Elder Scrolls V - Part 6

That would be cool, too. Personally, I'm really intrigued as to exactly where the plots are going to be located. My first playthrough was a Nord warrior guy, and after beating all the quests and the main story, I figured I'd have him retire to a quiet life with a wife and stuff.

But, the only option for houses for the most part is housing within a city, which I thought was totally out of character for the dude I was playing. I'm hoping Hearthfire offers some more solitary house options, like a cabin in the wilderness or something.

Also, I would be all over future house DLC's if they made anything remotely similar to the Wizard's Tower in Oblivion. That tower was a lot of fun.

Yea, from looking at the videos it seems there might be an option for a more secluded piece of land, which like you, fits my character better as well.

For the first time iv been thinking of starting a new character, but Iv got like 150 hours into my orig dude and i just dont know if i wanna go through all of that again. I mean theres still a lot of stuff i haven't done and seen and all of the decisions iv made, id make the same way again. Except for maybe the DB. I would of liked to of seen that quest line, but dammit the b***h kidnapped me in the middle of the night, i got angry and turned into a damn werewolf. She shoulda known better.

who said they're forcing you to buy it?
dont like it, fine, dont buy it.

Yeah, who did say that? Oh right, no one.

If I don't like it, I won't buy it -I'm still allowed to share my thoughts on it, however.

:wow:

I think my personal record for one character is around 80 hours...

Anyway back to the houses...a while ago, there was a very popular mod for FO3 called RTS that lets you build a village anywhere you want on the Capital Wasteland..

At first, i was hoping that this DLC is gonna be like that...that itll let you build your house anywhere too, but then i remember one incident i've had with one of the house i've built with RTS.

I've built a house near Big town, completely forgottten the fact that...there's deathclaw that always spawn rigt in that spot. So one night, i came home, opened the door, and came face to face with a pissed off Deathclaw in my living room!

So i guess that's why Heartfire doesn't let you build a house anywhere you like:oldrazz:

I don't have to take that from you! * starts brawl*

What other achievements could they have done, though? There's not much you can do with a build-a-house DLC achievement wise. I imagine each plot and house pieces, etc. cost gold, so unless you're rich as balls off the bat it'll take at least some effort to save up enough gold to buy that many places.
You missed my point. The achievemnets just highlight how boring I overall find the description of the DLC to be

Haha! Alright! *smashes chair over someone's back*

Does Dawnguard kinda reminds you of the Pitt? both Arkon and ishran...are not sympathetic characters, infact...they are both a-holes!

The only likeable character is Serana...oh! and that Florentius guy, the priest of Arkay. He makes me laugh!

So basically, Bethesda hate fun? lol that sounds awesome!

`Well...if you considered getting a face full of claws as soon as you open the door to be fun:oldrazz:

You should try RTS if you still playing FO3, though. It's fun!

It's called real time sttler mod. Should still be on Nexus.

I told my wife to move back to her place. Only problem is i can't remember where her place is. Oh well, I'm considering 'dat a divorce'. I really need this Hearthfire pack tho. I was just wondering around the world last night thinking i needed a new place. I always really liked Riverwood, maybe there will be a plot close to that. I also found an awesome spot next to a river, but theres no telling if a plot will be available there.

I think Dawnguard is a bit more clear cut in who the 'good' and 'bad' guys are, but it definitely shares similarities with The Pitt.

The only thing that trips me up about Dawnguard from an RPG perspective is, I cannot think of a (good) reason for my power-hungry mage character to join the Dawnguard. I can definitely see him teaming up with Harkon (sp?) and being a Vampire Lord, but why would he bother joining a group of vampire hunters?

The only thing I can think of is, he'd join in the hopes of seizing an opportunity to gain more power, but if that was his reasoning he'd just join every organization there is. It's a little too convoluted of a reason, but it's all I've got haha

thats one thing i really love about this game... the environments created for this game make me want to just want to sell everything and live out in the woods

Thanks for the tip, I'm mostly playing New Vegas right now with the Project Mojave mod though but I'll queue that up. I think there's a similar mod to Hearthfire that's already up on the Nexus btw.

I also think that , for Dawnguard, it'll make much more sense to be playing it early ( before you've become archmage, head of the thieves guild etc)

Basically, from my own RPG prespective, it'll make more sense to join the whole..Dawnguard conflict while you're still relatively unkwon so to speak.

Hearthfire DLC sounds awesome, though I now feel stupid for buying the house in Solitude (& all the decorations) today.

I'll probably get both Dawnguard & Hearthfire tomorrow night.

I'm waiting until late October until I get Dawnguard, it seems fitting.

Wanted to set them to my download queue this morning but I think XBox Live is down.
