I'm not going to bother with Dragon Armor, i don't really like the way it looks........plus Daedric Armor is better. :P

Same here. It's kind of a goofy looking armor. I gave a full set to my companion and I use the Daedric.

I thought the Ebony armor looked pretty cool, but for almost the entire game I've been sporting Iron. Now I'm running around in Iron Armor, Steel Gauntlets and Orc Boots. I also wore an Orc helmet for the last couple of parts of the main quest.

Skyrim without textures. It looks cel-shaded.:awesome:

I don't know if I should wear Daedric Armour or not since I wore it for a LONG time in Oblivion, lol. What do I need to od in order to get the parts for the Daedric armour, anyway?

A Daedric heart, some leather and a metric ****-ton of Ebony Ingots. It takes a whole lot of Ebony ingots

With whatever future content added I'd like to see some oriental designed armour, specifically ones with outragous masks and vivid color, using it in the current setting probably wouldn't meld well.

It would also be cool to have facial paint like the woman in feudal japan.
Saints Row 2 let you do this and it worked quite well.

How are u only a 29 with 95 hours in?

But that's crazy man. Iv sunk more hours in this game than any iv had all year. It's great

I spent allot of time on other things besides combat which is where you really level up in the game. I was smithing to the point where I can pretty much create every single armor and weapon in the game lol. I have done over 50 quests and other things, it's just I've taken my sweet time about it, it's just fun to mess around and see what you can get away with in the game. I'm literally doing a Palpatine and playing all sides against each other lol, crazy stuff, I love the Dragons, they're just awesome!:awesome::up:

Wasn't there some samurai-esque armor in Morrowind?

I just did the Forsworn quest in Markath. I did all of it while wearing the Nightingale Armor and pretended I was Skyrim's Batman. So much fun.

Can't remember it's been years.
I remember golden masks in vivec but I think that was based of Roman or Greeks.

The Blades armor in Oblivion is based on a skimmed down set of Samurai armor sans the face mask

And its been done to death.

I'd rather see their take on armor made by Saracens, Mongols and other civilizations.

Which is why i love Skyrim. The fur armor worn by the Bandits and the Forsworn really fits the locale.

I just completed the quest to add yet another Daedric weapon: the Mace of Molag Bal.

Look for the "haunted house" in Markath or wait for a Vigilant to approach you. The quest is pretty straightforward but the ending left a bad taste in my mouth which has you pretty much torturing a guy.

Murder in a game is one thing. To bludgeon a guy to death, resurrect him and bludgeon him again is kind of pushing it.

From what I can see it looks nothing like the armour posted above. Of the RPG's I have played, very few of them actually look like Japanes armour using vivid colors, outragous masks with facail hair and square pads. Come to think of it, I can't think of any barring maybe Jade Empire which is specifcally set in that type of setting.

Fur armour probaby been done to death compared to Japanese armoir. It's generally the first lower tier armour you get in an RPG. That or generic rusty brown metal armour.

I played a game years ago where you controlled a band of 7 or 8 Samurai in a Commandos style RPG, the armor design was ok but not exactly Mitsurugi (from SoulCalibur) kind of cool. I've nothing against Samurai or Chinese armor but having played a ton of J-RPGs and Dynasty/Samurai Warriors, I've seen how outlandish some of their designs are.

In general, RPGs set in this type of game usually include armor generally known Hellenistic to Medieval European history. Look at the City guards and their chain mail armor which was probably heavily worn circa 12th Century with their and compare them to the armor worn by the Imperial Legion which is heavily based on Roman Legion stuff, significantly older than what other armors appear in the game.

As compared to other armors developed and worn by men of war of different civilizations like this little Mughal beauty no doubt based off a design by Rajput warriors, named called the "Coat of Ten Thousand Nails":

Or this Ming Dynasty/Mongol design:

I was very much into Osprey Publishing's Men-at-Arms series illustrated by the late and great Angus McBride whose uber-detailed artwork really brought out a sense of difference in much of these armors. You should really check out his work.

there a lot more different and unique armors created throughout history but game makers always seem to fall back onto the same bunch of set pieces. Kind of gets old after a while.

Samurai armor? Umm... no thanks. It doesn't mesh with the world of Skyrim at all.

Well the blade armour looks like samurai armour, and that's in the game, so..... :P

The Oblivion Blades armor resembled it, but the Skyrim version doesn't look like it. I had serious problem with it looking like that in Oblivion, which is why I never wore it. It just doesn't fit, at all. There's no Tamriel equivalent of Japan, unless you count some version of elves as Asian or Japanese? I haven't seen a single High Elf or Dark elf running around in samurai armor.
