Elon Musk Buys X (formerly Twitter): Just Use Bluesky, Threads, or Mastodon Instead

Despite what Musk wants and his paranoia since being publicly booed, plane data is public information.

Planes have to know where other planes are so they don't crash into each other.

It sounds like him being booed triggered a bout of wild paranoia. The fake stalker, sending his mob after a random guy, and now attacking the "threats" on Twitter. It sounds like he is being paranoid about the decisions on the company slack, hiding it from people.

Its a pity regulatory agencies are so slow.

EDIT: And just saw the "assassination coordinates" tweet. God. being booed broke him.

EDIT 2: Oh god, he tried two different polls about the bans, the results didn't go the way he wanted. And then there is audio of him having a meltdown with people having an audio chat over twitter.

Musk has shuttered Twitter Spaces after popping in to remind everybody they're banned again. It could come back but for now geez.

This is where the journalists and others were still on the site after being banned.

Max Fisher, NY Times: "People really need to understand how mainstream it has become in some tech VC circles to argue that journalism itself is dangerous as an idea and should be abolished, and that it will be up to the tech world to carry this out." (thread)

The Libertarian Logic of Peter Thiel | Backchannel (2017)

Those peers may privately worry that democracy isn’t the ideal way to choose our leaders, but Thiel will write straightforwardly in a 2009 essay for the libertarian think tank the Cato Institute that “the vast increase in welfare beneficiaries and the extension of the franchise to women—two constituencies that are notoriously tough for libertarians—have rendered the notion of ‘capitalist democracy’ into an oxymoron.” For these reasons, Thiel names the 1920s as “the last decade in American history during which one could be genuinely optimistic about politics,” though presumably 2016 restored his faith in the electoral process.

Politico - Twitter suspends journalist accounts without explanation, angering lawmakers and those affected

Fox News Twitter is literally celebrating. Back in the day journalists defended Fox from getting tossed out of the White House press pool (justifiably so they are WWE not news) but of course now they don't return the favor.

Is anyone surprised Fox News is somehow immune to journalists being banned on Twitter? If you are, realize Fox News is not journalism. It is sensationalist propaganda for conservatives and in no way reporting accurate news.

If Musk bans it on Twitter no one can find out about how awful he is.

Nah, Elon's popularity was a cult. He fed off that libertarian tech bro culture. Those on the left were just fooled by it by his pithy comments on climate change. As the left started to embrace labor rights again, he quickly abandoned those comments. I mean, the mere fact that his Mars plan involves indentured servitude should have said everything.

And it looks like one of the "reporters" Elon has doing PR control for the right on twitter apparently has enough integrity to call out his ****ty behavior. And the descent of twitter into Gab 2.0 continues.

Guess it could be described like that before too. Some left people I know have still been on that Musk train till way too recently.

Bloomberg reporting that Musk is officially looking for new investors (at the $54.20 level).

The left was never fooled by him. This is all on those centrist. :argh:

What Elon really wants is to be loved. When the hate he received was just online he could compartmentalize it. That stadium of boos broke him so fundamentally.
I agree. He could treat the other stuff as, "the complaints of an echo chamber". He was at a Dave Chappelle show. People paid to see a bigot, and still were like, "nah dog".

Oh Elon. Just because you were suckered in at a insanely high price, doesn't mean others will. Others have actually heard of this thing called due diligence.

Is he taking business advice from Trump? Never pay for something unless you have no choice?
