I saw a guy selling Skyrim back at Gamestop the other day. I wanted to punch him in the throat and stick an arrow in his knee. Even the Gamestop employee couldn’t believe what he did.

Haha, yea when I used to work at GameStop we'd have people trade in games that I couldn't believe they would trade in and within like a week of them coming out no less. I always did my best to make those people feel like idiots, telling them how much money they were wasting etc.

LOL why would you trade in a good game so soon? You can probably get at least $40 or $50 just on Craigslist (except PC since that's yours and only yours forever).

That video also makes me realize even though I have both Mass Effect 1 and 2 on Steam, I will probably never play them.

You wont ever play them AGAIN or you just won't ever play them at all?

I will probably never get around to playing them because I spend more time buying games on Steam than I do playing said games.

Sounds like this

I'm just curious if this was one of the lamer videos.... cuz I might have laughed out of pity like once.

About my other question, are there just so many buyable spells in Skyrim that it's no big deal you can't make your own or what?

Just bought the game! Can't wait til it arrives! Does anyone know if that issue where if you install the game on xbox 360 it looses definition has been fixed yet?

Yeah, texture stuff has been fixed, according to Bethesda. Whether that means it is or isn't is unknown. When I encountered it, uninstalling fixed it anyway. Also I played 4 days in a row last week and there were a total of 5 title updates in those days, one of which was a nice big official patch. I think you're safe :)

Wow, smaller fonts AND much, much, much more clutter? What an improvement!

Menu is not a problem on the consoles at all.

Menu designed for console isn't problem on console. What a huge revelation!

I'm confused as to how there is more clutter. More information is on screen in a more intuitive manner taking up less space.

Sadly, I have played the game with an xbox360 pad, it was awful. The menu is more interested in looking visually nice than being functional. It's a generally sign of bad design when less being shown actually equals more faffing about. I'm sorry, but this is the Kim Kardashian of game menus.

You see that one minute of scrolling? On the menu above, practically all of that information will be displayed instantly with iconcs as well as a filter search to get right to the item. That's because the persom above clearly has a basic idea of what he is doing while Bethesdas design still remains questionable.

This is a very basic and important thing. I don't have this problem with Shogun 2 (wonderful game) that has far more complex menu's or World Of Warcraft which in the later levels, displays far much more information. All of it, easily comprehensible and accessible. Because when it comes down to it, these are just better designed games. I think once you get past the hype you will agree with me. I'm really thankful to whoever made this menu. I think they done a wonderful job, just wonderful. It's conforting to know gamers are out in the wilderness passionate enough to use there own free time to benefit everyone else. Wonderful.

There's a searchbar and sort by weight or value option... As someone who keeps jewellery, soul gems, books, weapons/armour, potions, etc. in seperate places that interface is way more functional. It's a pain in the ass everytime I put a Ruby in my Smithing cabinet by accident and I have to scroll through all my ingots, pelts, leather and ore to take it back out.

The interface works on consoles but it's not good.

The way the menu navigates and the layout is not a problem at all. Whether console or keyboard, it's a few taps. But guess what, like ANY RPG that you can play, if you keep your inventory cluttered with literally a hundred potions, it WILL take a long time to scroll through your options. I'm pretty sure in that instance, the fault does not lie with the menu so much as it does with the person incapable of competent inventory management.

Also I don't get how it DOESN'T work on PC. I understand how it could be better, like the search functionality would make sense since you've got a keyboard there, but as far as how it functions now, keyboard or controller, it's still just simple presses of the directional pad. It's not that difficult and it's certainly easier to navigate than many of the previous Bethesda games, especially Fallout 3.

What? lol so even though the game focuses a lot on looting, it's the player's fault if their inventory gets too cluttered?

This.
That video posted above is an absurd example. If you keep a thousand potions it's gonna be difficult to navigate. I haven't had a single problem with the UI. I know where to look for what I need when I play the game. Not a problem at all.

Why are you arguing Wolvieboy? You know Spock nitpicks the s**t out of every video game.

It's a flawed menu. Just because it works perfect for you doesn't mean there isn't a more functional alternative.
