The best glitch was the one that lets you hire more than one companions on FO3. I was sooo excited when i've found that one out. I thought; "Now i can finally take Charon, Clover and Sydney with me to that deathtrap otherwise known as Adams airforce base!"

Now, on Skyrim, i've got about 14 companions. But i've only take 2-3 with me at a time. On FO3, with some mods running, i HAVE to take at least 4 with me or i'll die all the time. I don't care how badass your character are, fighting 15 orso Feral Reavers on your own will not end well for you...

I had Lydia around with me for the first few levels of the game and then she disappeared on me and I never saw her again. By that point I was a bit stronger so I didn't bother with party members.

That's exactly what happened to me, although I watched her get eaten by a dragon. Never used another companion after that. Don't even know why I was using one to start with

I was wandering around with Erandur for a good while in my early days of playing Skyrim, until I realized you don't receive XP for your follower's kills. I kicked his ass to the curb after that and didn't bother using any followers again until my character was a much higher level.

Back on Skyrim last night I'd forgotten everything. Couldn't remember who my wife was & if she was alive, couldn't find my companion, couldn't remember where my main house was where I stored everything, couldn't even remember any controls..how to draw my sword, how to bring up the world map etc. But all was good after about an hour (although still no word from wife or companion :(). Been too long away from this game!

I feel your pain. If I spend more than a week or two away from any game, let alone one as detailed as Skyrim, I forget everything.

I decided to give her a shot when I first got her, but every time I'd use a shout she'd get in the damn way and get killed or something; it was incredibly annoying.

So, I opted to never use companions, much like my own Fallout preference.

I never use companions.

Love having companions...the more the merrier.

Speaking of companions..Something funny happened. I've got Lydia and Saadia with me. We go to some Inn, told them to wait, and they both went into sandbox mode, walking around the Inn.

Then the innkeeper, some dude, aproached both of them.

Innkeeper: 'ladies! is there anything a big, strong man can do for you tonight?'
Lydia : 'i don't know...let us know if you see one would you? '

Saaadia and lydia: both laughing
Innkeeper: "harpies!...every one of them!"
Lydia : 'oh come now, don't go away mad...'

:woot:

Yeah. I wish they had implemented Companion quests/storylines into Skryim.

I keep finding s**t in this game. its unreal.

Iv been spending like the past 6 hours working on my house. Iv finished all exterior work and am now working on furnishing the house. I find I'm running low on supplies so i figure a quick run into Riften will solve my problems. Not far from my newly constructed manor was a little cottage. I decided id stop by, see who lives there. Well no one is around, the door is locked so i do what anyone would do, pick the lock and head on inside. I see that no one is there, i mean it looks lived in but no sign of the owner. Then as I'm about to just turn around and leave i hear someone talking from downstairs. I creep down the stair and theres a damn bandit, talking to himself about why he didn't get an education. I didn't let him finish his story, i just put an arrow into his spine. So i come to the conclusion that this lone bandit just moved into some dudes house. I look around a bit, gathering up any gold or anything else i could use and then i get to a book case and i notice there is wind coming from behind the case. A quick look around and i discover a button that opens up the book case revealing a hidden passage. I travel down the passage and discover a huge underground Bandit lair. I must of killed like 15 of em in there and by the end i had like 3 or 4 thousand more in gold.

Its so cool how curiosity can lead to things like that in this game.

I can't think of one, honestly. Sometimes the gameworld they created just feels..alive lol!

I liked how they handled the companions in New Vegas.

I actually kinda forgot about that...I admittedly used many of the New Vegas companions because they were A) awesome and B) had great character. The companion quests were really quite something. If they'd done similar companion quests in Skyrim I'd have be happy to try them out.

Hahaha I remember discovering that same thing. It was pretty damn cool. I was also kind of terrified because I'd just read that "Cabin the Woods" book in Skyrim and thought for sure that was the cabin from the book and that I'd be scared to death at any minute by a headless ghost. Alas, never happened.

I also remember when I first discovered the pirate ship cove to the north somewhere. That was epic.

I wonder if there's any "horror" Easter Eggs like that in Skyrim. Though, it doesn't seem like it'd be as scary as say a werewolf in Red Dead (I loved those rumors), since that stuff actually exists in the Elder Scrolls world. :oldrazz:

There is one. But you have to read a book first. It's called the woodcutter's wife. Some players claims to have seen the ghost, some don't..i personally haven't seen her yet.

That's the one I'm talking about. After reading it I fully expected to see her in that cabin or whatever, but never did. There's a series of them, too, IIRC: The Woodcutter's Wife is kind of a prequel about how the ghost came to be, then The Cabin in the Woods is about a guy taking shelter in some cabin and being haunted by a headless ghost, the wife from the first book.

I was surprised they didn't capitalize on it by including the ghost in game.

^^ yeah man, it's a missed opportunity. It would be cool tp have the woodcutter's wife ghost shows up somewhere..

Imagine you're walking the woods at night, and you hear the sobbing sounds, then see the apparition for just a few seconds.

From the woodcutter's wife book:

To this day, those who walk the pine forest late at night tell tales of a weeping woman glimpsed between the trees. She carries a bloody axe, the stories say, and is terrifying to behold.

Did anyone find it impossible to talk to Garan as a vampire? Don't tell me I've got another quest ending glitch.

I could see the Woodcutters Wife thing being a DLC pack. It reminds me of the Burned Man in New Vegas, this story that seemed really interesting but didn't have any real significance in the mission structure

Man, I started playing Skyrim again to check out the Hearthfire thing, then had to find my way out of a dungeon I'd left my dude in for the Dawnstar stuff, then got sidetracked by a comment about some face sculptor in Riften, then bumbled around from one town to the next for a while wondering how to get the Hearthfire stuff to come up before the courier finally found me, then I looked at the time and realized I was gonna be late for work if I didn't stop right away. I both love and hate Skyrim for its ability to suck me in so easily. :csad:
