I save alot as well. A damn lot.
I'm uninstalling Skyrim from my PC *waits for collective gasp*
It was mostly that this one big mod I used became ****** with the latest release but I didn't have an older one to go back to. I had also had removed some so older saves get a message that stuff may be missing. Just figured I'd rather start from scratch and only get mods I really want.
I compressed all my old saves into a RAR file. Honestly, I really don't have much desire to go back to them again. I'd already done all the fun stuff in them.
Hmmm..even if your saves got that warning, it should work just fine.I got it all the time.
And just out of curiousity, whic big mod were you using? and was this big mod available before the creation kit came out?
I fought him at level 55 and it wasn't much harder. I used two health potions and basically just held down Lightning Storm.
I know they should work fine, I'm just too impatient to click Yes after loading a save.
The big mod I'm referring to is Tytanis Ultimate Mod. The change I really hated was that it incorporated a mod that allowed you to decraft items. For example, it would allow you to turn Fur Armor into 3 pieces of Leather. The latest version changed it so you would turn it into Leather Scraps and have to make them into Leather. Not a huge deal, but I hated the extra step since I never exploited it before.
The mod creator also kept adding mods but never explained how you unlock them. Just became a mess and it's not been updated in months. His goal was also to try to make some co-op in it which I didn't want.
Right now I'm actually trying to make a mod. What I'd like to make is this helmet from the Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones series, it's the helmet of King Robert which has large antlers on it:

I want to use either the Helm of Yngol or Ancient Nord Helmet and replace the horns with the Large Antler ingredients assuming I can do it. Right now all I've done is duplicated the Steel Horned Helmet (couldn't find the other 2) and created it as a separate item with different recipe (and misspelled name which I'll fix)

That's the main problem with most Skyrim big mods. An example is the war in Skyrim...which is a pretty big mod that works kinda like MMM for FO3.But there were bugs since it was created before the CK came out, and the author just keep adding more features instead of working on the bugs.
If i were you, i'd use the Helm of Yngol for that mod, since the antler on that helm is pointing upward already. Have you use the creation kit already? i only browsed through it once so far...seems similiar enough to the G.E.C.K.
I finally got around to beating the main storyline. It was underwhelming. Dealing with Alduin was much simpler than it should have been. Perhaps I should have tackled him before I reached lv 70 :/
I really hate when modders just keep adding more instead of staying focused and making it work. That's one reason why I mostly use texture mods, no real need to ever update them if you don't like where it's going.
The Helm of Yngol does look like it'd work best. This is the first time I'll use any creation kit. I have no idea if what I want to do is even possible. I'll probably post on a modding message board when I have the free time.
Yeah, I enchanted my armor so that Destruction spells cost me 0 magicka to cast. So basically, as long as I watched my health, I could've fought Alduin all damn day without a problem.I did a bunch of enchantments on my armor and weapons so my warhammer does close to 300 damage. Poor Alduin didn't stand much of a chance
I found my wife! I returned to Whiterun after a month or two of wandering around and found her sitting in the inn having a drink.
LOL is your wife janessa? i remember it took Lydia about a week to walk from Riften to our house in Whiterun.
I'm curious if they're set to essential while traveling. I know that NPC travel by waypoints, and if you happen to be in the same cell as they are while they're travelling, they will also encounters hostiles etc in that area...but my Lydia had about 80 or 90 combat skills and can cast dragon priest by the time we get married, so i wasn't worriedt:
My wife is Uthgerd The Unbroken. We caught a carriage from Riften to Whiterun, walked to the house, I went to sleep and then when I woke she was gone. I assumed she'd gone to work, but after a week I hadn't seen her around.
The funny thing is, I had read there is a bug where Uthgerd can just disappear so that's what I figured happened. TheCorpulent1 had suggested checking the inn (where I first met Uthgerd) but I was off adventuring at the time. Today I rolled back into the city an lo and behold, there she was sitting with a tankard of mead in the Whiterun inn.
Thanks Corpulent1!
LOL..Uthgerd...you like 'em butch eh?
I only ever married lydia. I was considering janessa...but it feels awkward, coz she doesn't feel like the marrying type.
I was wondering...you said that your current character is around 100 hour? is that the most you've ever spent on a character? mine is usually around 60-70 hours, then i get the itch to try a new one.
Another thing, do you also create a background story fro your characters? i dobecause i don't think that you can spend more than 50 hours on a character without creating a story for them...or like they say, RP-ing.
hehe so i'm not the only one. Okay, please excuse the cheez, i'm not a proffesional writer, but this is the story i had when i created my 1st character
My first character is a Bosmer female. In my head she's a an adventurer, looking to join her brothers in arms, the Thalmor, on Skyrim.
But what she found, was more than she bargained for...a land ravaged by civil war, and the Thalmor, turned to be something else entirely, not the heroes she was expecting.
So now, disillusion and without a real purpose, she's slowly trying to build a life for herself in this strange land, until a local legend about something called a 'dragonborn'
-a mythical being with the power to either save or destroy the world, is about to turn her world upside down again
