Sweating on it

LOOKS like being a very long, hot summer in Sydney for Hugh Jackman and his brood with news that the Baz Luhrmann epic Australia is several weeks behind schedule.

If that's the case, Jackman may be forced to shoot his next film - Wolverine, an X-Men spin-off - in Sydney.

This would be an awesome boost for the film industry, but Jackman's local publicist is cautious about the location.

"It's definitely his next project,'' she says, "but I believe Australia is just one of the countries under consideration.''

Jackman, meanwhile, has informed friends he expects to be in Sydney for at least the next six months, staying at Point Piper mansion Altona, where the rent is around $35,000 a week.

Another tad piece of info - it was reported somewhere the WOLVERINE was filming November-February at Fox Studios in Sydney and then the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie was moving in after that. A more precise timeline - I assume this means WOLVERINE will be done by this time:

First up, shooting is slated to begin mid-February in Sydney, Australia and the shoot will run for approximately three to four months under the helm of the confirmed George Miller.
