent the player from appearing and dissapearing. Even though you are basically going into a room and doing the same thing over and over it never feels reptitive because the game is giving you these little tweaks with each encounter. Skyrim was kind of getting there with those ghosty skeletor people you can stab when they are sleeping like a statue. But I haven't came across that again very much so far.
Have you played D&D? I'm not talking video game
If you doubt my word feel free to sit for an hour and find the specific point at which Todd Howard admits the magic mechanic is taken from Bioshock. There is also another video were he specifically sights Call Of Duty as something people will recognize. I'm pretty sure there was also another video of him mentioning Bioshock. As well as specifically saying they look at other games for inspiration.
I'm talking about a video game. Which the mechanics are adapted too.
There is no reason what I mentioned couldn't be adapted.

With swordplay and whatnot
The sword play is influenced by a mod called "deadly reflex". The basic point that Bethesda looks at something and takes from it stands. So, nothing to argue here. All i'm saying is they should take a look at Arkham City, it is very good at the specific elements they are currently very weak in.
And you guys thought Spock was a disturbed

he would probably vanish because he'd end up criticizing his own work. Kind of like getting mixelplix to say his name backwards.![]()
And you guys thought Spock was a disturbed
Man I really want to see you design a game lol.
And you guys thought Spock was a disturbed

What in the...? How the hell did they manage to do that?
He's playing on PC so there's probably a console command to make it easier. Either way, very messed up. I'm just happy whoever set that up isn't doing that in real life... I hope.

Holy ****. Don't let Fox News or the politicians see this, it'll give them a raging mass hysteria *****.

i almost want them to see it, so they can rename skyrim to something completely wacky.
