The Ebony Armor looks good, except, no matter what you wear on your head, your neck is exposed ruining the look.

I'm still wearing my Dwarven armor. Easily my favorite in the game so far, and probably my favorite from all of the games so far as well. Which is a pretty big complement as I think all of the armor in Skyrim is pretty awesome.

If you like the Nightingale Hood but have mostly worn Heavy Armor, use it with a full set of Ebony Armor. Looks great, all it needs is the cape.

That's a looks great. I'm going to use this set up for a bit.

I've been thinking of creating an Argonian character called Sharp-As-Knives. Not sure if I want him to be Rogue-type or Warrior-type. I've never been into the Mage/Sorcerer type.

An Argonian with that name sounds like a Rogue if that helps you decide.

I'm kind of disappointed at the lack of Argonians and Khajiit. There should have been a Khajiit in the Dark Brotherhood.

I found this on another forum.

Hey Guys. I did a little crafting Research in Skyrim this weekend and figured you min-maxers like me might like to see how far it can go... Here are my results:

TLDR: 2469 Armor, 3199 Two Handed Damage, 16,452 Damage Sneak Attacks!

Armor / Weapons with no training:

Full Daedric Armor: 160 Armor
Daedric Bow: 24 Damage
Daedric Dagger: 20 Damage
Daedric Two Handed Sword: 26 Damage
Daedric One Handed Sword: 15 Damage

100 skill with Juggernaut 5, Well Fitted, Tower Of Strength, Matching Set and 5 Weapon Perks (13 Perk's Total)

Full Daedric Armor: 588 Armor
Daedric Bow: 103 Damage
Daedric Dagger: 33 Damage
Daedric Two Handed Sword: 72 Damage
Daedric One Handed Sword: 42 Damage

With Daedric Smithing Level 100 (Steel, Dwarven, Orcish, Ebony, Daedric: 5 Perks) (18 Perk's Total)

Full Daedric Armor: 1020 Armor
Daedric Bow: 114 Damage
Daedric Dagger: 90 Damage
Daedric Two Handed Sword: 129 Damage
Daedric One Handed Sword: 99 Damage

Level 100 Enchanting (5 X Enchanter, Insighful, Corpus, Extra Effect: 8 Perks) (26 Perk's Total)
With Level 100 Enchanted Smithing Gear and Using Store-bought Smithing Potions (+50 Smithing for 30 Seconds)

Full Daedric Armor: 1232 Armor
Daedric Bow: 141 Damage
Daedric Dagger: 117 Damage
Daedric Two Handed Sword: 210 Damage
Daedric One Handed Sword: 180 Damage

Level 100 Alchemy (5 X Alchemy, Physician, Benefactor: 7 Perks) (31 Perk's Total)
You can brew better + Enchanting and + Smithing Potions with Alchemy than you can with Smithing (Note you can eek out about 5-10% more by using Enchanting to Improve Alchemy and Alchemy to Improve Enchanting until your potions are +130% Smithing and +32% Enchanting. Your crafting gear is then +29% X 4 (instead of 25% from base enchanting). The potions make a huge difference.

Full Daedric Armor: 1647 Armor
Daedric Bow: 195 Damage
Daedric Dagger: 171 Damage
Daedric Two Handed Sword: 210 Damage
Daedric One Handed Sword: 180 Damage

At this level it looks like Daggers are the clear winner... but they don't benefit from enchants...

Gear fully Enchanted
4 X Weapon Enchants and 4 X Armor Enchants. (Note I used the +32% self made Enchanting Potion to Power the Enchants... if you don't do this, your results will be 20%ish lower)

Full Daedric Armor: 2175 Armor
Daedric Bow: 562 Damage
Daedric Dagger: 171 Damage - Too bad one handed enchants don't work for daggers... I guess sneak attacking with fully enchanted swords is better.
Daedric Two Handed Sword: 605 Damage
Daedric One Handed Sword: 518 Damage

Dual wielding One handed weapons seems to be the best for ***. They also seem to sneak attack for more.

Add 60 Second Weapon + Armor Potions
Custom Made Potions using my enchanted Alchemy gear: Last 60 seconds

Full Daedric Armor: 2469 Armor
Daedric Bow: 1242 Damage - So much the display reads 124!=P
Daedric Dagger: 393 Damage - I don't understand this one... but that is what it read
Daedric Two Handed Sword: 3199 Damage!
Daedric One Handed Sword: 2742 Damage

Dual wielding One handed weapons now clearly do the most damage followed by Two handed weapons than Weapon + shield. Daggers come in last. Sword Sneak Attack (16452) Dagger Sneak Attack (6288) Bow Sneak Attack (3726)
Pretty much, a one handed weapon sneak attack will kill almost anything at this damage level, even on master. A bow sneak attack will most likely one shot anything except for a boss dragon.

Conclusion:
Using 26 points to get these crafting feats seem to no-brainer for any min-maxer playing on Master's difficulty. They synergize incredibly well. Dual Wielding One handed weapons / Archery Seem to be the way to go for *** with Two handed weapons coming closely behind. Once you are this buffed, your hardest problem will be not accidentally killing your hireling.

If you don't like Daedric Armor you could use an Ebony Chest (That's what I do) This took me from 2175 Armor to 1793 Armor. Still Plenty of Armor. Light Dragon Armor (Less feat intensive when sneaking, but getting staggered hurts your melee ***) yields 1770 Armor.

Thanks for Reading!

I'm on the quest
to find the the Elder Scroll so I can be taught the Dragonrend shout. Can't wait!

I've finished the Dark Brotherhood, Companions, Thieves Guild (sorta) and Imperial Legion quests. I'm working on Daedra quests now.

lol man i got that by accident while i was just exploring and clearing out dungeons....im beating the game by accident!

I know glitches will happen. Some are random and don't really cause problems but I hate these glitches that prevent you from accomplishing quests.

After the Battle of Whiterun, you can't get into this guy's house to complete a Thieves Guild sidequest. So you have to tell Vex you don't want to do it. I was able to use the command console to put myself in the house, you can leave it without a problem.

I still can't go into Markarth without being hunted. I was in the area outside and exploring when a Bounty Collector came and started talking to me, I gave him gold to pay the Jarl of Markarth. He must have kept it because when I went back, they were still after me.

These bugs where you can't do one quest before another really should have been fixed before its release.

For the Thieves' Guild I sorta got myself arrested outside of Markath by a more amiable Reach Guard thanks to my little killing spree at the end of the Forsworn Conspiracy. Got the stuff with Madanach out of the way and finished the Silver Lining special job for the Guild.

I'm trying to figure out how the side-quests for the Thieves' Guild works. I keep doing as many jobs between Vex and Devlin in hopes of getting another special job. I'm guessing the jobs end when more merchants and stuff start setting up shop in the Flagon but its long and kind of repetitive.

Yeah, I keep doing Vex/Devlin jobs in order to 'increase the Guild's Status in other cities' but they keep giving me jobs in Riften. Forget Riften guys, YOU ARE ALREADY KNOWN IN RIFTEN!

Has anyone run into the glitch where you can't complete the sidequest with Greta in Solitude? Very annoying.

Five quests from each in a town other than Riften gets you the special in that town.

There's also a person in one of the taverns in Whiterun that buys wood.

Did a fun quest last night. Came across this fort (that didn't show up on the map). Some ugly witch was in a cage and offered to give me something if I helped her take back the fort. She guided me through the traps and we fought the other witch. After she gave me the staff, I killed her.

I decided to choose it for the same reason. In one of the main quests [blackout]when you break into the Thalmoor rep's office in Solitude, one of the documents you steal says they want the Stormcloaks to win.[/blackout]

Of course they do, because Ulfric is a moron.

I did that too. Pretty easy and I'm surprised the hargraven didn't betray me.

Yes and Yes. But you've got to find a couple or more Ebony Ingots and have a high Smithing Level.

Its an awesome sword against the Undead, killing one with the sword causes the target to blow up (the idea is that the splash damage affects other Undead in the area but it does damage you as well) and causes the less powerful Undead to flee.

Plus it has this extremely awesome effect where it glows a bright yellow-gold if a hostile is nearby. Very cool.

hey thanks!

does it matter what level I do the quest to get the Dawnbreaker sword?

would it be best to wait till I'm a higher level before getting the sword so that it will have higher stats?
