Australian "Who" magazine has an article on Hugh - who is filming "Australia" now with Nicole Kidman - and he's asked about Wolverine.

Q. You have a Wolverine spinoff coming up as well, right?

A. Looks like we are going to film that at the end of the year. I'm very excited. We're just about to lock in a director and the script we have is really fantastic. This is going to be a whole new direction for Wolverine and hopefully we are just going to blow people away.

o please, wolverine's story has already been told in x1- x3. this is gonna be so lame.

Interesting. So that probably means we'll be looking at a Winter or Fall release for the film rather than a Summer one.

This is awesome, Cant wait. Omega Red? Deadpool? Maverick? We can only hope.

thats a tad ignorant...:hyper:

sure we know some about him.... but we still know nothing really.

Clearly ignorant.

So it looks like a Winter 08 release which is fine by me. Throw it in the same spot as Night at the Museum and no other film will go near it. I liked the summary the script but I refuse to read that script review this early. LOL

I'm staying away from the spoilers.

I found out everything for X3, and it ruined it for me. :csad:

The only roadblock IMO for "winter 2008" is that the movie Hugh is filming now with Nicole Kidman, "Australia", will probably come out around the same time (my bet is Nov./Dec.), and that's also a Fox property. Not sure how close Fox would want to schedule two of it's movies with the same star together - although completely different genres.

If they wanted to, they could still release this film in the very late Summer or Fall 2008. Hopefully they won't though, cause that'd be scary. November 2008 sounds good, unless 'Australia' is released around the time, like Narrows said. Then, maybe wait until Feb/March/April 2009 and Push Magneto to a Winter 2009 date. Not sure if they want both films in the same year.
