Ellis on Thunderbolts??

I'm not saying he's completely innocent in this war but he's got the right idea. So no to fascism.

Right heart, wrong mind. If anything, he's as guilty as Tony for dragging on a needless fight that could be ended quicker, and with far fewer ramifications.

I think its a great idea. the current thunderbolts is getting boring and not making much sense. Plus we get to see more villians in a different light then we would normaly see them in.

Must be a brand new Penance because the only other Penance I've heard of is the one that's clearly showing up in The Loners.

Anyway, there's also this nice cover:

Looks like Clayton Crane's doing

Awesome. One less title to pick up. Must Osborne be all over the damn place? Sigh.

I just.... don't know about this. I like the T-bolts as is, don't ask me to explain why, but it's always a nice little book that I like picking up. I don't know if this darker turn will be for me.

See, now this is something that makes me want to pick up a book. I've never given two dead fooks about the Thunderbolts, however, I do enjoy Bullseye and to a lesser extent, the Green Goblin:up:

Plus I've never read any Ellis and I've really been contemplating it lately, almost picked up the first Planetary trade, but I'll probably just wait for this to test whether I like his writing style or not:up:

Embarrassing that I've never read any of him:csad: I've read all the other big namers I swear:csad:

Interesting. I would have prefered to see the Green Goblin on a new Sinister Six comprising of Spidey's more mentally unstable rogues. Or, better yet, a new Masters of Evil. But still, this might be cool.

I'll definitly give it a shot. I like the members that are staying (Songbird and Radioactive Man are two of my favorites), and it sounds cool. I dropped the book after the abysmal #100, but I'm very interested.

Oh, Sinister Six is played out, this is a more interesting angle, working for the government, but mostly because this group isn't 100% preoccupied with Spidey

I think this a cool team (I could do without "Voldo") but it seems like it would work better as a mini. I enjoy the team as it is, I like the Thunderbolts that are truly looking for redemption. Like somebody else said whats gonna happen with Mach IV, Blizzard, and Atlas. I also like that the Squadren Supreme has appeared in atleast 30% of this current run, the Squadren is a big reason why I have enjoyed Thunderbolts so much. What will happen with Hyperion, Doc Spectrum, and Speed Demon? I will pick it up though.

HOW ABOUT INSTEAD OF BASTARDIZING THE THUNDERBOLTS AND TURNING THEM INTO A SUICIDE SQUAD RIP-OFF, JUST MAKE A NEW MASTERS OF EVIL BOOK :o

(YOU KNOW, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE AN UBER-POWERFUL VERSION OF THE MASTERS OF EVIL CONSISTING OF POPULAR VILLAINS SUCH AS THE GREEN GOBLIN, DR. DOOM, ULTRON, RED SKULL, LOKI, BULLSEYE, ABOMINATION, AND APOCALYPSE)

The Squadron Sinister made me hate the Thunderbolts/Avengers fight.

Yeah, but the Six is usually just a Spider-Man Revenge Squad. Way I see it, my version would be a group of psychos going about and doing as they pleased.

Thats what I meant by making it a mini-series. I had been thinking a lot lately that Marvel should do something like this as a mini for the Masters of Evil or The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

They should take the members of the Thunderbolts who dont stay on the team and team them up with the Squadren Supreme.

The New Squadren Supreme

Hyperion
Doc Spectrum
Speed Demon
Nighthawk
Atlas
Mack IV
Blizzard
Fixir

This looks good, seeing Green Goblin and Venom on a team has me sold.

You're acting like they ditched the whole team. They kept 4 of the key members. I would've taken Mach IV over Moonstone or Swordsman, but I'm really glad to see Radioactive Man and Songbird still around. They're two of my favorites. They aren't destroying the premise; those 4 still seek redemption. Yeah, 4 killers are being forced on the team, but putting 3 of Marvel's best villians on a team is pretty freaking cool, in my opinion. Plus, with the New Avengers (most likely) on the run Post-CW, it's going to add a very interesting twist to the Avengers/T-Bolts rivalry.

Apocalypse,yuck.

I can't see guys like Skull,Doom or Loki working with a team right now. Those asses are way too selfish and caught up on their own business.

I understand why some of you all would hate the idea, but I kind of like it. Yes, it's a complete shift in direction, but it could be for what it's worth. I, for one, am excited and will pick up the first issue.

Yea,this has potential to be really different.Bad guys being bad guys without trying to be reformed, only working for the government.

mmmhmm. I've noticed you getting into DC recently and if you think this idea has potential, I reccomend you to read the whole Suicide Squad series from the late 80s. Very, very good stuff. I've only read a few issues, but it's amazing. I was talking to my music teacher (of all people) about it and he said that it didn't get bad really at all. It was cancled on a high note.

Your music teacher was right. Of course, it had a dip here and there, but otherwise it was a very solid run. A rare feat.
