Elon Musk Buys X (formerly Twitter): Just Use Bluesky, Threads, or Mastodon Instead

Racist Apartheid Melon hates diversity, equity, and inclusion, prefers whites.

Oligarch Melon meets with far right leaders in Europe.

Twitter embeds in posts have been broken (not loading) for over 12 hours now.

That's been a permanant problem for me for a while now so I don't even notice. Before it was because I blocked their third party tracking cookies, then it was because Musk demanded you be logged in to be tracked. And now...? Who knows what he's broken.

From child labor in the mines - to your electric car

Melon is suppressing articles on Twitter from a source (largest newspaper in Sweden) reporting on alleged underage child labor used for mineral mining in Madagascar for batteries the other day.

[Elon Musk's] X warns about Aftonbladet's Tesla review

In the review Glimmern pris, Aftonbladet reveals how child labor in mines in Madagascar can be linked to Tesla. Now X, which is owned by Tesla founder Elon Musk, has provided the article with a warning. - It is remarkable, says Karin Schmidt, editor-in-chief at Aftonbladet.

Even though Twitter and Tesla are technically different companies - one private and one publicly traded - once again Melon messes with one because of the other. He suppresses negative stories on Twitter, he suppresses third party business on Tesla after his tirades and lack of moderation freaked out advertisers, he has/had Tesla engineers go work on Twitter, and so on.

"Free speech absolutist" right up until you hurt his feelings.

Got into Mozilla Social and Bluesky. The latter is pretty active and works just like Twitter. The former feels like Mastodon with a Mozilla blog skin on it.

Poor build quality is how Tesla has maintained their higher margins on every car sold versus the competition. People pay all that money for crap that was a status symbol.

Jalopnik - Tesla Yokes Are a Joke, Plagued by Horrible Quality Issues
Drivers are reporting their yoke steering wheels are peeling or coming apart at low miles.

Daily Dot - ‘It looks like toddlers put this together’: Viral TikTok shows poor build quality of Teslas, sparking debate
'I get Teslas are a touchy subject... but this I don't understand.'

Tesla blamed drivers for failures of parts it long knew were defective

Wheels falling off cars at speed. Suspensions collapsing on brand-new vehicles. Axles breaking under acceleration. Tens of thousands of customers told Tesla about a host of part failures on low-mileage cars. The automaker sought to blame drivers for vehicle ‘abuse,’ but Tesla documents show it had tracked the chronic ‘flaws’ and ‘failures’ for years.
