The Falmer are the ones that really creeps me out. They're like this game's feral ghouls...only deadlier...and creepier....ferals ghouls with magic powers, and sharp weaponries!

They remind me of mix of the Goblins from Moria and the crawlers from the Descent. When they climb out of the walls, that's when I get freaked out. Oh, and NEVER go caving right after watching that movie...

The above is one way they could improve more mundane animal enemies. Ppl were mentioning wanting less spiders, bears, and wolves, but all 3 can be great creatures. Just mess with the atmosphere they create. Like the above mention of the Falmer.

Have Spiders move fast and jerky like in real life, and crawl around on ceilings or pop out of holes like trap door spiders. A giant spider can rival nearly any fantastical creature if done right. As for the wolves, I like them more than Oblivion's rats, but they do die waaay too easy to be seen as anything but a pest. And bears...you just like them,or don't, lol. Personally I like bears, and think they're intimidating enough. I just think like with a lot of creatures in Skyrim, they became too easy too fast.

Not saying I'm against more amounts of fantasy creatures though.

The Dark Brotherhood quest line is officially my favorite as of this moment. Pretty much everything I could want out of a quest line.

Yea the armour you can get is great too. Make sure you do the fortune teller sidequest.

The Dark Brotherhood quest is always one of the best. Better than the last Assassin's Creed game even :woot:

I just finished the main quest and I'm kind of crushed. I feel like it's time to play something other than Skyrim now...but what????

LOL, I was playing this morning and look what I came across. What was funny was that everytime I entered and left a house, it would be in a new position. How freaked out would you be if you came home and saw this? LOL

HAHAHA!!! That last one looks like he REALLY likes that house.:cwink:

I wish there was a way to mix races. Because I was thinking about it, and if I was in the game, I'd be a Breton and an Imperial, if the real world equivalent are British and Roman/Italian. I really wanted to make a character that was me, but I can't pick which race to go with, at least looks wise.

You could have half elf/half human characters, maybe even half orc/human characters. The only ones that won't work are Argonian and Khajit.

Are you saying my Khajiit and his Argonian wife shouldn't be allowed to be married? :o:oldrazz:

No, just that there's no way to make a child. But this is a fantasy world, and somehow the Dragon and Donkey from Shrek made babies, so why the heck not. A Lizard Cat person would look pretty sweet actually.

The greatest underwater thieves in Tamriel. :awesome:

"The Dark Brotherhood Forever" was kind of a let-down. I thought the Dark Brotherhood was all ready to send me off on a new quest line, but it was just some generic targets.

But I did the Dark Brotherhood line around level 50 with a Destruction-focused mage and, man, I came down on the Katariah with unholy vengeance. I'd bust open doors and thunderbolt the s*** out of everyone inside. Even better, I was planning to start on the Stormcloak line after the Dark Brotherhood, so from my character's perspective, if I weren't already leaning toward the Stormcloaks before, I sure as hell would be now. Die, Imperial scum! :argh:

Lol, this one had me sweating for a bit. Was checking out this thread on my phone. Saw my post quoted, couldn't view the Youtube link, and ppl lol'ing saying best post ever. Thought I had said something moronic without realising it and was being owned hard, heh.

On a side not, dual wielding magic (destruction) is so OP'd IMO. I'm stun locking Dragon's, Giants, and Mammoth's to death, and they can't do jack about it. It usually took a little strategy and some arrows to take giants down on my melee char.

Not to say melee didn't go the same route with 1-hit kills later on. Which was purely epic during the town sieges in the civil war quest. Running around in third person mowing down waves of guards.

I wish there was a parry/counter system when it came to sword fighting. I'd love for my character to be able to pull off some bad ass counters.

What about the current counter system would you want changed?

Id like something along the lines of Assassins Creed. Like if you time your counter correctly, there would be some kind of counter kill. I mean its almost there in this game. Iv been able to block bash an enemy before he attacks and while he's stumbling i was able to go into one of those cool slo mo kills. Id just like for them to expand on that slightly. I mean i think the system here is fun, they could just add more to it. More fluidity to the sword fights would be cool. Sword fights the likes you see in any period piece action film.

Bit off topic, but I recommend checking out the Kingdoms of Amalur demo.

It's not that far off topic. The lead designer of Oblivion is the executive producer of Amalur, and it has a lot of similar mechanics.

Wouldn't that make it too easy though?

As you said the biggest difference is instant kills are not guaranteed. As it is now a skilled melee fighter can get though most encounters losing little to no health. I would also say that in my experience at higher levels a significant amount of melee duels are very short sometimes only taking two moves. Enemy runs at you doing a power attack, you counter with a bash, they are staggered, you then perform a power attack which a lot of times is a finishing blow.

I do agree that combat lacks a certain amount of fluidity but I'm not exactly sure how they would go about implementing it in a first person perspective.

Out of curiosity, what perspective do you generally fight in?

Eh good points.

Iv always felt the combat in Assassins Creed was too easy as i got so adept at countering everything. But it looked so good i didn't care how easy it was, because, well i was a master Assassin, it shouldn't be that hard. Same can kinda be applied here. Bad ass Dragonborn, combat shouldn't be too difficult. But i deff see what you mean.

I play the game primarily in the 3rd person, but i switch every now and then.
