My Dragon Born's story:

My dragon born character is an Imperial thief. After getting too big of a bounty in the Imperial city, he fled to Skyrim where he was captured while crossing the border. At first he rejected his fate as Dragon Born, refusing to answer the call of the Gray Beards. He traveled to Riften and joined the Thieves Guild.

After rising to head of the Thieves Guild he was raiding old tombs for treasure and came across the Bloodlet Throne where he was infected and turned into a vampire. As a vampire he did evil things, completing some Daedric quests and joining the Dark Brotherhood. After killing the Emperor (who was calm and accepting of his fate), the Dragon Born's humanity peaked through and overpowered his vampiric demon. He killed the treacherous member of the Elder Council as an act of vengeance for the Emperor, left the Dark Brotherhood (attacking all members and getting suspended) and then sought out a cure for vampirism.

Once cured and human again, following the Emperor's example, my Dragon Born accepted his fate and answered the call of the Gray Beards and the rest is history.

Oh, and he hates spiders. :O

Niiice!

Got a nice 'redemption' theme going there...always my favourite.:yay:

Now let's see more dragonborn stories!

I just got a full ebony set of armor, with shield and weapon for my Orc warrior. All right.

Very good! I'm with 'Hoss, I like the redemption angle a lot too. I like that it took the wise words of the Emperor to give him the change of heart. Did the Brotherhood characters die when you attacked them, or did they stay alive because they were still 'essential'?

I'd love to hear more stories of people's characters. I'll throw my hat in the ring too!... (I'll try to keep it brief)

My fellow is a Nord, born in Skyrim but his family moved to a small village in Blackmarsh when he was very young. At around age 9-10 his village was overrun by goblins, his family killed in the massacre. As he grew older the lad worked hard and trained hard, into adulthood he got a reputation as one of Blackmarsh's top monster hunters.

By the time he was in his late 30's the professional beast hunter was getting hired all over Blackmarsh to take care of farmers with Troll problems and villages plagued by all manner of nastiness. He'd taken Hircine, the Daedric lord of The Hunt as his lord.

It all changed of course, when rumors of Dragons returning to the land of his birth made their way to Blackmarsh. If the rumors were true a dragon would be the ultimate glory to hunt, so he left for Skyrim to find glory, death, or both.

Man, some of u guys have great back stories. I didn't put much thought in to mine. My dude was a descendent of the Hero of the Oblivion Crisis(a fact he was constantly reminded of), born and raised as a nord he didn't quite fit in as he didn't have that desire to battle and fight wars the way all great Nords did, altho don't get it twisted, he was easily the most skilled archer and swordsman in his clan. While out on a hunt one afternoon he was struck by an unseen foe and when he came to, he was shackled and on his way to an execution. Of course tho, that execution never happened and my character was sent on a path that would forever change his life.

Yea, I'm gonna go play Skyrim now.

Niiceeee....i got the witcher vibe from your story.I think i'm gonna try that angle on my next character. I posted my character story a page back btw.

And projectpat2280, good job too!

Anyway, i was thinking...since there's probably not much else to talk about Skyrim, how bout renaming this thread to something like Bethesda games or something like that so we can also talk about FO3 and FO:NV in this thread...since i'm sure that many of us who play Skyrim, also played FO3 and FO:NV..and Oblivion of course

..And yeah i know that there are threads already about those games, but they're buried so deep and it would be nice to be able to talk about them on one thread.

...so what do you guys think?

I read your story, even commented! :D

I like the idea, I haven't played FO3 is ages but there's always plenty to talk about. Plus talking about Skyrim naturally encompasses the other Elder Scrolls games into conversation as well, a Bethesda thread would work well, good idea. :yay:

I played FO3 just a few weeks ago when i took a break from Skyrim.I just missed the capital wasteland:woot:

Thing is...i'm a VERY casual gamer. I only ever played a handfull of games, bought my first console EVER in '08 and 75% of all the games i played ever since are Beth games:oldrazz:

So it would be nice to be able to talk about 'em here...and not derailing the thread, so to speak.

I guess it's up to Matt, he's the mod-man around these parts I think...I haven't been around for all that long in the great scheme of things, so correct me if I'm wrong! :)

I would love to hear about people's Fallout characters on top of the Skyrim ones, that's for sure. I have two FO3 character's I'm quite proud of...damn, all the Fallout talk has me wanting to play again!

I have no interest in Fallout whatsoever. So I'd prefer this to stay focused on Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls.

Yea I don't think we need to group all of Bethesdas games together.

Fair enough fellas, looks like you'll have to dredge up that old FO3 topic after all 'Hoss! :D

I mean if you have something to say about Fallout, just bring it up here. If the thread gets off topic, so what? As soon as there is some Skyrim news, it'll be right back on track.

Ahh, it's cool. Still plenty of Skyrim stuff to talk about. :) For example...

I've long had the sneaking suspicion that one of, if not the first, DLC will have to do with the Thalmor and their Aldrmeri Dominion. What I'm *hoping* for is some sort of full scale invasion that will make the Civil War look like a slap-fight (although it seems more likely we'll be given a new territory, but I digress). If that turns out to the case and the Thalmor invade Skyrim, what would you fine fellows think of a kind of fugitive angle? The Legion, under the thumb of the Thalmor, turn on you and a huge bounty is place on your head. Guards stationed at your house (if you have one), the whole army out to get you. Bring in an underground resistance network, secret tunnels, the works. I kind of like the idea.

The other thing that might happen, although it might be a little too ambitious (but not impossible) is that they'll give us Morrowind. They have the gate for it right there which seems a little ominous but that could just be a big tease. It would definitely blow everyone's minds though, and be pretty historical in the gaming world. Unlikely, but I wouldn't put it past them.

Okay then, guess the masses has spoken. Fair enough. Looks like it's just gonna be me and 'ol James over there.

So, this one for him, taken from his fav location, the Pitt, just a few weeks ago.

And to keep this somewhat on-topic, since the guy from NZ, i totally demand that his next character to be Xena the warrior princess!:oldrazz:

That looks like Sheva Alomars outfit from Resident Evil 5.

I never did play the Pitt from Fallout 3. Id love to go back and play it, but i doubt i could go back to that engine after playing Skyrim.

It was Sheva outfit, and Sydney on the background is using Ada Wong combat outfit. It's part of a resident evil 5 mod i got from a site that doesn't exist anymore now.

And it does felt a bit...off, playing FO3 after spending so much time on Skyrim. First day i played FO3 after Skyrim, i got reminded why i love FO3 so much...

I was walking to the Super Duper mart with Clover.By the time i got there, there was this big almighty gunfight between the raiders and a couple of scavengers. Not long after, the Talon showed up and join the fight. I was enjoying the scene when out of the corner of my eye, saw a kid running towards me...it's that annoying kid, bryan Wilks...and then the Talon and the raiders saw him too...and they start shooting at him!

So i just stood there, flabbergasted coz i've forgotten how chaotic things can be there, when i heard Clover suddenly said: 'This place sucks!'

Nearly died laughing...from that moment on, got no more problem getting into the game again:yay:

I walked by that hunter today, the guy who sits in the thermal hot pools in the east with two female hunters. As I strolled by I stopped briefly and looked at him, sitting there in the hot water and I wondered...I wondered how this guy spends his days. He's got a camp set up...I can only assume it goes a little something like this:

-Wake up, eat.
-Go hunting (He probably only needs to do this once every few days)
-Sit in the thermal pools until dinner.
-Eat.
-Go back in the pool (assuming he leaves the pool to eat)
-Go to sleep.

Amongst that daily routine I'm guessing he also has a whole lot of sex. It was after considering this, and continuing on my merry way, it occurred to me that this hunter, this guy who sits in the hotpools all freakin' day while I'm delving into gods-knows-what horrors, is without a doubt the smartest guy in Skyrim. That guy? That guy has it made.

Haha where is that dude at?

It's not marked on the map, so I'll do my best to describe it.

On the far east of the map, about midway between Windhelm and Riften there is place called Bonestrewn Crest, it's home to a dragon who can often be seen doing circles around the small hill he resides over there. Directly WEST of Bonestrewn Camp are a bunch of natural hot pools, if you wander through them (heading west from Bonestrewn) you should bump into the guy and his two female friends.

Their tents are on a tiny island, although all the water is only about knee high. The three of them are usually lounging around in the water looking very relaxed.

Keep me posted if my directions are any good! :woot:

LOL!

Probably laughing at you with his two hoochies everytime you walk by too...

Though they CAN get killed if they wander too far from their camp while chasing a rabbit or something.

Haha nice, ima go searching for them later.

What weapons do you fellows use primarily?

I've got 98 in One-Handed so my duel scimitars that I've been wielding since almost the start of the game are virtually unstoppable at close range.

That said, I've been making crazy use leveling up my Archery skill. It's become so useful I can go through most dungeons without using anything else, even at close range it's quick enough to take down enemies that require multiple arrows. On two or three occasions I've been rushed by three bad guys at once and managed to take them down before they reach me. Seeing a bandit drop right at your feet as the final arrow strikes is very satisfying.

I also carry a glass dagger, but I rarely use it because I only have it for the throat slitting animation and it doesn't seem to trigger most of the time because I haven't got the Sneak perks yet.

I primarily use an Ebony Bow. I can one shot most enemies. If they get in close then i usually break out the Skyforge Steel Sword. Every now and then ill use dual Imperial Swords.
