Ha, Don't worry about it. If there's one thing you don't want to involve yourself with it's the broken American politics/media system.

I also made a Kajiit (sp?) and I love that they sound like Puss in Boots. Not sure why I've never noticed that until now.

Why would someone in the gaming community intentionally send the idiots at Fox news a video so that they can pick it up and do a propaganda hit piece?

Why would you do that?

I don't get it either. It's like he's trying to help all the bills trying to ban video games and make us like Australia.

Im going with the answer of 'said individual is an idiot'. Yea, thats my final answer.

For the entertainment value I guess. Even if they picked the story up, it's not like it's going to actually amount to anything other than a lot of angry, blustery, ignorant ranting, which will be forgotten and never spoken of again after they move on to another story or go to commercial.

They should of sent the piece to that little boy over at MSNBC. I like him, he wears nice suits.

Best case scenario if they picked up the story, it causes a lot of unnecessary aggravation and grief. Worst case scenario, game gets taken off shelves.

It's a stupid thing to do.

Yeah, that's not going to happen.
There was a problem with Oblivion and the ability to mod the game to make women topless a few years back. When the game was released, it was rated T. Then it was rated M. When I got the game, there was a sticker placed over the rating on the packaging. The box says T, but the plastic packaging said M.

Skyrim is already M, and I've seen some WAY worse stuff in an M rate game.

I can already see him, sitting on the edge of his couch, waiting for the segment. It airs, it's over and then he dies a little inside, because his little fifteen seconds of fame is over and they never even said his name or email.

So.. Let me get this straight.. Because I'm not a Liberal and I DO watch Fox New (due to it being aimed more at the Right... unlike MSNBC or CNN) I'm an idiot?

Yes, yes you are. If you are willingly watching something that is portraying a shamelessly biased view of the worlds events. All news and current affairs should be impartial, not highly editorialised to match your belief and demonise others. It's really not that hard to find quality, reliable and non-biased news. It might just, shock horror, involve some actual reading.

The most unbiased news outlet is The Onion. ALL the major networks in the US are biased, Fox News is just the poster child for it.

Anyway, back to Skyrim...

Anyway, I'm finding it easy to fight Dragons now. I've found some other NPC's harder to fight than dragons now. :csad:

So, I've been watching a a few videos here and there, debating on whether I want to wait a while to pick up the game or not. Then I found out you can become a werewolf or a vampire....and that sold me. Not slaying dragons and being an adventurer, but turning into a werewolf and doing scenes from Underworld 3. :awesome:

You DO know that now, thanks to the internet, you don't HAVE to rely on your biased mainstream media in the US, right?

I've never run into a werewolf in the wild, but I've run into a few vampires and they're poor thralls.
The werewolves in the game are actually good people, and you can choose to cure yourself of being a werewolf. But I don't see why you would need to. Unlike in Morrowind, you have full control of when you can be a werewolf. Just don't do it in a town.

The difference is, most people go to Onion for comedy and satire, most people go to FOX for news. For news, people should go to neither.

Holy ****, I had to double check my tab, I thought I had accidentally wandered into the politics forum and not a thread on Skyrim.

That guy has the most peaceful voice I've ever heard, I kept expecting him to paint a happy little tree.

I used to paint happy little trees...
...but then I took a lymphatic cancer to the knee.

That guy is way calm. Awesome though.

This will be the only thing i say on the matter, as this thread has already gone far too off topic, but i guarantee you that the news you partake in is somewhat biased towards your beliefs(and i personally challenge you to prove me wrong which i HIGHLY doubt you will be able to do), which is precicesly why you watch/read/listen to it. Humans have an internal desire to be validated. Its why networks like Fox and MSNBC exisit. People want to listen to or read something that agrees with the way they view certain subjects. Most people who get their news outside of Fox or MSNBC feel they are getting true unbalanced news when they actually arent, they are getting news that lines up with their beliefs, which is why they continue to go to that site or read that newspaper etc. The difference is that its more than likely far more subtle than either MSNBC or Fox. Its far too difficult to remain impartial, ecspecially when it comes to writing about social affairs or politics.

Im not saying that there is no impartial news outlet, im just saying no one here bothers finding them. You've all made up your political or social slant and are sticking to it. None of you are truly concerned with being impartial.

It's called confirmation bias. I'm not even gonna hop into this debate coz I think nowadays right/left wing is just an illusion lol but have at it I guess.

I bought the house in Riften, was planning to make that my main home... and then one of the mannequins in the basement moved. It was in its regular place when I went upstairs, I came back down and it was standing in the doorway. Yeah... that move ain't happening.

Haha. Ghosts.

How do u get the house in Solitude? I thought u talke to the Jaral but when i do, i get no quest lines or anything

I have no clue. :o You prolly just gotta do stuff for the people, there are a bunch of those little fetch quests you can do for folks at the Bards college.
