I think some people here would appreciate it. Like i say, i don't know anything about it, i just know that it can be done, but i dunno the details...

Sure, when it's actually misinformation.

Granted, it's mostly for when people are playing games illegally. Like with the recent Halo 4 leak.
When I restarted this game, I told myself I would strictly follow the story, just to finally beat the game. But I'm lvl15 right now and still haven't bothered to collect that Horn for the Greybeards. >_<
now that would be embarassingPfft...I bet the Modding Community might be able to figure out how to make Dawnguard accessible for the PS3. -_-
Doing some googling I actually found this great page.
http://www.wikihow.com/Mod-Using-Modio
Modio does have a function where you can download user created saves and I'm fairly sure the majority of them are legit. However, there are also some games that have save editors pre-made and you can make adjustments yourself. There's a great one for Fallout New Vegas. Borderlands springs to mind too. Ah, and my google search has discovered Skyrim has one now, too. Not sure if there's a more recent update but yeah, look at the screen caps and that's how all the magic happens.
lol yeah but with this modding you don't have to tamper with your console.
Ok, so, as i understand it, it's not possible to use mods that uses scripts, but it's possible to add simple items. So my question is, is it then possible to add mods that adds simple armors etc? as it's only meshes and textures.if so, i've got this site that add armors ripped from other games, they're just meshes and textures, relaively small size, and because they don't add the functionality o craft the item yourself, IN THEORY then the xbox users should be able to use them too, right?
You know more about this stuff, dude, i haven't done it myself , but you have, so what do you think?
Edit: hmm..just read it again, so basically it's a save editor, so it may not be possible to manually add items that are not already in the game itself. But i could've sworn i've seen vids of xbox users with new armor mods for FO3 back then, and it wasn't armor that was already in the game too...hmm
^^At the risk of sounding like a PC elitist, i gotta say that Beth games are tailor made for the PC.Not only just because of the extreme modability, but for overall stability as well.
Bethesda are also very supportive to the modding community. I remember one case with this one mod that extremely popular...the scripts extender.A lot of mods are depending on that program and Beth actually held off releasing a patch for NV in order for the modder of that program to be able to integrate his program with the patch.
now that would be embarassing
Aaand if you look into the technical problems they're having it's because of how Sony built the PS3, so in a way they're as much to blame for these shenanigans.
This!
I've got into an argument with couple of the guys here about the subject for pages!...lol
Sony decision to split the RAM is as much to blame for the situation.
Sony was supposed to anticipate that one developers games would be the cause of issues like this 6 years down the line? I really cant say they are to blame for Skyrim's problems. Bethesda should have come into this approaching how they developed it differently considering this isnt the first ime they've had issues.
No matter who's to blame, I'm hoping this won't be an issue next gen either way. I saw the Wii-U's specs, and it has 2 gb of ram. I'm guessing/hoping, the PS4, and Next-box will have atleat 4 gb. Ram isn't expensive like it used to be. Adding far more than what both machines currently have shouldn't up the price too much. Even at that, I'd gladly pay $50 more if it meant double the ram, equaling less problems towards the end of the consoles life.

No. What I'm saying is because of how Sony designed their system, multi-platform games have trouble running on it. They even had the foresight to see that developers would have a hard time working with their system before it launched because of how they designed it.
Name a multi-plat title and chances are it's not going to run as well as it should on PS3. They're all playable, yes, but because the architecture of the hardware is so different from the PC and 360 performance can take a hit.
You could say Bethesda should have developed for the PS3 first, but their game engine uses system memory to store a lot of world data. I'm not sure they could have found a better way to manage a persistent open world that has to keep track of so many things on the PS3 and writing a new game engine from scratch like that can take 5-10 years.

I doubt next-gen systems will need more than 1GB, maybe 2 tops. They don't have to worry about running background processes and all that so too much RAM would be useless.
One or two? Personally, I'm hoping for six. Modern consoles do have their OS running in the background. And current high-end PC games typically require anywhere from four to eight GB of RAM.
yes but is that really all necesary? Does the game really need to keep track of that loaf of bread you dropped in one of the hundreds of houses in the world? I wonder if they considered making compromises to the game to account for this. One possible solution is to have things dynamically "reset" for non-quest items so every little minor thing isnt stored in the game's memory. Also limit the number of active quests. If you arent doing them all as you go along, you can easily find yourself with dozens of the radiant quests in your backlog and that takes up memory space. Have a set limit and prompt the player to complete or remove older ones in order to get new ones. Would this amount to having a "gimped" PS3 version? Possibly, but it would be worth it if it ended up being a functional version which is what most people want at this point. That's the core of the problem right there. Skyrim keeps tracks of EVERY little things you've done ingame. Add Dawnguard, and it's like trying to fit a 500 pounds Gorilla into a fridge...it's not gonna work.
But...next gen WII gona get 2GB ram? whoah...![]()
