Because in the end he is still a greedy businessman that is into exploiting people.
That kind of clashed with his fake ideology nonsense, so he stumbled dumbly around justifying why he would rather hire immigrants despite wanting to get rid of them in america.

That is a good deal for a relatively new car. But I'm sure the cars have a lot of miles on them or something. There has to be a catch.
