But you are talking about two completely different things. You are talking about COD attracting people to playing it's game. That contributes to sales, which has nothing to do with the game getting game of the year. It might contribute to the games commercial success, but it's purely a matter of which game has more vocal support, and so far, all evidence has been pointing to Skyrim. COD might always be bringing in a consistent number of young, non-gamers, buying COD because their friends play it, but I think we can all agree the gaming community, journos and gamers alike, have been all about Skyrim for the last 2 months. In fact, I would say for the most part, COD has majorly only really been referenced regarding the COD vs BF competition, which raises another issue of whether BF could get some GOTY nominations over COD.
